  1. Not been hugely impressed tbh. Lots of valid-hunty behaviour, as well as doing things that exclude others from antag play. Forcing people away from non-violent antags or the like, use of force far more than is required, ect. Things like pepperspraying handcuffed prisoners is just...off. Sorry, I personally think you need more time here before applying for command. HoS especially. ?
  2. Strong dislike. It's a video game. People should be able to just come on and hang out with their friends as a non-critical role just because they feel like it.
  3. Ehhh...if you have a gun or overly strong melee weapon, getting grabbed feels like it's more on you than them.
  4. I'd change it from energy weapons and flash pistols to - the name escapes me - extended baton thingy the HoS/Captain gets.
  5. Something of a shaky start (sorry!), but doing a lot better now. Echoing Bear's thoughts from above on the round in question. If they can manage that, they can handle anything. Even if IPC man stinky. +1
  6. No comment on lore stuff, but decent roleplayer and not seen any real issues. But I'm curious that you mentioned playing command roles down the line, as well as consulars. Will you be playing them on your trial? And if not, how will you get feedback from something new and rather distinct from consular without an app?
  7. They're not in the logs because you cut them off with your screenshots. The before/after parts aren't there, only the during. Likewise, the general anaesthetic tanks are a pain in the ass to use and arguably more dangerous from an RP standpoint. You know they also entirely knock the patient out, right?
  8. I play Nina. You posted this during the round, which is pretty much like..against the rules and stuff. I'm also not sure what part of this you have an issue with? Are you citing me for self-antagging, poor RP, what? As as far as I can see, this is all an IC issue escalated by yourself. So, we have: 1) You ran through a wormhole portal for some unknown reason, and ended up messing yourself up. 2) Carlos fixed you up, I was asked to do the surgery. We even had the conversation of who was going to do it right in front of you.. whilst Carlos said Nina was going to give you the surgery!!! Likewise, at no point did you say during the conversation with Summer - who is playing a learning role - did you say you didn't want them there. Nothing stopped you from doing so. 3) You asked for general anaesthetic...which is literally what you were given. Did you mean local anaesthetic? If so, your options are either being cut open whilst awake with a highly addictive med, being in pain during the entire thing with a rather poor med, or having the nightmare that is sopof and being in/out of sleep for the next ten minutes. None of these options are good, and they'd have been refused if that's what you'd actually asked for. 4) I didn't see you scream 'Hey' until after, at which point I was explaining to the intern's player how to work the bed. 5) You then attacked Nina - a rather slender woman - who asked for help via her fuck-off huge Unathi friend. 6) Said unathi comes in and tries to talk to you, you were rude and non-compliant. A fight breaks out, you were knocked down and security called. Said people crowding around were there as Nina had yelled into the radio that she was under attack. 7) You ran out into medical, still fighting people and causing a general ruckus, until you were disarm spammed and knocked down. 8 ) Security shows up and puts you in cuffs, after multiple witnesses have already seen the fight with Ulmari and the general mess going down in the OR room. You also said an admin dealt with it? I'm even more unsure what the issue is. That and you've cut off decent segments of the ongoing scene which is a little questionable, plus I'd like to point out that it was you who escalated each incident.
  9. The characters themselves are lovely, I'd just work more on the communications side of command when taking Captain or the like. It's not fun to have total radio silence for the majority of the round, especially not on hectic ones like merc/borer. Aside from that, all seems finez.
  10. Whilst it doesn't account for all of it, shrapnel is - in my opinion - contributing to the problem. We're back to it being a death sentence as a hostile antag, as shrapnel in the chest/head will now eventually kill you unless you get it removed; which is, of course, fairly unlikely. So there's more justification in killing security/the ERT as they've effectively resigned you to die anyway, which is something we keep seeing with ninja. A fight happens, the ninja gets tagged but doesn't go down - usually in part due to the med modules - wipes security as their time to kill is very fast, then dies a little while later from their injuries. Melee is just too good compared to all guns, as the moment you close the distance the fight is over. I got tagged *once* during the Tajara event round with a saw and was instantly downed and knocked-out, whilst I've had times of blasting people with a full laser clip only for them to dash off with barely a care in the world. Shit is whack, y'all.
  11. Chaos is fun every now and then. This pattern of removing the more explosive (heh) toys of each antag is getting kind of lame. Especially when atmos is a joke with brainmed and weird explosive physics means you can outrun it.
  12. The reason ghost spam has been more of a thing recently is due to the stun rune getting gutted. Now converting people is extremely hard, so people revert to apparitions. Further nerfs to cult just continues to bury the gamemode when we already have a fairly limited selection.
  13. Sounds like a lot of these issues are fixed via expanding the ERT lore and allowing more character freedom. Likewise we have enough ERT groups that we don't see NT that much any more, and they're not that much ahead of the other groups - they just have more choice. All this does is effectively remove a fun to play group.
  14. Had worries and all, but they're doing much better now as expected. +1
  15. Read's RP ability is pretty darn sweet, based off of the characters I've interacted with - Erica, Janus, Amelia. I'm sure she'd be fine with a whitelist. I'm also not entirely sure if it matters how often she plays Dreams, provided the whitelist is accepted? As far as I know, that's not a requirement of a whitelist. +1
  16. All is good. No issues. I'd say expand on the character more, but that's likely something that'll come with time. Enjoying having them as CMO thus far. +1
  17. They're always cheerful and helpful in AOOC. I've seen them explaining lore/mechanics to numerous new antag players, and it'd be nice to have a moderator who regularly plays that side of things. +1!
  18. It's really not that hard to pick up and learn what the medications do, especially when most of them are niche and aren't standard use. Likewise, I'm not sure how renaming multiple meds is helpful as opposed to confusing when they're all well-established. There's a skill involved in knowing what does what and part of what makes up the medical role. Not a fan.
  19. Watched a vampire round, and it was honestly pretty darn shaky from where I was standing. Not gonna -1 as it's early days and I'm sure you'll improve, but things I saw: - Allowing Vampire A to feed and choke someone whilst asking 'what are you doing' without stepping in until the last minute. - Attempting to arrest multiple people standing outside of science (with the incident happening inside) whilst chatting to peaceful vampire B for 'obstruction'. Cutting people out of antag RP as sec is really, really bad, and doubly so when they're not getting in the way. - Constantly validing Vampire B and attempting to arrest her despite the fact that everyone she drank from was consenting - at least until she was backed into a corner. - Refusing to meet fairly simple vamp demands - of a monkey- under the threat of her venting the dock if she didn't get it. That she didn't do so was a surprise, and honestly y'all got lucky her player wasn't more willing to play rough. I think you need to give peaceful antags more leeway, as she didn't really break any regulations up until the point sec was breathing down her throat. Especially as it seemed like a fairly enjoyable round for the people she was RPing with, up until that point. As we spoke about over discord, this is all entirely my opinion as an outside observer and I'm not saying I'm objectively correct in my thoughts. So feel free to take/discard it all with a grain of salt; I wasn't in the round, so can't comment on what information you were acting on from your staff. It's easy to get swayed when you can see the whole picture, but putting said puzzle pieces together and coming to a decision is part of what makes a good HoS good. Likewise this was all from one round, so perhaps it was all just a single incident. Best of luck ^^.
  20. I've enjoyed their command character Leon (Captain) a lot in previous rounds. They're fun and very 'shade of grey, evil mega corp' which is pretty darn different from the usual norm. Big plus one!
  21. I've played a lot of both medical and security. My feedback is: - Organ damage, especially liver damage, is far too punishing. It goes from fairly low damage to OH GOD ITS NECROTIC almost instantly. - Blood loss is also too punishing, especially with arterial replacing IB. Especially with the whole feint spell thing almost instantly. - Medical is harder so people die more readily now even after they're back at 'base'. Especially if there's no chemist. - Being constantly knocked out from pain whilst in crit and flicking in/out of conscience is lame and frustrating. But on the other side of things: - Atmos is basically a joke now. - Ballistics are almost useless unless you get a lucky/unlucky arterial hit. - People take forever to go down once adrenaline hits. Which oddly enough, makes it more lethal as now you just have to keep blasting to get someone to stay down - at which point they're likely fucked - rather than before where you had the option to soft-crit someone if you'd prefer.
  22. Mining itself just isn't that interesting of a role. And that's fine. In the same vein that people are saying there are plenty of other options, the existence of KAs being a thing doesn't prevent that. If people want to use them and delve deeper (heh) into the more mechanical side, that's fine. But people who aren't as interested in doing so shouldn't have their own preference changed.
  23. - I don't like the idea of removing weapons from cargo, namely as sec then gets royally fucked when ninjas/mercs empty the armory, which is honestly laughably easy to do. If at that point there's no option to order weapons, there's really nothing you can do for the rest of the round and will bring back the checklist meta of 'captain's office, voidsuits, armory' that has thankfully been less of a thing recently. Right now it's a pain, but it doesn't entirely end the round. - Along with the above, locking weapons behind impossible to break crates really just doesn't seem that realistic. I'm not entirely sure what could be done here though. At the very least, emitters should still work. - As I touched on earlier, I don't think KAs should be changed at all. I can't recall the last time I saw them being used as a weapon in atmos and you tend to get them an hour or so in anyway. The base ones (and the ones in the mining machine) suck, whilst it's so darn satisfying to back out onto the rock fully suited up for 10k+ points a trip. - Extra time gating for QM seems sensible. It shouldn't be whitelisted given the difference in responsibilities being huge and, imo at least, QM is likely to give bad habits if people are using it to springboard into command. Another option would be to perhaps move it away from having any form of command capabilities at all, and instead just a co-ordination role between mining and the techs.
  24. Raiders not spawning with bags is one of the reasons I have the pref turned off tbh.
  25. I don't agree with a lot of it, (especially the removal of KAs, please don't suck all the fun out of mining) but I am 100% on the same page with the QM role. It really feels like what people go to if they don't have a whitelist and want to cause trouble. Cargo arming themselves if there's a legit threat is fine by me, but some of the QMs really take this to new levels to be shitters. Which is a shame, as two very good ones come to mind too (Nat and Mackenzie). Sick of dealing with 'oh, the QM is ordering guns' every time certain other ones are in control.
