The new sprites are really hard to spot if the light is broken, which makes replacing them near impossible as a janitor. Some of these sprites too, replacing the old ones, don't really fit where the replacement has been made. Where little bulbs used to sit in cupboards, now you have big square ones that just look jarring. I really like the idea of floor lighting though, and would love to keep the new additions that came with the sprites but just change back to our old ones or sprite some of our own for the floor.

Totally would love to see a rooster unathi! Long as you promise to fight guwan! Big +1 from me! Always great to see rooster online and seeing him play an unathi wouldn’t be any different.

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I want to play a Vaurca because you can be so out there with the character and really go off the deep end if you're playing one of the more outrageous broods. It offers such a wide range of personalities and broods that all come with their own quirks and gimmicks. Being able to play a character that I can have a lot of fun with, being more "alien" is definitely going to keep me hooked. I love the lore too! The entirety of the VR which is so ingrained in their culture is going to be exciting for me too, especially when I get to decide what MY character's VR would look like, what they do in there and how it would reflect when I play them. The conflict that can arise from the different broods is great too, because I'm such a lover of conflict. The fact that you can despise another Vaurca just because of their standings and clash with them interests me too. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: You're not JUST getting yourself a new fancy free radio hivemind to mess around with when you play Vaurca but, you're going to have to go into it with an entire new mindset of emotions, sensation and feeling. Where a human might have their own opinions and personalities that shape them when you play, a Vaurca is much more rigid in that sense. You're created to do whatever job you've been told to do, and your purpose is your purpose during your lifetime. The feelings you express don't come through the average "say" command but, now through a network where you must express how you feel through your me's. Not to mention the fact there's an entire section of Vaurca they are specifically grown to be lobotomised and do the most menial of tasks. You won't find that playing a human! What exactly made them tick, when, where, and how to manipulate the construct of will in all species with such ability. Insatiable greed turned passion for work, where pleasure, often anesthetised in other forms, comes from the curing of any patient. Lifetimes of scrutiny played out in the virtual realities of Her Realm, patient after patient alleviated from their mental woes, all unwittingly drawn into Nakoz and their elaborate self-indulgent machinations. Well-being is backseat to the desires of Xetl’s excess and grandiose plans. While Nakoz claims to be a healer of the mind, one to be trusted with the comfort and care you should expect, the methods used often prioritise their own sensations and gratification, as Xetl would have it. The Realm is a playground to seek the newest of experiences and sensations to satisfy; patients become objectives to cure in the grand game, as Nakoz revels in their vulnerability and cures all ills for the personal gain of the hive. Another thing that I wanted to add (along with a +1) is the fact that the message when you donate blood to a diona has been changed from whatever it once was to something along the lines of “what were you just thinking?” and this normally ends up with messages from whoever you’ve sampled blood from like “I want a burger” or “ow that hurts” and nothing more. I think the message should be changed to a more broader message asking for a scope of memories, personality of the person and feelings rather than just “what is your current thought” as it doesn’t really leave much open to character development on the nymphs part.

@RyverStyx Cheers for asking about the religions, because I was torn between Qeblak and Weishii but I decided to go with Weishii because I think it fits his background more, as they're from Aweiji and it's one of the more nature-esque religions, and I feel it makes more sense considering Aweiji is a planet focused on its environment and living off the land. As for other species, I'd say that they're open to others but they haven't had much experience with the ones found outside of Nralakk, so they might need some help from other Skrell in that regard. I was thinking to go in the middle ground for SCS with something around five because of their issues in education but ultimately succeeding. @WhatsUpBrotendo The test in the backstory that I was referring to was the one that gauges their psionic capabilities and where they might land on the Zrose graph. As for their Quya's proficiencies, and since it's on the end of a larger scale Quya, I wanted to have some that were listeners so it emphasised the expectations put on Buu’Mbo.

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I’ve always loved to mess around in game with Skrell and the lore that revolves around them. Whether it be getting into arguments with Skrell as a Human trying to convince them that their government is totally crazy, to jumping into the Srom with my character’s boss in operations. I think it would be a unique opportunity to finally be able to roleplay from the perspective of my own Skrell character with their own story. I’m most excited to experience what it’s like as a Skrell to meet your polar opposite faction and civilisation wise and RP out that conflict. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Right off the bat, I would say that the actual OOC mechanics present differ completely from what you might find as a human. You can work with an in-depth psionic system with multiple psionic abilities, which obviously isn’t something humans have. This would include the actual physical Srom, which you can visit in game, other abilities like psionic pinging and reading minds, etc. Skrell are also all connected on some level, as they're affected by the Nlom, where their emotions and feelings are broadcasted to any Skrell in range; affecting their behaviour and outlook. Expressing yourself outside of these means would be more difficult than that of a human too, because on a physical level Skrell do not emotionally communicate in the same way a human might. They don’t rely on facial features to convey their emotions but prefer a combination of headtail movements and psionics to express their emotions. Character Name: Buu’Mbo Bunq Please provide a short backstory for this character: Buu'Mbo arrived into the Spur during that of a particularly cold Lu-Paalq and was born surrounded by their large, loving Quya of seven secondaries of similar ranking, who all had the highest hopes of Buu'Mbo joining their continued legacy of pro-federation accomplished researchers. Residing in the sticky tropical weather of Aweiji, it was only right for Buu'Mbo to continue as their Quya intended and make further advancements into sustainable farming around the wider space of Nralakk. Throughout their younger life, Buu'Mbo would always be that of an outspoken individual with questionable psionic proficiency, but their Quya would revel in this. To be so lively and boisterous at such a young age was surely a sign of good tidings to come! However, Buu'Mbo was already faced with a difficult decision when it came to deciding what they actually wanted to achieve in life. Expecting to score high on the tests given to that of young tadpole it was a surprise when the results were, dull to say the least. Nothing but a Receiver when most of their commune was the opposite. Struggling with what their Quya had expected of them from the very start, and as a result of Buu'Mbo’s indecisiveness and questionable score in their allotted lessons and capability tests, they arranged for Buu'Mbo to be taken to a prestigious research institute in Tresja. But to the dismay of their Quya, Buu'Mbo had a different set of aspirations to follow. They almost immediately began to fall behind in their teachings and would eventually (and severely) languish the opportunity. It wasn’t as if Buu'Mbo wasn’t eager! They were a dedicated student and excited to learn about the many differing fields of science! They couldn’t wait to be immersed in what fertiliser was being researched aboard what vessel or how the Nralakk Federation was revolutionising food around the Spur! Unfortunately for Buu'Mbo (and their several tutors,) it became more and more obvious they were struggling. What they were learning wasn’t practical anyways! Where were the explanations for what machinery went where and how this and that was put together? All it seemed that Buu'Mbo would ever hear about was of "pre-determined approximates dyn mulch" and other nonsense. Not to mention, the more they failed, the more their score would suffer! It was a losing battle, and Buu’Mbo knew it. God forbid they cheated on their papers. Their Quya would KILL them back home! Everyone that they knew around them had envisioned Buu'Mbo following in their predecessors’ footsteps and advancing up the ranks in the field of science, only for their efforts to be squandered by a lack of determination. Their Quya would constantly lecture them from their hometown on how they were wasting the very potential that had led the seven of them to be successful! How could Buu'Mbo NOT live up to their expectations? It was time for a change. Their true passion, hidden behind that of their sustainable farming courses, was that of the machinery that MAKES the sustainable farming work in the first place. Engines, cogs, and wrenches! This was the calling that Buu'Mbo knew they were lotted for—engineering. It was then that Buu'Mbo made the decision to switch their focus in life. They felt deep inside themselves that this field would allow him to apply his problem-solving skills in a more tangible way and allow him to create things that could help others in a REAL way. Even with their seven caretakers and those around them voicing their adamant distaste for the decision, Buu'Mbo remained determined to see it through. As Buu'Mbo progressed through their new classes at the less-so popular, less-so prestigious university, they knew this was the right decision to make. Joy was found in turning cogs into their right places and holding the spring that drives the rod into the machine designed to make life easier for other skrell. Buu'Mbo knew that their lot was to find some far-distant off place where they could extend the reach of Nralakk’s skills to other machinery, across the Spur! They had spent a significant amount of time preparing to submit their work application. They submitted one every which way they could! Portfolios were compiled, their now new degree and expertise in various areas of engineering were highlighted, and they gathered as many recommendations as they could. Ultimately? It paid off and they were finally granted a work visa for the SCCV Horizon! This allowed them to pursue their passion for engineering off-world and expand their skills and knowledge in the field. Now reaching sixty, and with the begrudging acceptance and a growing fondness for Buu'Mbo’s newfound confidence, their Quya reluctantly relented and began to see the value in their work and even expressed small pride in Buu'Mbo’s achievements. In the end, Buu'Mbo knew that the choice they had made was the right one, and they hoped that their story would inspire others to pursue their passions despite expectations. Although their relationship with his Quya had become slightly strained, Buu'Mbo was proud of the work they had accomplished and the career they had chosen. What do you like about this character?: Besides being super excited to get into engineering finally and get to play a skrell, I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with their personality. I'm thinking of going pro-federation but, also RP out some of the points of having a middle-to-low score? A lot of the supporters normally tend to be really uptight or incredibly rich and I want to try remedy that with a more boisterous Skrell from a more rural background that still supports their home. (I'll make it realistic I promise!) How would you rate your role-playing ability?: Decent enough! I'm sure if you get to RP with me in game you're not going to be like "bloody hell it's this bastard again" but feel free to drop a comment if you ever do feel like that. I'd say an eight. Take it as a complaint to complaint basis! If someone writes ten thousand words, complaining about an antag? Probably too much.

I think the suggestion is a good idea after having to read book lengths of complaints but maybe shouldn't be a rule set in stone so when stuff like this happens we can be more flexible. More just a recommendation of word length?

The entire staff complaint from top to bottom is screenshots of my character and implications that my character harasses multiple people (along with a few other strange accusations.) You wrote it to contest a strike and then filled the complaint with unnecessary and unrelated screenshots and it all just comes off as very targeted when it didn't need to be. You both talk about how you wanted to handle this ICly and it was when you were both given a temporary IC RP ban, until you messaged the admin and flooded them with logs and accusations of harassment. There were other people in the relay that were RPing that took it as sexual harassment, don't you think you should of maybe clarified? Not only that but, you wrote that I SPECIFICALLY target woman which kind of goes hand in hand with that type of behaviour. I appreciate that you've edited what you wrote but, it comes off to me (intentionally or not) like you purposely wrote it how you did to imply that I make homophobic jokes which are more often than not, against the rules OOCly. This is the main gripe that I have with you Dekser and what's annoyed me the most, that you didn't think to not post something as damning like that on the public forums and then bowl it down to a "grammar mistake" on your part. Couple that with the cropped screenshots you've included that are without context, where my character has said "I don't like woman" in reference to their preferences and the "girlfriend" comment where few people but you and Birdie took it as harassment to a woman. The funniest one being where he said "an IPC and a Dominian boning" and the part where an IC book literally about an IPC and a Dominian having an intimate relationship was posted has been cropped out. I also reached out to the players that are mentioned in the staff complaint as well and not one of them has taken offence, or felt harassed by me or my character.

BYOND Key: goolies Player Byond Key: lordpwner & dekser Staff Involved: WickedCybs (Sophie & ReadThisNamePlz told to post and handling other complaint) Reason for complaint: I'm writing this based on the behaviour of both @LordPwner and @DekserBecauseILostMyAccoun leading up to this previous complaint posted here at the bottom of this thread. I really don't appreciate the way they've both gone about insinuating their various accusations against me, and I think there's some OOC thoughts or malice behind it rather than them posting it to bring light to any rules being broken. The screenshots they've posted haven't been shown to staff once and were for some reason, all piled in at once on discord to an admin when they were both being struck for bringing up sexual harassment ICly. Most of the images that have been posted are just random arguments I've had with the character and if anything, should be handled in an IC sense in the relay or not even handled at all. They don't show any evidence of harassment, sexual harassment, homophobic jokes, being a "meme" character or favouritism from Cybs like what they've accused me of. I take issue with the fact that these screenshots have been silently collected without one word to staff, a report, or even either of them coming to talk to me directly and I think that they were posted out of spite or malice. A lot of the screenshots are also taken out of context in the thread and twisted in a way to support their accusation of harassment when there is none.

Going to say straight off the bat that some of these screenshots you've both posted are going back weeks or months, and in that time, neither of you have come to me to address the issues you have with my character. In those weeks and months, you've also continued to RP with my character with no issue in game and on the relay. I feel like it's a little disingenuous for you to collect all these relay screenshots that only show parts of conversations (without ahelping once in the past) and then drop them in a discord log where you're the one in trouble. The screenshots don't negate the fact that you both were the ones who brought the topic of sexual harassment into an IC situation. I also went ahead and messaged some of the people in the screenshots that are apparently uncomfortable with what I've said, and they're all totally fine with what was RPed. The only feedback I've ever gotten is that sometimes I can be a little too intense when it comes to RPing an antagonistic character.

We have a TTS option on the PDA that I use for characters that can’t speak TCB that well. It would honestly be better to just include sign language as one of the translatable languages on it. Gloves would be cool if they weren’t JUST gloves and had some custom flavour to them. The PDA option is easier to implement though and wouldn’t take up a loadout slot. Why not both?
