  1. I don't think anything more than a redirect to a small subsection in the relevant page would be needed. as as said, most of the shit for Interns can be applied to the main job, with just some expectation changes.
  2. when did i say this are you assuming my free time
  3. having crossbows being extremely unweildly is one of the balancing features for how stronk it is. I don't personally feel it actually needs changes.
  4. Ideally you'd just give it a BST that would extend from it's groin
  5. sadly the voice filter that served this function is either broken, or purposefully removed. if it's the latter, presumably to keep immersion, despite the stupid shit like headbutting airlocks being kept in.
  6. just simply hop into the disposal bin as you're about to vomit, easy peasy.
  7. According to Wikipedia's definition of "Forensic Investigation" It has no mention or even hints at Footprints being in the scope. And you shouldn't say something is impossible, I already have it planned out.
  8. None of the above suggested changes are within the range of "forensics", and would only add more things for the detective to investigate in a crime scene, that are not forensics related. instead of "oh yeah there's blood that's nice" and "well I guess they died here". none of which are particularly useful.
  9. I don't see how whoever's playstlye with detective matters at all, as the suggestion is giving them more ways to aquire information.
  10. As it is now, Detective plays like a CSI without Forensics access, and the only thing that they, as a detective can do, that a random grayshirt can't. is have an office, and a gun with lethals. Detective, as a concept, is based around information, however, 99% of the physical information the detective can get comes from forensics, which I feel is "meh" at best, as the detective can't even get access to do it if there's no CSI. I'm of the oppinion the detective generally should be provided with more information - ideally stuff the CSI can't access, such as a shoe-pattern database, to get what type of shoe it was, logs from cameras (Presumably cameras should be able to output logs - ideally vague due to low spess resolution) or other machines. things like that. I'm actually planning on doing this eventually, I'd just like more feedback on what information detective should be able to get that a CSI wouldn't.
  11. I see nothing wrong with adding a little bit of fluff, as long as it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the game, which this wouldn't.
  12. only if they explode when thrown on people, covering them in vomit.
  13. would be infinitely better than just a gun factory science, as now you'd actually have to do something asides from mindlessly mash a button to get the guns.
  14. What. You are not making sense here. Let me try to get us on the same page. We are not changing the spells to a whole new system. To be specific, I am not requesting for a change from fireball to Avada Kedavra. The only proposed is to allow players chant their magic word instead of incoherent things that no understands. Yes, and that makes the as it is now consistent spells, inconsistent by letting players choose the word said.
  15. While I agree with you on certain points here, namely the potential for abuse, I also firmly disagree that consistency should be a requirement for wizards. They are already wildly varied in design, costume, and powers available on a round by round basis. That doesn't make it inconsistent. The spells themselves never change words. Just what spells people use. And "we r hrp remov fun thing" argument is a strawman at best. We have robot nurses with neon pink hair that goes down to the floor, which would ruin anyone's immersion a lot more than an "EI Nath" Hell the argument that the hulk spell referencing Bruce Banner is a meme could apply to the hulk mutation itself. As it turns people into strong, angry, green men. Fuck; the title of this thread is an example of why I'm against this, it'd just go below what low standards we have already.
  16. Allowing wizards to choose the words casted to spells would have several effects. None of them positive. * More memes. If the issue is a spell is a meme, allowing the entirely of the playerbase to choose what meme/reference it is would be counterproductive at best. * the spells are consistent. As it is now. Making it inconsistent would just make the gameplay with wizard less consistent. Which isn't a good thing.
  17. What I mean is only for the IDs. no change in visuals, it's literally just putting the paper-reading mechanic on the ID. All ID objects are just named ID until you examine it within 2 tiles >be far >examine person >you can only see that person has ID on them >John Doe is wearing an ID >Be withing 2 tiles of person >examine person > John Doe is wearing an ID (John Doe, Assistant) literally just this In that situation you would still get their name if they didnt have a mask on, making this suggestion moot, as you can just look on the manifest. Unless you want EVERYONES name to fall under that criteria, then that's a solid "no"
  18. I don't think it changes nothing! This gives more of an advantage to whoever attacked first if the other side dropped their guard enough to holster their rifles/shotguns/whatever's on their back. But that only helps in those specific situations, as this tweak only affects those and you wouldn't normally be bothered by it anywhere else. people Already have the advantage in that situation.
  19. if you want to be stealthy/get away with examines, just wear a mask and put your ID in your pocket or something,.
  20. if you're going to have two duplicate gamemodes, but one with less effort in it, why even bother?
  21. Eh, there's a significant effort needed to get someone, and we have shitty rune design regardless. * It's inconsistent because someone can just meme resist out, and even if they do that half of them ghost because they can't accept that they can't always get what they want in a video game. * People can just refuse and call for help, meming the cult. *It doesn't require two people to use for some reason. And regardless, the "insta rune" isn't instant, the stuns required to get you are like the meme flash paper however are.
  22. I still regard AOOC as a mistake, it only leads to shitty, stale gimmicks instead of people actually doing anything. Gimmicks are shit, and the whole point of the suggestion as a sleeper agent gamemode, which would actually be great. It's a shame so many good possibilities for mixed gamemodes go to waste due to nobody accepting that they should generally go along with the theme of the antag, but I digress. adding another shit blender of two separate game-modes would be easy enough to do in five minutes. though I'm still of the opinion that separate mixed game-modes should be fine tuned to farther support the theme they should be giving off instead of "xd throw 2 different gamemodes together at once"
  23. It should be encouraged, because otherwise it'll just be "unga Bunga traitor and heisters with no collaboration" Instead of a sleeper agent assisting in a heist with the limited tools at their disposal.
  24. I've been meaning to completely redo the thing, so just hold tight In that regard.
  25. Giving the person on the station a syndicate headset/key and some flavor image to encourage communication would be good. I still think that more of the mixed gamemodes should be fine tuned like that instead of just a mix.
