As title says, remove the Ion Rifle from the cargo order list. I feel that the ion rifle should not be accessable to crew without RnD or other stuff like that, as a ion rifle can shut down many antags, and a entire species. The PEAC fits the role of the ion well, and I feel that having the ion rifle being orderable from cargo was a oversight when it was being replaced.

Yet I find it too niche, for example, while yes NT has the most influence, they likely would not care if other SCC members also had this sponsorship (not to mention how you can't really argue to the public that a specific megacorporation command staff can pay their taxes yet another corporate command staff can't, which is the main reason why the salary req is there in the first place.) Why not companies like Hephatus, who have a substantial influence on Biesel, even if its less than NT

board is already a thing, also machinist can even access that console iirc, and why should we need to give them access to AI upload to revive a borg, and why would it be a network thing in the first place.

Already being done with new TCFL Ship.

Lore Impact: Small Species: Synth Short Description: Change of the existing Nanotrasen Command IPC requirement for biesel citizenship to something more general. How will this be reflected on-station?: IPCs who are not heads of staff, are free, and want to have a Biesel citizenship can have a better background for that instead of either being a NT head of staff or joining the Legion. Does this addition do anything not achieved by what already exists?: Its a change of existing lore to accommodate a wider selection of factions and jobs Do you understand that the project may change over time in ways you may not foresee once it is handed over to the Lore Team? Yes Long Description: Currently an IPC, assuming it doesn't want to serve in the TCFL, has to fulfill the following: An IPC has been employed as a free synthetic within NanoTrasen for six years and has a command-level income. I think that instead we should change this requirement to be more general, IE instead of JUST Nanotrasen it can be any megacorporation in the chainlink, and likely reduces the income level requirement so it isnt just IPC heads of staff that can feasibly have this requirement, so jobs such as Scientists, machinists, wardens, etc.

Perhaps like with handcuffs you can resist out of a body bag, and then resist out of the morgue? Unsure how BYOND handles the morgue + body bag hybrid.

[Accepted]EmperorJayJay's IPC Application
ben10083 replied to EJJ's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I really like Emperor's characters, and they seem competent enough OOCly to handle playing IPC. +1 for me. Although like Lancer has been saying may need to explain some bits about your IPC character. -
So like a pumping system like KAs?

Colfer - Command Application (For real this time)
ben10083 replied to Colfer's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
+1 He is very knowledgeable about drone play, and any role I see him in he is very competent in the position. The man is clearly deserving of the command WL and the Matriarch Drone he has been begging for. -

Consular Officers and Corporate Liasons need $$$
ben10083 replied to WaterPumpJohnny's topic in Archive
Made a Pull Request regarding this idea, at first, I thought of making it higher than RD, but felt it was best to stick with 15 for now. This may change if maintainers want it to. -
This suggestion has been implemented.

Pull Request for above suggestion.

I think its fine for a EE guy to try to sneak into the Horizon and snap some pictures (like perhaps they want to see how the engines work for example), but they should overall try to avoid being detected and drawing too much attention. I can also see it valid of just them hanging out outside the horizon, taking some images of the vessel.

BYOND key: Ben10083 Discord name/id: ben10083#3466 Borg / AI names: B.O.B., Duke (Matriarch drone but including it anyways) Have you read the Aurora wiki page about the AI?: Yes Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I greatly enjoy playing as synthetic characters in SS13, and especially Aurora. I would often play as Cyborg or AI, and enjoyed the interactions I had with crew. I feel I am qualified to possess this whitelist, as I have extensive experience with playing as lawed synthetics. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? I have recieved administrative actions regarding synthetic play many years ago, but I cannot provide details as I am unable to access the WI (some bug with server makes it so I can't use WI) Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Yes.

Regarding the Departmental Security Test Merge
ben10083 replied to Skull132's topic in General Announcements
having a warrant. Two officers from completely different departments should not be having a social visit in a work office in another department. They should be having a social visit somewhere else in a place where relaxing is appropriate. 1. Warrants are used to show there is a justifiable reason, the reason cant be the warrant itself. 2. ok then, lets remove the following areas to make sure crew members stay in the common Social gathering area provided to them generiously by NanoTrasen Corporation Engineering break room conference rooms medical lobby (renamed to "medical transfer intermediary") Sec lobby Red dock (Crew will be assigned to their respective transfer cube to standby for shuttle to prevent violations of the social order by socializing in the incorrect zones.) The examples are obviously satire, but they highlight how it doesnt matter where they socialize. If they want to visit their friend who is working in Engineering department, so be it. If they have a problem they can ignore them. -
Regarding the Departmental Security Test Merge
ben10083 replied to Skull132's topic in General Announcements
in regards to trying to limit dept sec officer access, no one wants to be simply standing in a hallway begging for a antag to walk in. it is also a can of worms in deciding what is allowed and not allowed to be accessed. -
Actually for awhile it used to be 7 seconds flat, which was a problem since anytime they flashed the borg again it reset the timer. It was then changed through this pr: https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/4954 to be randomized from 3,7. Now it follows this formula ( flick("e_flash", M.flash) ) from this pr: https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/8191.

TBH I feel that the malf nuke wouldnt be a problem if malf didnt have to go delta to get combat modules.

Despite the fact there are mercenaries in the region of space that are known to attack stations before? Despite the fact that NT has shown no indication of being abusive with their military power? Despite the fact that NT likely has lobbyists throughout their government and the prospects for passing such legislation is slim at best?
