  1. I'm not asking you to remove the complaint. I'm just providing my response to the complaint, because I have the ability and right to do so.
  2. I never said you didn't deserve respect..? Yes, I haven't spoken to you in a while. But I have reasons for that, and I'd rather not share them here. I understand you do not want to be messed with, and as I said. It won't happen anymore from me. The event you held was nice.
  3. Well no, I would not have apologized if Yonni did not point it out to me, because again, I did not understand that it could have been taken as an insult. I have done this to other players, and they all usually laugh about it. I figured you would to. I only did it because I missed you and was happy to see you return to the server. I do apologize, sincerely, I just missed you, and really did think you'd find it funny. Like many others tend to do. I should not have done it, and it will not happen again.
  4. Excellent work, I've decided to accept your application. Have fun!
  5. I'll be granting you a trial. Trial begins on 1/25/2020 and ends 2/1/2020. Good luck!
  6. I'm absolutely certain I can stick to this Character. I have a few that I've stuck with in the past, lived out their arcs, then moved on to newer things. Amelia Huey, Kylie Young, and Ash'vna M'wari, etc. I will admit, that majority of the characters you see there are not really around, or played often, simply because I've grown a bit tired of them. Kylie was my first Captain. Fun, interesting to play, and a great character to learn with. She died. Amelia is my Second, and main Captain. I've had her for about two years (Maybe a little under two years actually, but I can't fully recall). I made her because Dominian lore interested me, and I figured playing an Edict Breaker Captain would be a blast, and create some internal conflict. Which it did. Ash'vna, first Tajaran character. When I started with her, I played her from cadet, up to Officer. I spent two weeks or so oocly with her as a Cadet, and went up to Officer, and played through a rather generic arc. I did make the mistake of making her a centrist Taj, who didn't care about the war because she had moved off planet. But, in all honesty when I started playing Tajarans, I was afraid of messing lore up, making general mistakes, and embarrassing myself. So I saw the way Ash is played, to be the best bet until I became more comfortable with Tajaran lore. Any Character I have really played through for a while, has always had something different about them. Kylie was my first Captain. I loved playing Captain, and in turn I loved playing her. Amelia was my first non-solarian Captain, who even had a decent background to her. It was interesting to me, so I played her often. I still do, just not as often as I should. Ash'vna was my first Tajaran. I loved playing her because it was my first whitelisted species, and it was interesting to me, even if I had trouble keeping up with the constant lore changes, additions, and pasts. All that being said, yes. I believe I can stick with Dreams of Curiosity, because it's new to me, and like I said in the app above, the lore behind the race is extremely interesting to me. Now, will I ever grow tired of the character? I don't know. I can't answer that for you, because I have not played them yet. I just have to wait and see. One last reason you may not see a lot of these characters, is because I mainly observe and simply watch the round that ensues, while handling tickets, or doing some side stuff. Regarding your actual question about them being different. Out of my two, almost three years of being here. I have never, ever, met a Dionae that was grown on the Aurora, smuggled off station, and then returned to work on the station. This Dionae will be about a year and a half old, maybe a little more. Instead of the common, couple decades old Dionae that know pretty much everything, this one is new to life still, and loves to learn. While yes, I know that there was a mechanical restriction regarding age for Dionae. I still think this is one of the top reasons on why it's unique compared to the others on station. And.. again, other than that, I have to play the character to really give it a more unique personality. I'm a more hands on type of person. I hope this answered your questions. If not, please let me know!
  7. Hey so, after a very very long time deliberating, and even passing the day I said I'd have an answer to you by.. I don't think I'm going to be giving you a trial. However; this does not mean you cannot get one in the future. I'd like to see you reapply in a month or two, after I see you online more, and how you play the game, etc. I won't get into specifics with you on the forums, but if you'd like, feel free to dm me on discord at Mini Moose#6944
  8. BYOND Key: ReadThisNamePlz Character Names: Species you are applying to play: Dionae What color do you plan on making your first alien character: I'm exempt, boiiiii Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes, of course. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: Quite honestly, I find Dionae to be one of the most unique, and creative species there is. (Sorry Skrell). The fact that they have the ability to form living super computers, ships, and even planets is just mind boggling to me. I want to have a part in it. The Dionae are so under-explored, and under played compared to Unathi, Skrell, Taj, and IPC's (sorry bugs). It leaves so many doors open for interesting role-play, odd conflict, confusing but exciting interactions, etc. There is just infinite potential with this race. Dionae are not politically locked like Humans, or Skrell, they do not belong to a caste system like the Unathi, they do not have constant civil war on a near useless chunk of ice, like the Tajaran's, and they're alive unlike IPC's. They remind me of nano-bots almost, little independent nano-bots that come to form sentient beings, that range from a six - eight nymph cyclops, to a Cetus which is made up of millions of nymphs. It's breath taking-ly unique. I want to play a curious creature that will learn over time, and hopefully develop and grow as time progresses. Don't even get me started on the Viscerabelt. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Well, for starters - Diona/Dionae are comprised of several different living creatures called nymphs. A cyclops (the most common Gestalt you'll see) is usually comprised of six - eight nymphs, and has a very high intelligence/learning potential. They are open to learning, do not care much for money, and really just wanna vibe with others. They are fine with working for cheap, and would even help pay rent or bills as long as they have a good place to be. They're really unique compared to humans, or other species. Character Name: Dreams of Curiosity Please provide a short backstory for this character A gardener named "Athena Palmer" was working aboard the Aurora, roughly a year and a half ago. She had been instructed by a Dionae Research Director, "Knowledge is Truth" to plant six Nymph pods. Of course, the woman complied and planted the pods. Five of the six did not successfully grow due to a sudden power outage, caused by a storm that passed over the station. Though; when the power came back on, the sixth pod was split open, only to reveal there was no Nymph inside of it. Instead, Athena heard chirping behind the sink, where a small Nymph had been trying to get to the emergency lighting hoping to rejuvenate itself to avoid the same fate that took it's "siblings". When the gardener, Athena approached the little Nymph, it scrambled into the vents. After some searching, the Director, and Athena both found the Nymph under a spotlight near the engine room, they assumed it had been pulled towards the natural radiation of the engine. After being found, the Nymph conversed with the Director, and learned where it was, what it was, why it was here, and much more. Like all Nymphs, this one was naturally curious. It refused to stop asking questions, and only sought to learn more and more. Athena had returned to hydroponics by now, while the Director took the Nymph to it's department and began to teach it the basic ways of life. Much like how a parent cares for and teaches their own child. After time passed, and the crew transfer shuttle arrived. The director smuggled the Nymph out of the Aurora and onto the Odin. Jump forward three months, the Nymph had grown into a full Cyclops now, and sought for a citizenship from the TCR. Once the citizenship was granted, and each nymph was chipped, the now full grown Dionae, began to work, and learn. It loved to learn, it was so skeptical and curious of everything. The Dionae did not have a full grasp on laws, especially ones that prevented it from learning new things. While working at its job, as a basic clerk for a law office. It heard of a company by the name of Nano-Trasen. Naturally, the Dionae's curiosity peaked. They began to read and research about the mega corporation. For another year, it worked as the clerk, but the moment it became eligible to become an official employee, it took the opportunity. After the Dionae was hired, it was assigned to the NSS Aurora, much to it's delight, might I add. It was thrilled to be back at the station that it was grown from, and even considered it to be it's home, to an extent. What do you like about this character? I like that the way I have it set up, I can play a very curious Dionae who values the station due to it being grown on board, a year and some time prior. I think it could give me some interesting role-play. I think it How would you rate your role-playing ability? Solid ten, no cap. (im kidding please, it's more like a 6/10 depending on the day) Notes: Yonni = Stinky Edited to correct my dyslexic errors.
  9. If you'll allow me until Sunday, (JAN/19/20) I will have an answer for you.
  10. I will grant you a trial. Trial begins 1/18/20 - will end JAN/25/20 Gather feedback, good luck.
  11. Your application has been reviewed and assigned.
  12. I will handle this appeal, as @ToasterStrudel is retired. I miss him so much Please allow me to look into this, and I will get back to you on it.
  13. Hey, I'm not handling this complaint as of now, but I want to clarify something from an outside pov. Regarding the "tummy rubs" it may be creepy to you, but others might not find it creepy. You can label it creepy for yourself, but since it is an opinion and not factual, you cannot label it creepy for all. I believe that is what @Pratepresidenten meant by that.
  14. https://pastebin.com/vfhKhwNi The persons interview, or whatever.
  15. Hello, before I can consider giving you a trial, you need to gather more feedback. Please advertise your application.
  16. Going to deny this, since you have collected 0 feedback.
  17. Okay bud. I'm going to tell you this now. You're being overly hostile. You are being rude, abrasive, and for lack of better wording- You're being a general asshole. If you want Alb, Skull or anyone really to even entertain the thought of unbanning you.. You've gotta clean up your attitude. Our first rule on the server is, Don't be a dick. And right now, you're being a dick. I'm sure you've got genuine reasons for appealing, and that you really are serious about playing here. But I also think you need to work on controlling your anger. Yes, this process is annoying, but an appeal is not a right. It's a privilege. That being said, I apologize for harsh language I've used.
  18. ok, we will close and deny. Thank.
  19. This is a reminder that all posts here must be on topic. The Author of the PR and the Author of the Idea have selected the sprite they wish to use. Further posts regarding the sprites being used will simply be hidden, unless they have permission to be posted by the PR's author, and the person who made the idea. As of right now, Dronz has requested that their sprites be used. It is not an attempt to cut anyone out of a project, or anything of the sort- They just prefer their sprite to be used, for their idea.
  20. Very well, I will lift the ban, when I log on tomorrow.
  21. Hey there, sorry for the slight delay. You've passed your trial! Locking and Archiving.
  22. Hi, I will be handlnig this since Datberry has since retired. You were banned once before doing this, for a week, for the same reason. Will you end up doing this again?
  23. This is pretty much my thoughts summed into one. The Syndicate involve Humans, Tajarans, IPCs, Unathi.. etc. It wouldn't be just up to the human lore dev.
  24. Locking and Archiving within the next 24 hours.
