  1. Without these tools it's really not unlikely for the parties to fizzle out when discovered by Security/Command, especially with nerfs to powered crossbows and the like, which were the go-to prior to these uplinks. I also adore how the uplinks can be utilized for theming and other fun things. Without them, I'd likely never enable either antag role as it'd just be a staler traitor that gets rolled if they can't snowball recruitment (and offering crew suitcases of money or items from the uplink is very, very good for recruitment).
  2. Why not just use spray paint.
  3. I generally use it as a vomit on command if I realize my character has been poisoned (especially if via food or drink), as vomiting removes a fair bit of toxins. It's versatile, and in your use case you should still be able to easily, just keep your hunger bar moderated.
  4. As someone practiced in vomiting on command, a dry heave is what occurs when I try to make myself puke on an empty stomach. It's pretty rare to have an empty stomach in-game unless you're sitting on red hunger for a long while.
  5. Bright has been consistently communicative, proactive and quite helpful in the couple of rounds I played with him. A positive experience all around, and something I hope to see again when JJ tries other roles! +1
  6. While I don't terribly agree with most of this, in particular I wish to say: Please, God, no fucking lawyers. Ever. Oh, and I don't want a commissary/merchant as part of the crew because then they're much more obligated to report sales of interesting things like weapons to Command. Operations itself is already very casual, it's just that people don't tend to order stuff very often.
  7. I'd like this quite a lot! It would help off-duty antags in particular, who may want to visit the merchant without having to come up with a briefcase of money.
  8. Despite that my opinion on him may be rather biased positively, I must say that JayJay always puts incredible effort into his characters - no matter even if he designs them to be discarded after a week or a month. The knowledge that he's delayed this app just because he wanted to be absolutely certain of the direction and style of this command character has me sure he won't put anything less than his best into the trial and subsequent command play. He's yet to underdeliver, and I can't see him doing it now. +1
  9. If that's the case, wonderful. Origins would be just fine (though this might be weird with IPC origins).
  10. I only mention accents in particular due to the off-station antag accent changing stuff, as I do not uncommonly see Heisters/Mercs taking an accent without the associated language. It occurred to me after trying to speak to a heister with a Xanu accent in Freespeak, and realizing he didn't have Freespeak.
  11. I wasn't suggesting adding language slots, I was suggesting keeping the same number of 'pick your language' slots while having accents give you their cultural language for free.
  12. I like the historical subtext of the current name - if we were to change it, I'd hope we also change from the French 'Legionnaire' to the more correct 'Legionary' titles, given the former mostly made sense in the context of that historical comparison.
  13. Per the title. An example would be the Sol accent giving Sol Common for free, or the Xanu accent giving Freespeak for free. Ideally without taking away from the existing 'pick and choose' language slots, so if you were a Solarian you'd get Basic (free), Sol Common (free), and your choice of two extra languages. My main reason for desiring this is often seeing off-ship antagonists pick an accent and forget to take the language that goes with it. My secondary reason is simply wanting more language slots, as the amount of languages slowly grows (I love when languages are added, Elyran Standard is the kind of flavour I want to see more of!) yet crew are stuck with only knowing a few languages no matter how old they are. So, two birds with one stone would be this suggestion as a very simple solution to both matters.
  14. Might actually be very interesting for hostage situations, sending a hostage back when you're at the edge of teleporter range.
  15. I don't mean to make assumptions here, but isn't deck three the bridge/command deck - not the hangar/i.e.v.a./operations deck, which is deck one?
  16. Very communicative and helpful. My only critique is that I noticed you seemed to rush the title on an Interim command member, but I've already mentioned that in DMs and you said you'd slow down to ensure it's spelled/capitalized correctly - so the good responsiveness to critique further improves my opinion! +1
  17. Can't we just have both?
  18. I like this idea. Lack of a pharmacist can truly hurt, this benefits low-pop quite well and makes Operations more relevant during it.
  19. If you're docked properly as the mercs you're probably not going stealthy, to be fair.
  20. After a couple of rounds with them: Nomakk is an interesting XO to interact with, helpful and communicative when the need arises without letting his lazy side prevent him from working - which is very appreciable. I also often see him traveling about the station with Ian, leaving a doubly good impression given how much that Corgi is forgotten. Simple but positive feedback for a simple but good member of command. +1
  21. Even if they're not in most lockers due to basically being extra suit sensors, put the things on the IEVA suit racks. Any time someone uses a voidsuit or hardsuit they'll want a GPS; and command roles like RD, Captain, CE (if he doesn't have one already) and HoS will want one in their lockers given they all have personal voidsuits/hardsuits.
  22. I'd like this if you could colour them on each open-facing side differently, though the sprites may require adjustment for that to look good.
  23. Jill is a quite enjoyable character to interact with from my experience with them, so I'd be very interested to see a strong personality in the position of Research Director. If they're as social in the position of Command as they are off it, that would make them very communicative which is always a huge plus to me! +1
  24. I would hardly consider the existence of residential to be OOC or something not to be considered. Even disregarding it, the names are fine - they match the floors of a building in a way people can easily understand.
