  1. This Incident Report is being dropped. It should be said that antags who have been heavily involved in a situation should not be filing IRs on said situation after.
  2. The idea that early release can be used as a substitute for this kind of a system is idealistic at best. Security is often going to be tied up with a number of situations, and it's not reasonable to expect them to be able to micromanage prison times to that degree. Regulation specifies multiple ways a detainee can get a reduced sentence, but method of actually applying those reduction is obtuse and unreasonable. This wasn't a problem in our old system where time was entered manually, but that of course, allowed for much greater issues. Either removing the minimum timer requirement or changing it so that the default charge landed somewhere in the middle of the range would be great for letting sec get more flexibility in allowing reduced sentence times.
  3. Following the conclusion of the player complaint against Biabri/Amy Periwinkle, this Incident Report is being closed. We don't double down on IC and OOC action, and the player has received a departmental ban from medical for the type of behavior detailed in this report. Should they continue to act in a similar fashion in the future, you may file another Incident Report which will not be affected by this resolution. The complaint in reference may be found here: https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&p=82867

  6. I'll leave these here. https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=8869 https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=8862 https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=8835
  7. This Incident Report is being closed as the subject of this report has also been targeted in a Player Complaint for much of the same behavior. We don't double down on punishment IC and OOC and the administration has chosen to pursue the Player Complaint instead. If you believe the action reported here to be severe enough to warrant it, you may find the Player Complaint against Yacobpo157 here and post anything you believe relevant to it: https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=35&p=82572
  8. And command should be some of the most trusted people on NT's payroll. The point being that if an officer didn't personally witness it, he should be getting a warrant unless there's significant reason to act otherwise. Letting officers have the authority to arrest someone on code green soley by saying "the ai saw you lol" is dumb. If it's a circumstance in which any other person reporting it would lead you to get a warrant first, aka something not posing an immediate danger to the other crew, then it should still be done that way.
  9. Typically the AI isn't considered the same as an officer for witnessing. The officer clause is so an officer watching a beatdown doesn't have to go "sorry lmao i dont got a warrant : (" Witnessing something as crew, command, AI, etc. can be used as evidence, but you should still be getting a warrant under standard operations. With that said, if the AI or any other crew is witnessing something that requires immediate sec attention like an attack, calling for them will 80% of the time get an officer there quick enough to just straight up witness what's going down. Edit: Oh right and the actual main point of the thread. I'm more supportive of the idea that arrest warrants should still be required on blue. Excuse search warrants? Sure. When there's a possible threat it makes sense to allow immediate searches of any crew and to let sec act on what they might find through that search. Not really enough of an excuse though to start detaining crew on suspicion alone though. I'd leave it to code red to no longer require an arrest warrant as red alert typically means things have escalated to the point where efficiency is what's needed most. Still waiting on FT to drop his post here.
  10. ajgioaphgaopiheongaopijoipajgag the speed of light = 299 792 458 m / s pretty fucking irrelevant my man its basically instant for whatever range the crew would be using
  11. ion + laser is a bad idea imo oh whats that milord you have a laser rifle let me just ion you then toggle to my lasers and ripperoni ion rifles are stronk outside of ipc combat because of their ability to ruin the day of people who specialize in tech stuff but putting that and a lethal opportunity in the same package is 0/10 with that said I'm all for adding more ways to take down ipcs because as of right now [asasyntheticplayer] there's not enough ways to take them down without going ham
