  1. Okay. We have agreed that Paradox was in the right in this situation. Your fellow mercenaries even told you not to murder the research director. You then intentionally murdered them. This would be fine had you given them any sort of roleplay OR if they had given you any reason to murder them, but that's not what happened. You killed them in a firefight for no actual reason. They did not pose a danger as they were very obviously unarmed and you had many other choices according to your gimmick - as an example, it was possible to injure and then capture. Or just capture, as you had all the tools to do that. Paradox's reasoning stands solid. I urge you to appeal whenever you feel like you want to start playing again, but I would give it a month to be sure.

Being uniform in design is something that people like to flaunt a lot until you find out that it practically murders creativity and opportunities for cool items - because things have to always be "consistent" with everything else in the department. Unfortunately, that's not how it works. I don't think it's exactly outlandish to have an item or two that differs from a department's style. Especially when said item works to give the different megacorps a bit of life and presence in the station. The reason why I was a fan of the old sprite is that it did just that - it represented Zeng-hu excellently. The current one is... I don't know, but it's pretty bland, and I don't like it.

  8. We had a discussion about this in maintainer chat and the consensus is that we don't really want this. It really only enables head of staff frontlining, by virtue of allowing them to get lethals from cargo or science. In addition, the RD and CMO are already powerful as it is. They don't need more, because their dept already has strong shit.

  12. I'd be in favour of what the OP is suggesting, but do keep in mind that if someone is resting then they wouldn't be able to use their radio.

  14. This seems like an odd thing to suggest because this is usually what happens. I'm not aware of any instances of what you're describing happen. Did you have that antag mode on in your pref? What admins usually do is click a button that gives the gamemode's antag types to the people that have them toggled.
  15. Agreed. After playing with them for a while, I like the old ones a lot more. Same goes for the hud sunglasses.
  16. I'm approving a trial on this on the condition that this trial will be stricter than usual on rulebreaks. I'm sure it won't be a problem, though. Your whitelist will be given... when the WI works.
  17. This is a feedback thread. Please put your feedback or thoughts here, because this thread will affect how lethal the game will be. You may have noticed an in game poll has been set up for brainmed. This is to gauge how easily people die currently. If you have any grievances with overall lethality say them now, but this is mainly about time-to-kill with most weapons.

  19. M'sai don't really crumble without their exosuit/chems/legbrace though. They're not really comparable.
