  1. There have been many instances of hypospray, outside of Star Trek, too. But even within the Star Trek universe hyposprays have been looking very differently. For example, looking like a gun: If you want to stay more "real", hyposprays have been used in real life, too (without much success, though) which have looked like a clunkier version of the above. Having it look like this is a) no problem and b) not even destroying the reference to Star Trek.

  3. Alright, everyone, listen up: The shaker at the bar. Imagine, if you could actually...you know, shake that thing. Like you put the stuff in it and you can activate it to shake it. It makes a cool sound like the one that it makes when bartenders do their thing. Discuss this great suggestion below on why you are in favour or very much in favour of this addition. Stay tuned for more.
  4. Everyone just salty that N/A beat them. I saw the numbers. Originally he ranked #1 in every category. Rightfully so.

  6. Sorry but I dont see how a seven shot 35 damage each laser pistol is "harmless as fuck". Maybe we have just different definitions for that.
  7. While you are right that these roles are EVA capable - they do not or rather should not be EVA alone. Normally they have security guards armed with rifles or carbines to protect them. Your argument with the flash is also very weak. Sure they got some kind of training but training someone to point a flasher at someone's face is very different from proper (and continued) firearm training with tools that are very deadly if not handled correctly. Your argument stems down the fact that antagonists exist, something that just, canonically almost never happens, due to our premise. I dont think I can find a single chief physician with firearm training, except in a military position maybe, which does not apply for us. Thus, the fact that an engineer or doctor (even if they are the heads) do not need guns lying in their offices. Your are entirely right. All these roles have far more dangerous tools at their disposal. Thing is, they now also get a free pistol added to that, too. Implying that an RD would NOT make a combat rig just because he has a pistol in his office now is silly and you know that they will. I am not convinced. What is the reasoning behind the idea of this PR anyway? There are enough guns on station. If you want one, it's easy to get one. Who asked for this?

  10. I am very much against this. Neither the Chief Engineer, the Research Director nor the Chief Medical Officer have any reason to have have real training to use firearms and/or just having a gun lying around in their offices. You might argue that it is "only a pistol" but let me tell you that every weapon someone uses needs proper training to use it effectively. While your intentions to place more non-lethal weapons around the station might be good, giving these roles (potentially) lethal guns is just unrealistic.

  20. I am very glad someone brings this up, finally. What satin says, I can only echo it. A character of mine, Sei, comes from Xanu Prime, a system so far away from Tau Ceti I cant even imagine it properly. Yet I sometimes let her visit her sister, back home. (Its one of my ic explanations why I didn't play her lately again) Thankfully no one ever questions the fact that she is not actually like, months gone, which she should be for the two way trip alone. Tldr, travel times should be much faster, otherwise everything falls apart. It's like in Pen and Paper. Travel times are something small but give actual....dimension and scale to any map and world. It's small but important to wrap your head around this and figure out what works best.
  21. Drago, my dear friend, I do hope you get better soon. No farewell, just an extended see you soon

  23. I disagree partially. The Radiation Suits look very horrible and "old", I'd like to see a resprite. The Biosuits and Emergency Softsuits are also in some way....strange. Maybe it's their colours. The Bomb Suit is nice, though. Hazmat suits are okay, I guess, but surely can be improved.
  24. Just reduce the MD slot by two and put them into the surgeon slot. No numerical change.
