  1. Bygones a good roleplayer overall so I have no concerns or comments regarding that. Lore wise it's sound. It doesn't outright state that X is X or Y is Y but captures the Dominia lore in a believable way. What is Two of Three doing in Biesel? How did they get to Biesel? What jobs would they be doing on the Aurora? How did they get assigned to the Aurora?
  2. It's short and sweet which I like. As per the Elyra military page I won't be taking it all as written but will use a large portion of this. I may trim down on the L A T I N somewhat since, though the rome memes are strong with dominia, it isn't rome and they do not speak latin. Overall, good job.
  3. As per the Dominia military page I won't be taking it all as written but will use a large portion of this. Do you feel like a bad enough dude to draw up a hierarchy chart regarding their military set up?
  4. What plans do you have re management of the team? Have you managed a team before?
  5. I have seen the light with the above. It's a -1 from me at this point.
  6. I'm for this because roleplay. I'm operating under the assumption that: -Injured folks will RP with medical staff and visa versa. -It will potentially encourage players to think about getting injured before running into a gun fight, uncharged baton in hand. -Antags would get better healing items due to their role in the rounds story (they shouldn't die like little bitches). Is this not going to be the case if this idea was implemented? I guess if you absolutely don't want to wait then by all means ghost and respawn though that sounds very light roleplay to me. Might it be worth implementing for a week or so as a test run in the same way we test ran the delayed chem reactions?
  7. Smilys alright and lore wise this is fine. It's obvious but small and tidy, perfect for a set piece for RP springboarding.
  8. Hey guys. New year soon so get hype. I've cut down on my drinking so I won't be getting super silly this year. Send my your prayers through the Tribunal. The Elyra arc continues. We, the lore team, solemnly swear to keep up to date this coming year and not let arcs drag and to be real good bois. Pinky promise. Sub races added to Elyra and Dominia with more to come. I hope that flavor is too your liking, I will be going into more detail so don't worry about their sparseness. Understand that you can still be just an immigrant to those areas, this is just for that added spice. We've finally got Bishop Cybernetics added to the wiki for all you Bishop fan girls. In the new year I'm going to be pumping out more news articles and hopefully getting some events together in game so watch this space. As always, if you have any ideas or human/corp lore woes let me know via forum PM or discord.

  10. 29.12.2459 Conflict In Stalemate As NanoTrasen Wins Contract Bid With New Cairo still under full biological quarantine and the Lii'dra advance halted to a stalemate, NanoTrasen wins the corporate bid to provide emergency materials and assistance to the Republic. The "Republic Emergency Resource Contract" went on an emergency bid earlier this week, with NanoTrasen winning by a wide margin. The contract marks NanoTrasen as the prime contractor in supplying emergency aid, materials and human resource to the Republic. The losing bids included Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals and Necropolis Industries as well as rumors of an offer of assistance from the Empire of Dominia. At a press conference Prime Minister Rasheed Tatenda assured citizens that "this was absolutely necessary given the circumstances" and that "Phoron reserves were not a factor in these negations." When pressed regarding the rumors of Dominian assistance the Prime Minister told press "absolutely not." Sajjad Toma, leader of the opposition Serene Party called the move "short sighted" accusing the Freedom Party of "under the table deals" relating to the Republics Phoron reserves. Andrew Reynolds, Chief Relations Director of NanoTrasen told the press that "we're happy to be able to provide the great people of the Serene Republic any assistance we can. With our award winning medical and science staff alongside our great security experts the Lii'dra don't stand a chance." Interment skirmishes are still occurring along the Lake Serenity mountain range, with the full mobilisation of the Republic military forces. The resident Frontier Militia have also been assisting ground forces, being named a "true asset" by Tau Kwadwo, Minister of the Army.
  11. I'm at work at the moment so will leave more in-depth feedback when I get home. [list=] Why even mention the orphanage when she's not an orphan, just a straight Guwan? [list=]Why did she choose to be a cadet when she's appears to want to become learned; why doesn't she want to be a lab assistant or even a librarian?
  12. Howdy boys and grills. I recently got myself a copy of ARMA 3 and I'm loving it (always been a fan of the series and Operation Flashpoint). My questions is: Does anyone want to play some sweet ARMA games with me?
  13. I concur with arrow. Ask cargo, that'd their job. Yes it takes longer then just having everything in science but that's the game. You ask mining for materials and you ask cargo for office supplies.
  14. I think it's a captain role not RD my dude? Regardless, my thoughts echo Coalfs. You're a good roleplayer and you know your stuff - mechanics and server culture wise. I have fun playing with you when our times align but my question is: To add to this, what would Jedark do with the research department? Is he a profit man? All about the science? A bit of both?
  15. Wooops no updates for a while. I hawwve bween dwwowwing stwwuff thwwooww! OwO Vac and Elyra shenanigans with more to come! Ya spooked yet? Made the frontier factions look pretty. Moving away from calling them that since we're now including the lost Eridani Federation alongside Elyra and Dominia (and the Frontier Alliance). Removed Eridani's system on the lore box because it didn't make sense. GOOD NEWS EVERY ONE. We started a "new slice of life" news """"channel"""" to make the world seem more alive and not to have constant gloom and doom (shout out to those who fed this back). Hope you enjoy. Looking into putting in some Biesel "culture" stuff (fashions, music trends, maybe even clarifying some religions o.O). Watch this space. That's all I can remember at the moment! Feel free to check out the pages, PM with feedback and actually roll up characters from these areas before I crash Luna into Earth to make you do it hahahah.

  17. It's already a thing, trespass. I'm surprised how often my characters get away with it. The one's that do it wouldn't be dissuaded by a directive. Just report chronic trespassers to sec imo.
  18. We have the move up function don't we? Press that and it says what's above you.
  19. There should be more then one in my opinion, to give the illusion of the station being an actual, bustling city in spess. Simple mobs that just either stand there or shuffle around saying key phrases sounds good. Some sec, some folks waiting around etc. How hard would this be to do? If it takes an arse load of work then I'd say scrap it. If it's a quickie then why not? Pacman's basically volunteering : joy: : ok_hand:
  20. An implant with directives attached is literally the easiest and least strenuous on the lore. It all comes down to making sure the directives are robust enough.
  21. 13.12.2459 New Cairo In Lock Down A scientist prepares to receive another victim within this ad hoc biological containment lab, set 15 miles outside of New Cairo In the last 68 hours, the Elyran reserves have completely mobilized, retrofitting a shipping warehouse to serve as a biological containment facility only 15 miles off the initial quarantine area. Of the facts known, there are little, but what ENN has been able to verify depict a chilling and horrific environment within New Cairo. Colonel Ahsan Al-Afif provided this public address earlier today “Of all my years in service to the Elyran Medical Corp. I've never seen a scourge as this. This unnatural perversion of science is a testament to the barbarism and complete disregard for human life that our enemy possess, for rest assured my fellow Elyran's the Lii'dra are our enemy, and the enemy of all civilized species in our great galaxy. As with all enemies of the Elyran people, they will be overcome. For merely in the span of 28 hours the Elyran reserve has created a barrier around New Cairo. We have established a perimeter and are assisting in the evacuation and quarantine of infected populace. The nature of this pandemic is still being studied, but what we know so far is that it is indeed a type of Kois fungus not seen before. It appears to react in the presence of light, as such the later stage infected appear to move mostly in daytime hours. Raids and extractions are planned and ongoing. To those still trapped within the quarantine that may be listening, I address you directly. We have not forgotten you. You have the full support of the Elyran military and its people. In light of this, be wary of traveling during daytime hours. Try to barricade yourself in a moist, wet area as to lessen the likelihood of airborne spore travel. Rest assured, we are coming.” Afterwards we spoke to a bio-technician on the scene, professing their frustration at ongoing testing and providing key details into the actual symptoms and signs of the Lii'dra bio-weapon. They have withheld their name for security reasons. “The infection comes from contact, the uh...spores attach to organic tissues over any other kinds. From what we could discover it is nearly identical to kois. Yet this variant appears to have bio-atramentous properties, absorbing a wide range of light wavelengths, even within the visual spectrum. This allows easy identification of spores from a distance, as the spores themselves seem to possess a variable natural frequency, making effected areas extremely dark. Why it does this, its hard to say, but its hard to say anything really from a genetics standpoint about kois. Its clear that its been genetically altered before from the few control samples we have, and so its hard to reach a comparable sample to what exactly the Lii'dra did to the already deadly plant.” Eye-witness accounts of the infected describe infected with oozing fungal growths around their face and shoulders, and emitting inky clouds of darkness where they walk. Conflicting reports say that some of the infected seemed to be moving with purpose, but this has yet to be verified. Thanks to Bygone for the contribution
  22. I like it! It sets up a purpose for Kadir (get me out of this horrible city) and gives us a taste of his thoughts and feelings of his situation alongside a lil'explanation as to why he'd even join NT.
  23. Incogs an absolute lad and a 10/10 roleplayer. My only criticism would be a literal mirror of Coalfs in that the end just slams out of nowhere. On the whole it's great though.
  24. BYOND Key: Zundy Character Names: Mellis Laurenzi, Andrew Grimes, Iskanz Sal'Dans, Lakz Kizi, Kalac Lalsas, Adern Damistraad and others. Species you are applying to play: Zhan-Khazan Tajaran What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Chocolate. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?:Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race:After tweaking the human lore relating to Tajarans on Biesel my passion has been aroused for the species. It's always been interesting and I have considered applying in the past but I tend to stay away from throwing apps around until I actually have an honest drive to play the species. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:Bar the obvious OOC mechanical and flavour (rrrrrr) differences they're culturally a break away from humans. New to the space faring game, embroiled in civil war and largely looked down upon by the older space races they're much less flexible in terms of character concept freedom (of which humans wear the crown). In this setting I would say they are the genuine underdogs and as such open up some interesting concepts to play with supplemented by solid lore. Character Name: Malji Akaidi(Hanjradaskui Akaidi) Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Born in 2436 in the city of Tampiska, Malji (the youngest) lived with his extended family which consisted of five brothers, two sisters, his mother and his father. When he was three his mother attempted to cure a bad chesty cough with a shot of boiling vodka. The vocal scarring caused by the "home remedy" led him to develop a characteristic course, rasping voice. When he was old enough he joined his father and brothers worked in a munitions factory, being homeschooled in-between shifts. This lead to a very poor education and he became a heavy drinker and smoker alongside his father and brothers. Their prefrence was vodka and S'rendarr's Hand leaf when they could get it, otherwise they would smoke recycled tobacco made from the leaf left in discarded cigarette butts. After the assassination of Rhagrrhuzau Hadii, Njadrasanukii Hadii passed draconic laws against Zhan-Khazan chaste Tajaran. Three brothers and one sister of Maljis were executed for "crimes against the state" - a drop in munitions quota performance- which was apparently proof of a conspiracy against the republic. The reduction was actually linked to a reduced work rate due to the grief some felt over Rhagrrhuzau's death. An ironic twist that wasn't lost on many of the local workers who were very much angered over the knee jerk executions leading to Malji joining up with Adhomai Liberation Army alongside his father and two other brothers as a terror cell. Malji later joined a Kazarrhaldiye Tajara unit, "Claw of Messa". He remembers the day he joined the Claw of Messa Akilah, he took his rifle and walked up to a recruiter on Zaarras lane. He was sitting at a desk and he watched him approach. "What can this one do for you boy?" he asked. "He would like to join the Army, sir." This one said. "How old are you?" He asked. "15" This one said. "Boy, you have to be eighteen or over to join up." This one was devastated. Yes he was in the guerrillas but this one wanted to join up with the army proper, a real soldier. He saw the look in this ones eyes and said. "You have to be over eighteen. This one should take a walk around the block and he will then be eighteen no?" This one did not understand at first but he walked around the block like the recruiter said and returned to his table. He looked at this one as though he were a stranger and asked again how old this one was. It was then this one realised. "Eighteen" This one said. He pushed a recruitment form towards me, "sign here" He said. After witnessing atrocities on all sides of the Second Revolution, being part of some himself and loosing contact with his family he became disenfranchised with the war, Adhomai and his own life which he attempted to take with his own claws in 2455 whilst staying in a boarding house on the outskirts of Zatushka. He was rescued by the owners of the house and spent the winter in a rundown sanatorium in a nearby town. He befriended another patient, Akilah Haja, who was recovering from a serious stomach illness. Akilah, far more educated then Malji, had plans to go off world to find work as a biologist within Biesel. She sold the idea of a better life elsewhere and come late spring Akilah and Malji discharged themselves from the sanatorium and set off for Shastar City and off world. Upon reaching the city it became clear that though Akilah could more than afford passage Malji could not. After a tearful goodbye, Akilah lent Malji a large portion of the travel fee and agreed to meet up with him once he got to Biesel. Malji remained in Shastar for a year working as a labourer and living on the breadline purposefully to save money for the trip. In mid 2457 Malji made the trip to Biesel, arriving in Mendell city and to the 'Imperial Plaza' district aka 'Little Adhomai'. Unable to even make a start on finding Akilah and with the awful yet not so unfamiliar conditions of Little Adhomai, his infatuation with the city and Biesel evaporated quickly. Malji quickly became indebted to local loan sharks and consequentially involved with the gang scene, becoming an enforcer for the Claws of Messa gang. Malji found the grim irony depressingly hilarious. Malji finally got a break in 2549 when he bumped into a NanoTrasen "outreach program" looking to recruit local Tajarans in a token effort of keeping up ethical appearances. His almost spotless criminal record (thanks to a lack of law enforcement in the areas) and his previous qualifications as a labourer/factory worker (though barely baseline for the company) allowed him to land a role as an Assistant with the help of the program. He accepted almost immediately. What do you like about this character? I like the fact he's very much bottom of the barrel, looking for a way out. I also like the fact that even upon realising that the universe is much of the same shit, he still wants to try and better himself. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 10/10 *clicks fingers* Hey, how you doin'. Notes:
