  1. It'd be neat if the mandible garment (or another mask entirely) functioned like a divers' rebreather.
  2. Two small corrections. You can't randomize names on spawn, names are locked. Two, you can get insulated gloves from the tool vendor if you have a coin.
  3. You're posting on a thread about a dead PR.
  4. I'm in agreement, I think it would spur better interaction, especially if you have someone in your department go out and bring word to Engineering and such. It'd give department front desks an actual purpose in receiving people. But, what to do with intercoms?
  5. For what purpose do you want to become a coder? What is the advantage being a coder brings you that being a contributor is lacking?
  6. I would also like to suggest one of the Legion posters.
  7. Sec already has 6.2 ( .5 for prescription sechud you can make by pressing the scouter onto some prescription glasses, and another .5 for the tactical goggles, .1 for the 3 different varieties of sunglasses they have, and another .1 for the Aut'akh sec hud.) types of eyewear. Two of them do exactly the same thing even thematically and aesthetically, and one of them is a very outdated sprite that literally uses pitch black.
  8. I would like to point out that player feedback was already collected the first time we did this, in an ingame poll with many, many responses.
  9. The purpose is to both avoid. 'don't worry man i can get cloned at the odin if i die. i have a backup at the odin. death is meaningless to me!!' as well as 'we have a hostage!' 'yeah we bet you do go ahead and kill them we can clone them at the odin!'
  10. Hello, Pair of Dogs here. While I'm not really concerned about the lack of feedback (it's a niche species), and while the rest of your application is of a good shine, the fact that you made a Bound makes it complicated to gauge how well you are at crafting a Vaurca character. I will have you reply to this post with a quick (it doesn't have to be any greater than 2 paragraphs) example Unbound, you don't need to answer what you like about them if you don't see it fit, though it would be preferable.
  11. Something I am late about, but have noticed, is that you completely skipped over 'what is happening in Tau Ceti lately and how has it affected your character', and it makes me uncertain that you have a good grasp of lore.
  12. Disagree with the suggestion. It'd take away from Offworlders. It's kind of like asking for a cosmetic wheelchair in the loadout.
  13. I would wholeheartedly -1 this application. Well, I will, not would. MiniuOS is generally an extremely juvenile cyborg. I have, many times, seen them shouting screaming and cursing at crew, or snarking at them. Your other character, also somewhy named Minius, is not much better. I have witnessed them trying to fuck with active shooters before as well. I have no proof for these statements, but they are things I have witnessed, and things that turn me off from you having a whitelist. The quantity of your interactions is not what we're asking for. It's quality.
  14. I'd like to second VT. I'd also prefer the consistency of 'IPCs can speak Sol Common' than some arbitrary identity.
  15. In our review, we have found that while Kaed's attitude (on the forums, atleast) is subpar, he has not done anything worthy of severe administrative punishment. We will be giving Kaed a shot at improving his etiquette, and users are encouraged to report any further breaches of conduct from him.
  16. Contractor uniforms were merged today, and they are now available to play. This allows you to play your character as an external contractor subcontracted out to NanoTrasen, to fulfill various roles onboard the station. As a contractor you'll be working on the station as a temporarily hired worker belonging to another corporation that isn't NanoTrasen. You still fall under the corporate regulations in the same way any other standard employee would, however there are some basic roleplay expectations you'll be expected to follow based on your employer. You'll be expected to do your job with some sneaky acts on the side. This isn't a licence to self antag however, purely to drive a story. Loading up the research information from the R&D console onto disks to smuggle off station is fine; poisoning the captain's birthday cake, not so much. Use your common sense and if in doubt, ahelp before you carry out your action. Contractors are unable to be Heads of Staff. Any job is available to a contractor so long as the concept makes sense. An Idris "Battle Chef" sounds hilarious but isn't an acceptable character concept. If you are concerned that a concept might be inappropriate please do speak with a member of server staff via ahelps in game, the forums or discord. Contracted employees on board NanoTrasen vessels are fully subject to the established NanoTrasen chain of command, station directives, notices and regulations. They are to clearly state the fact they are contracted as well as their parent company, in their security and employment records. Contractors are to wear their company uniforms in all fields in order to be distinguishable, and are not to hold any internship positions. 17. While I have nothing concrete to pull from in my history of interactions with Jackboot, (I, subjectively, find his communication skills wanting. Sometimes he will drop a very important sentence, disconnect for 30 minutes, and you're left wondering 'what did he mean by this.' Sometimes he makes weird decisions or statements like prior and either doesn't explain them, or fails to phrase them in a manner that doesn't require further explanation.) I am very disappointed in how Nursie was handled, fired within a day for a rule that none of us knew existed, wasn't written down prior, and we still aren't aware exactly of the maximum capacity for each staff team. I may not want the 'only two deputies and that's final', but I do understand it. However, I am 100% against it being retroactive. I have personally witnessed Nursie contributing wonderfully to the Skrell lore, and she was very passionate about the species since Loow. The communication recently has been shit. As well, I believe that the current system we work under has a severe lack of checks and balances. The amount of control we have for a loremaster or even a loredev is nil. I would like the ability to form a VONC (Vote of No Confidence) if required. If our trust in a loremaster or loredev has collectively expired, we have hardly any means to do anything about it.
  18. I cannot agree enough. Also, a bit of history. the Inviolate literally only existed on Bay because Vox used to be unwhitelisted and they used to be the only race available for Heist gameplay, so it was a boilerplate method of making Vox not murderbone and be generally awful. It would not be required in any way shape or form if we just whitelisted them. We don't even need to have station Vox or anything, just some actual quality ones.
  19. Yes indeed, if you're captured/killed you're gonezo. (I guess for above like, yellow level crimes?) I suppose it'd be valid to limit canon antags to stuff that isn't blowing things up. Killing is probably fine (and would be highly interesting. Assassinate me pls.).
  20. I'd like to link to this specific comment as to how it could work again. It would require a lot of commitment.
  21. So this idea isn't mine (because my brain is like a block of Swiss), it comes from Apollo. But anyway, You have the ability to designate a slot as a persistent traitor. (Maybe require admin vetting.) The specifics of how telecrystals would work can be discussed. Essentially, you will be a traitor (hidden from the post-round traitor listings, of course). People can remember their interactions with you (the clever traitor not drawing a lot of heat and making a lot of enemies). You last until you are A) handcuffed and brought to the Odin or B) killed I guess Then your slot is forfeit I think this would create a lot of interesting interactions and cool flavor, as well as maybe solving an issue some have with the fact that traitors cannot actually be incorporated into things that happen with your character. (Also, again, specifics can be worked out.)
  22. addition: i'm in UTC -6:00 it seems. MST? i have no idea how your european time shit works. from about 10 am to 12 am.
