  1. This suits me, very good young ones.
  2. This is for people who hit "random"/the initial character setup before you change anything. This does not stop people making their own character. It's obviously a good idea and already have exists as it stands.
  3. It used to be a thing but is based on an old concept so not used anymore. RIP sec level 2.
  4. How about giving them the capacity to regurgitate a resinous substance at the expense of nutrition which can be used to build various tools and as a building material. They could make resin walls etc.
  5. People with extreme allergies to say nuts have this issue irl and still find a way to not eat products with nuts in them or which have been prepared around nuts. They buy things from vending machines which sit next to products which contain nuts or nut based compounds. All this with no extra warnings other then a small print on the back of a chocolate bar saying "warning may contain nuts". Stop eating poisonous kois. Edit: Wait isn't meat products poisonous to skrell? They seem to manage fine with not eating meat products.
  6. The concept is solid in my opinion. Getting hung up on sprites is silly at this stage because jackboot with his subtle anthropomorphic mole man fetish won't be spriting them anyway. I agree with the concept.
  7. I like this as long as they're not literally mole people and are instead freakish creatures that resemble a cross between a neomorph and the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth.
  8. What coalf said. Are these not for in game character issues i.e my character not liking a thing another character is doing? Hell, have we not had IRs where some one essentially lied in character to get at another character?
  9. For clarity, when I say "use /me" i don't mean like this: /me purrs, "I'll emote you in a minute." I mean this: /me orates say, "I'll emote you in a minute."
  10. First thing to understand is that all these places have multiple nation states stretched over multiple planets/places across multiple star systems so there is no 100% "this is how you speak" system. That being said, generally, there is a certain manner of speech for each - there "general accent" if you like. Solarians speak with a lilting accent, this can be show in game by liberally sprinkling italics into your characters sentences: Something along these lines would be good. Tau Ceti has no change. Understand that the characters all speak Tau Ceti Basic as a base language and as such, it remains unchanged when spoken by Bieselittes. Frontier doesn't really have a set type as it is extremely cosmopolitan, however being curt and brief is good. A grunt instead of a yes- Rando: "Hey buddy." Frontier boi: "Mm, got any beer?" Rando:"Got some space beer if you want?" Frontier boi: "Mhm." Elyrans tend to have extremely nice voices to listen to, very clear and elegant. Use /me to "orates, purrs, hums, chimes," when speaking. Dominians speak very harshly and sternly generally. This can be shown by making the first word of the sentence bold for emphasis and further making any key words bald: "I am fine, how can I help you." You can also /me "utters,". Again, these are general. You can have a rough and tough Elyrans or a purring Dominian femme fatale if you so wish. There was actually going to be a project to make it so the whole "Bob says," changes with your home system but this turned out to be largely unworkable.
  11. Expand on the correlation between dragging yourself under the table and the ability to flip said table. My brain refuses to see it OP said it'd be cool to hide under tables as a school shooter flips them looking for you. Pacman just pointed out that you can't flip a table larger then one tile in width, like the table in the kitchen ergo you can hide under it but it can't be flipped to check if you're under it.
  12. I echo arrows concerns bar the "no interest in dealing with" since I actual like ya. What's changed? Admittedly I do think this (CCIA) would be a better fit for you and probably won't stress you out as much since it's hands on RP wise but not drama wise (at least in comparison with other staff roles). Your track record seems to be - join a thing, have a good work ethic but be abrasive, causes complaints but be in the right 9 times out of 10 but come across as abrasive, something happens and you seem to go atomic then quit/get fired.
  13. I like the app because it's short and sweet whilst demonstrating a working understanding of Unathi lore. You've also honestly stated that whilst you're not 110% on said lore you'll be using this character as a vessel for further understanding which is great. Just for clarity though - this character is one of those new fangled orphan Guwan that paid the orphanage for a general clan name right? He has a debt to the orphanage which he's trying to work of because of this hence why he's having to sign up to NT?
  14. You mention that you like living dolls and that you're gay twice in quick succession. This isn't a fetish thing is it? The lads/ladettes and I are concerned.
  15. I thought this done ages ago? Obviously remove it since it's essentially an observer role.
  16. So wearing bullet proof vests makes sense because they're first responders who canonically barely deal with any crimes is fine but not helmets, that's meta? Realistically they wouldn't wear body armor, it makes no sense because canonically they are rarely used. Normal security doesn't do this, even armed security doesn't necessarily wear it IRL. HOWEVER from a gameplay point of view I say they should because it looks good, gives security a definitive "look" and balance wise they'd get auto killed by any other antag as we have very robust players and sec armor is at times the only edge the officer has as it can't be disarmed.
  17. Actual corporate security on research stations or any other place of work don't wear stab proof/bullet proof vests. Expecting trouble like that witnessed in antag rounds is meta. On the other hand it's a game and scientists and doctors walk around in lab coats 24/7 in game which isn't realistic so who cares. I'd say let them wear them whenever.
  18. This would only work via mechanical enforcement. Roleplay rules/standards won't work as it's far too vague and easily overcome with too many variables. Having a system like the one delta mentioned might work - an unknown voice which becomes permanently known after you examine the person which then persists across rounds. You'd have to give players the option to flavor text their own voices though or something similar so this could be displayed on the chat, perhaps as a hyperlink that says "voice says" which you can click on for the text but this is extremely clunky and would cause problems with blank texts.
  19. For clarify, this is what is currently happening, please PM me in some manner so we can have a chat.
  20. I'd rather it's in Tau Ceti and since you're ok with that that then so shall it be done. Having it in Tau Ceti means it would be immediately involved in the setting, it's better this way trust me.
  21. Free Assembly Move In as ATLAS Forced Out Monday, February 12, 2460 Free Assembly to set up new Tau Ceti base of operations in former Synthetic Intelligence Movement HQ. ATLAS Biesel base of operations forced into orbit amidst threats to personnel. The Free Assembly, known for their push for equal rights in Biesel has joined forces with the Synthetic Intelligence Movement and set up a joint venture in Mendell City as the 'Equal Rights Union' headed by Dr. Alexander O'Caughney, Executive Director of SIM. Dr. O'Caughney told press that "[today] is a momentous occasion for SIM and the Free Assembly. Together we are committed to ensure our goal of equal rights for synthetics and of all species is achieved." The ATLAS presence in Tau Ceti has taken a blow in recent months due to the Mars crisis and following firebomb attacks on their base of operations in Mendell City the Technosyndicalists of ATLAS have moved their regional HQ into high orbit around Biesel. Now based on the PMV Diomedes, a civilian class Liner locked in geosynchronous orbit over the planet, the group intends to continue its mission of charity work and captial investment to budding small businesses across Tau Ceti. An ATLAS spokeswoman told the Bugle that "[ATLAS] have chosen to re-locate to orbit to ensure the safety of our members but we are always available to offer aid to any who wish it and our business operations and charity events will all go ahead as scheduled."
  22. Howdy partners, I'll be editing the history of Dominia real soon to make it more palatable but I'd rather hear the thoughts and suggestions of those playing or have an interest in the faction and not drive by meme-machines that don't play it now and won't play it in the future. If you play a Dominian character on the regular or have an interest/stake in the faction then drop me a PM on the forums or via discord (Zundy#5445) OR direct message me on byond (zundy). We'll have a nice little chat about the direction of Dominia and obviously have a little ERP.
  23. Abo and I discussed this at length and has listed all serious grievances with the app so I am content. Also everyone roll up Eridani characters and receive a free Human Whitelist - the perfect gift this Valentine's Day - offer ends Friday.
  24. I mean yeah it would mean you'd have conflict with that faction. What's "more" for you? What factions would you like to see bearing in mind the rule of three overall.
  25. I've changed the group two factions to research driven, profit driver and people driven to reflect you peoples feedback, thoughts on this?
