[Resolved] Complaint On DasFox
TheSleepyCatmom replied to Lady Fowl's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
I wasn't told this, Shev. I was only told you'd escaped. My order was presumed you were out of cuffs and gone, as in poof. We watched Carmichael do this before when we shot at him. We didn't know if you could or not, and that proved it to me that you could, hence my order. I didn't know you were, at any point, detained again. I'm not saying ignorance is a reason to completely excuse it, but how was I supposed to know if I wasn't told? You complied with the other trooper. If you were innocent, what do you have to lose by complying? Absolutely nothing. That's exactly how I saw it. That's exactly how Security deals with it. 'If you're innocent, lets prove it. You've nothing to lose by complying in that case.' You're only making matters worse by resisting and adding a charge. Even if the first one is illegitimate. That's how the law works, you know. I don't see that as skirting around the dominate command. I had absolutely no frag grenades on me. I didn't know he took the entire box. I *Only knew* he had a single grenade in his underslung. That's it. You can argue this all you like, but I'm physically unable to tell you I knew about it when I didn't. frag grenades was overkill because it's much easier to catch people in the crossfire, I thought it was a last resort and only a single grenade. I didn't even have my underslung loaded. -
[Resolved] Complaint On DasFox

Secondary post; regarding 'executed on the ground'. This isn't true. I was firing a three-round-burst rifle at you while you were running away. You wouldn't have been on the ground until you died, as you were hulked from lack of blood. Furthermore, that's not the entire post. If you're going to include logs, instead of starting where I fired, why don't you start at where I began aiming at you and the posts regarding you? That's not fair to me, or the other people involved where you purposely attempt to maneuver it in your own favor. -

I'd simply like to say, given what we were told going into the situation, this wasn't problematic. While I disagreed with Schev standing there silently to dominate me without any interaction with me holding a gun to him, I moved past it when I got no response. I didn't order an execution, I gave an order to fire on someone who had an all access card after a dominate made its way. They willingly complied with the other trooper, which was fine and all. I was dominated to believe they were innocent at that time. But I'd done my part, I'd let them go and stopped aiming at them. Evandorf detained them and took them. It wasn't my action and I didn't violate it. Regarding the frag grenades, that wasn't my decision. I was going to leave you in crit and focus on the other hostile in the room, AmoryBlaine , but I couldn't do that when you got shrapnel-killed by Evandorf. Which, I didn't have control over that one. My goal wasn't to instantly kill you and I didn't prime that grenade. Furthermore, I was only told you'd escape. I wasn't, at all, told you were back in cuffs or re-detained Scheveningen . I was simply told 'They escaped', So my order to shoot was just that. I presumed with your all-access card you had you were making a break for a firearm of some kind or attempting to hide. If I'd known you were still, at any point during this, detained and back in custody I wouldn't have ordered anything. Also, regarding the RD: Yes. I aimed at them when I walked in on them attacking (Quite literally biting the head of) someone in critical health. They complied, then flashed both me and the engineer. We followed, and I aimed. They then walked towards me after my requests for them to get on the ground, when prompted my first shots. They then proceeded to stand in a corner for about a minute bleeding out, so I ordered the Engineer to cuff them. Where they then continued by trying to run away, still green and not human-looking. (Did I mention they had glowing marks around their head visibly? I was ICly under the assumption they were an experiment. Which means they were property, until I read the ID after their death. They didn't say a word to me at all in this engagement, outside of a single emote telling me they did in fact let go of someone when I didn't notice it.) Regarding my 'array of weaponry', I was only carrying the Bullpup and a few magazines. I had a webbing vest, and no other weapons besides a mounted energy gun. We were told that Security was compromised entirely on our arrival, I didn't order anyone to take anything beyond 'You might want to bring a bullpup. If noone grabs the second one, I'll take it.' Nowhere did I order anyone to bring frag grenades. If Evandorf told you I ordered him to do so, he's not being truthful. He did comment he had a single grenade in his underslung, which I said 'okay' to. Nothing further regarding what he had on him beyond the canon in his suit. -
Have the Chef's Vendor be Fully-Stocked
TheSleepyCatmom replied to Conspiir's topic in Completed Projects
Awaking from the night to have an epiphany of Chef Mechanics. Exactly what Conspiir should be doing with his life. Clearly. +1. I, as a newly relatively happy chef player, hate that frickin' machine with a passion because of this. -
Character Feedback: Michael Lee
TheSleepyCatmom replied to DronzTheWolf's topic in Character and Concept Feedback
Absolute memelord -1. But no, I've had some pretty wholesome, funny, and endearing moments with Dronz and specifically, Michael Lee. Good character IMO, not too crazy, not too sane. Just in the goldilocks zone of interesting. -
I have you the chance to explain yourself and change my mind. That's more than simply stating I have a bias and getting defensive. A month isn't that much time, so in my honest opinion you turning to 'I did long ago' isn't quite entirely truthful. My comment about seeing you once or twice was moreso for your activity on the server, due to that being a requirement you said you checked. As a moderator, especially on a trial, it'd likely be a good idea to be on the server for this time, instead of jimmying your prybar of time between two or three servers. My seeing you RP as an observer hasn't at all improved my thought of you. However, I will note that while close together, those bans /were/ months ago. And unless you're not including the entire log, that's certainly improvement over where it was. A major part of moderation is after something's been done, but prevention is good too. But it's incredibly difficult to do so. If that's your reasoning for becoming a moderator, I request you think about the long-term goal beyond 'I want to prevent people from doing what I did.' While gimmicks are fun and dandy, they're up to the player to decide. Putting yourself into AOOC to give gimmick ideas without the Antagonist requesting it likely won't go over well with other administration staff, or the antagonist. But before I nitpick everything about your post once more, I'm going to leave it with a 'I'm not impressed that you're unwilling to take my criticism seriously.' While I may have prior, negative experiences with you, I don't want to sabotage you. These things are relevant to take into consideration for someone who wants to become a moderator, simply put.
-
-1. I wouldn't at any level stick around with you as a moderator. While you do decently with RP, your conduct in play leaves a lot to be desired. I've seen you do stupid shit in power ICly on Bay, not a month ago. While yes that's a different server and from a while ago, it's hardly been enough time for me to accept your change (if there even has been one.) in this time-frame. This is also your jobbans, which were very very close together from what I can see. Beyond, this you're already active 'staff' on another server. I've seen you once or twice in the past week, today not included. This may be due to my schedule, but it may also be due to you just not being around. I can't entirely or accurately say here. I also don't enjoy your answer to what you think it means to be a moderator. It's much more than just helping new players who hop out of cryo and representing the server. While it's true, and this is part of it, there's a much larger side of things in the administration of a server. Your reasoning for being a Moderator also irks me a little bit, how would you help RP as a moderator? You could do this by simply RPing. Formally stating that administrators are 'admemes' in your application regarding 'what moderators do' makes me a little uncomfortable, because you seem to treat it rather casually, where I believe when you're trying to get power in something you should at least take it a little more seriously. Furthermore, Moderators while not able to take heavy action, are still moderators. Administrators have more power, true, yet a Moderator is still capable of opening and closing many many tickets resolving situations. All in all, I honestly really dislike the things I've seen about you. You're free to reply and prove me wrong here, but with moderation it's quality over quantity. You need more than experience with a playerbase to become one.

Well I assume it'll at least need Diamond, because it'll need a refraction lense which is much more than just glass when it comes to high potency laser weaponry. Anyway, I defo defo love it. It's such a fun idea, not enough ranged weaponry you can feasibly create outside of being an engineer. beyond I assume craftsmanship is how well it's put together. Say, plasteel instead of steel would make it better or something. Or a Diamond (nudge) instead of Glass. Though I don't honestly know.

I still disagree with it. We're also 440 years in the future, y'know? I'm sure there's a change in the standard medical knowledge for people in these fields. Especially in a corporate setting where this corporation basically owns part of space. (Not in a literal sense.) I suppose I understand a little more indepth as to what you meant now, though, so I'm retracting my -1 for the time being. I'll leave it on a neutral note.
-
Sensors already disable when you disable Telecomms. I don't understand what exactly you're requesting here.
-
Also a -1 from me. We really, really don't need more clutter in an already cluttered area of security and/or medical. While a Forensic Technician doesn't absolutely have to know the basics of this field, it's very common for them to if they've experience in their fields. Especially in fields now-days in the server, where even detectives understand how to do coroner reports and autopsies at times. It's very honestly not needed, and we can simply get away with giving an alt-title to the FT at the absolute most if that's at all required. Or, as Arrow said, why not simply give an alt-title to Virologist as Pathologist. Makes sense to me. Doctors apparently know Virology as well anyhow. With the way people RP their medically experienced and Forensically experienced characters, this already overlaps with how people RP. While not everyone, some people yes. Which means it'll step on a lot of toes, more than it'll improve anything to be quite honest.

Remove Emagged Maintenance Drones
TheSleepyCatmom replied to Bygonehero's topic in Completed Projects
A reminder Nymphs may also roll Traitor. So may any actual player role aboard the station, even mice (as far as I was aware.) -
[Dismissed] Maintenance Drones Suck, Heres Why
TheSleepyCatmom replied to Bygonehero's topic in Rejected Policy
I know Security can also do it, as I've had several Security Officers disable both mining and maintenance drones that I was playing due to AI things in certain rounds. -
[Dismissed] Maintenance Drones Suck, Heres Why
TheSleepyCatmom replied to Bygonehero's topic in Rejected Policy
Maintenance Drones cannot think, they're not smart intelligences. They simply do. This was clarified before, and likely is still fresh somewhere on the wiki or forums. A drone walking into an area it doesn't know something terrible is happening in to fix windows is absolutely fine so long as it doesn't interact with people. The moment someone interacts with the drone, it should leave. That is the long and short of it, as their laws prevent them from interacting. But their job is just that, automated maintenance systems. It's to take pressure off of engineering in emergencies and also to just do generalized repair and maintenance of the station or vessel. There's really not an issue with how they are right now, if someone is going against this or you believe a drone is violating it's tiny chipset brain of laws, you can ahelp it and it'll be handled. I've ahelped a few maintenance drones, yknow? Anyone can swipe a maintenance drone to disable it as long as they have security, medical, or engineering access as far as I'm aware. -
Kitchen, Library, Chapel, Hydroponics, and Bar Overhaul.

I think it'd be nice to have something to use the construction level for besides 'OMG ling ate me on level 2' -

they also remapped telescience, which eh. I don't really enjoy that as someone who liked how it looked before. -
Also another in the wallet that spawns in the bar, and if you're command there's three in the command dorms. There's a ton around the place, really.

Add the Icelance to the traitor uplink
TheSleepyCatmom replied to DronzTheWolf's topic in Completed Projects
T'was a good idea. -
Yeah, looking at Xor's little thing there, I'll have to -1 it too. I often play at very lowpops at times too, with one one or two other people on. It's still fun to see what traitors do in the early morning, or if there's a Ninja or Wizard at 4AM. or Malf, sometimes malf gimmicks can be fun too. Honestly I wouldn't like to see this implemented, but I can see the appeal of '10 players is the lowest it goes so for highpop, there's be two lings instead of four' or something.
-
It does require a wield, it is very unwieldy otherwise. If you're one handing an ion rifle you're not likely to hit what you're shooting at.

Metabolism limiting based on chem type
TheSleepyCatmom replied to BurgerBB's topic in Completed Projects
Combining with Tricordrazine makes little sense in your argument anyway, you're making stacked meds not work together. Tricordrazine does all damage types, which means it won't stack with Dermaline OR Kelotane in terms of burn damage healing. Unless, of course, you're ONLY nerfing Keloderm, in which case why? You're only giving more reason to spam the use of cryocells along with medicating. It may just be my failure to understand here, but how in any way would a medication like Tricordrazine stack with Burn Treatment Medications when they both do the same thing, although Tricordrazine is minor? In fact, how would Cryo aid along with burn medications, as they both heal the same damage types, right? I just don't see the point. -
Some of these chemicals are hidden recipes, if I recall. Liquid Light, Liquid Fire, Unstable Black Matter, Universal Solvent, Undead Ichor, and Bottled Lightning are all chemicals. Edit: Or at ONE TIME were Chemicals.
