But I am not very sure if someone who is reapplying(and i'm pretty sure you've reapplied too soon unless time flies super fucking fast) with 7 warnings and quite a few bad calls. How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Somewhere since may 20th-ish of this year. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I wanna play command, duh. I have quite a few ideas that I'd like to actually RP out on the server. I've been mulling over whether to do this application or not since like august. Why did you come to Aurora?: It is a HRP server in name, and despite what others may say, it is also a HRP server in fact. I don't think I can say that about other servers from my extremely limited experience with them. I've only played Aurora since I started, only ocassionally trying out other servers. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? Not really. Two minor notes from a few months ago that I'm aware of, probably not much else though. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is very heavily centered around stories. People play their characters, share the stories of these characters, and upon this base, they also create new ones as they interact. It is about having fun and exploring the themes that we have written into our character's stories. Primarily fun, though. Everyone should have fun here. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: Besides the usual "guiding the direction of the round" crap that people write here, a head of staff is someone who has been entrusted with a whitelist. It is someone who can be relied on to be a helpful, and just a nice person. For me, at least. That, and of course, there have to be some people in charge, so order can be maintained. Not to mention that having a head of staff usually really amplifies the RP experience within a department. Science is usually very boring to me without a research director, because I don't really have someone to report my findings to and get a headpat for it. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: To remain loyal to the rules of the server, and to show a high RP quality standard. It is not something vague like "having an interesting character"or whatever, being a high quality RP-er just means you understand the setting you're given, the stories, and the purpose of you being here. And just not being a lazy bum about RP-ing out your character. I'd just be myself(even though I'm a lazy bum!) and, as I always do, try to improve. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau Ceti and how it affected your character and their career?I will talk about how it affects the CMO I'm going to make, Lizidia Immonen, since she's the only one I feel ready to play rn, but I won't mind expanding if needed when I add more characters here. I suppose Tau Ceti is still recovering from the recent SLF activity, and is still on guard about any more illicit activity done by synthetics. I think it's a good reason for someone to be transferred to Aurora, especially a medical worker-- and even more especially if it comes with a promotion. As someone who comes from the Techno-Conglomerate, she is sympathetic to the synthetics, but is rather conflicted on the matter as a whole. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? Mostly consulars/liaisons. CMO, RD, HOP... frankly, I'll probably try everything, but start off with consulars/liaisons, and CMO. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: Lizidia Immonen, CMO. Pish'Kin Dolv'Qotav, HoP. Gadihrin-Rhemrra Tahurjhul, RD. A bunch of consulars for different factions that I will probably add when I'm less tired. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I dunno, 7/10. I don't like scale ratings. I'm a bit passive and rely on the circumstances and opportunities to create RP, as well as other people to act as initiators. I don't think it'd be a problem in command roles. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Yep. Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? Yus. MLO Back On The Move! Tensions in District 11 Rising! With the spike in popularity the Mendell Labor Organization has received with their stunt in district 14, many people have wondered if that's it for the district 11 based organization. After a long time of no information making it through the district 11 borders rumors have started to emerge a few months ago that the MLO would be making their first push into raising the district to new heights and to many people's surprise, have announced their plan to acquire a shocking amount of 17% of land shares in the district, while also acquiring a 2% of the now burned down industrial ground within New Detroit where they bravely fought the phoron fires and what many people did not expect, buying out 3% of district 15. Investors in the banking district of 13 also called Bullard Avenue have called this sudden move a risky strategy with no noticeable pay off in the near future, as district 11 is currently lacking an effective infrastructure to warrant the sudden acquisition of land while district 14 seemed like a more reasonable choice as property prices have dropped even more with the fires eliminating even more reason for land owners to hold onto these parts. Comments on district 15 had a less uniform tone however, parts of the community calling it an effort of the MLO to turn the situation in the district around while others calling the state lucky to be finally able to get rid of the bought out areas. Analysts predict that prices will start to rise in value as people are now trying to profit off the MLO's spending habits. In other news, crime rates are spiking in district 11, with the police declaring a state of non-intervention as they have stated the area a risk to all sentient life and that people would be entering at their own risk. While the move was heavily criticized by the public this is by far not an uncommon event, as police control over the district has been up for debate for quite a long time and many parties suggesting that budgets should be relocated into other projects in a tactic they've themselves described as "Letting the fire burn up all it's oxygen.". You get the worst rounds as HoS and I feel really bad for you. But you don't lose hope and persevere. While I haven't seen you much, I can still say that I'm in support of your application and would love to see you in command.

Then I don't understand. Are you saying shitters will use cloning for what is essentially immortality so they have an excuse to do LRP things? That's a problem with people's behaviour, then, not the mechanic. A person who bashed their head in with a crowbar while drunk just to avoid arrest is not believable behaviour, and therefore a violation of the rules As other people have pointed out, it's not even that people get cloned during the round that often because noone plays psychiatrist. Not to mention that if your character got cloned, it produces a dilemma of "Are you still you?", which can produce incredibly interesting RP. And people who actually care about RP give their characters some sort of mental trauma after being cloned(which makes a lot of sense if you get told that you got cloned).

Considering a lot of people here have expressed their issue with the representatives being breeders, and after seeing the points that people have made, I'm inclined to agree that this could be a very cool way of going about it. That being said, though, I'd rather not see people's characters get yeeted because of this because the RP with all the vaurca reps is very fun.

Sorry for dissapearing for a while. I have been sick and as such haven't really been looking much at forums. Thank you for your question! Let me preface it: The planets of the Outer Rim are usually harsh, and are largely unexplored. Very few people actually live there, especially permanently. It is often visited by the travelling Techno-Conglomerate/Scarab ships, and the occassional raiders, scavengers and daring adventurers. The large aspect of living in the Outer Rim is roaming, as it is very hard to stay in one place. It is, in essence, the sandbox part of the Frontier Alliance--which I will touch upon later in this post. That being said, though, let's take a look at how someone who has lived most of their life in Outer Rim would go about to moving to Tau Ceti. I will not look into how the TC and Scarab people go about moving to Tau Ceti as it is explained on the wiki, but instead I would show how I see a scavenger abandoning their lifestyle in favour of a far more stable life, in a far more civilized and safer area of space that is Tau Ceti. If they wanted to turn over a new leaf and begin an honest life in Tau Ceti, they would probably first try to find work with the Megacorps(and in this specific case, NT) within the Frontier Alliance territory, and after some time, be transferred to work in Tau Ceti. After having made their way to Tau Ceti, they would most likely find themselves fit in the less savoury spots of Mendell City--such as Jie District, or perhaps the Imperial Plaza. Throughout these experiences, they would most likely have to try their best to not get in trouble with the law, especially after not having to care for such for so long in the lonely place that is the Outer Rim. I'll be honest, I found it really hard to answer your question because I feel I did not express what I wanted to do with the proposed categorization. After having read through the region category section again in a week, I find it quite lacking and I have not expressed my vision well enough--which leads us to It's part of why I wanted to do this categorization of planets and regions of the Frontier Alliance. I do not want to take away the sandbox aspect of the Frontier. However, we can make the Frontier Alliance detailed, while leaving some largely unexplored areas for those who wish to make head-canon planets, cultures, etc. Besides, The Frontier Alliance is one of the biggest places for immigrants to flock to, and we still have all of that Frontier outside the Alliance! Adding details to the Frontier Alliance can limit the open-endedness of it, yes, but through some work it can be largely avoided while making complete sense--which is what I want to do first, as it would let me, and the other devs, work with the Frontier Alliance and involve it more in the events of our great Auroraverse, while not being afraid of stepping on the toes of some people's headcanon.

As much as I love the items and want to see them in-game and actually used because of how much it fits Muhawir, this very same question came to my mind immediately upon seeing this, as well. Edit: went to check PM's, but I'm still not sure if the two-hour naps really explain why you wouldn't use the dorms instead. That being said, I still support this, I'd just like to see you explain this.
