1. A while ago there was a suggestion to implement something called Corruption Cult. In a nutshell it essentially makes it so that instead of having to force people into conversion with violence various items and abilities slowly made crewmembers exposed to them more insane over time, with the crew having ways to lower this corruption as well. I don't remember ALL the details but the suggestion is somewhere on the forums still and I think its a step in the right direction. The above suggestion of using our own in universe lore religions as cult is also based as hell though.
2. I think this would be a benefit. With the current system armor doesn't really feel like armor since all it does is make bullets hurt a tiny bit less, so someone with a shitload of it can still get magdumped and bleed to death regardless of what he is wearing. +1
3. Sounds good to me, overall worth a try I suppose.
4. While this does not remove extended, it DOES remove secret extended, meaning people are always going to expect antags (and even a suspected list of which at that) and char development and relaxed roleplay is going to be damn near impossible as everyone is waiting for the bad men to appear. Not to mention normal extended needs to supercede all the other votes which is very unlikely to happen often with the current crowd. And thus I really don't like this.
5. In my eyes the IAC has always been an organization characters can belong to secondarily to NT, such as the TCFL. Chars can be a part of it, but are still just NT employees on station regardless. I think it should stay that way, because the IAC is a non profit humanitarian group and not a corporation that sells its workers around. -1
6. Faye is a fun person to be with IC and fairly competent at the same time, enough so that I believe they would make a good CMO. Excellent OOCly as well, and incredibly approachable. +1

Reporting Personnel: Jaquelyn Roberts Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Surgeon Game ID: b0Q-adrA Personnel Involved: Astra Zemin, Xenobotanist - Offender Taika Thomson, Xenobotanist - Witness Neith Mekesatis, Pharmacist - Witness Secondary Witnesses: Neha Koepple,Medical Intern - Saw the conversation over the incident in medbay Graziana Stoica, Warden - During the shift, asked to check on Xenobotany every now and then via cameras to assure something else would not happen. Apparently knows this is not the first incident like this to happen. Thi Mai Linh, Detective - Witnessed the offender arguing about her experiments in medical lobby, including the lack of functioning PPE. HAMMER-55, Head of Security - Same as above. Time of Incident: Real Time: 7:18 - 9:49 PM EST 12/28/20 Location of Incident: Xenobotany, Medbay Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [X ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [ X] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [ ] - Misconduct [ ] - Other ___ Around thirty to forty five minutes into the shift, Astra Zemin ran into medical, with no prior warning, running straight to to me and Neith Mekesatis whilst coughing before informing us she had contracted Mycosis. Following the general procedure for such I donned a full biosuit for protection with internals, and worked to remove the infection, luckily before it could spore. After incinerating contaminated items and the Kois, I returned upstairs to make a final scan of Astra before releasing her. At this point I learned, from Astra's own words, that the reason this outbreak had occurred was due to Astra creating a strain of Explosive K'ois and an 'experiment' that seemed to only entail her throwing said K'ois at a wall in her laboratory eleven times whilst wearing none of the appropriate safety gear. She wore only a gas mask and a dress, without informing anyone that such an experiment was going to happen so that we could be ready in the event of an outbreak. Once asking her why she did not use the biosuit given to her in a locker, she stated that the suit is faulty and does not work. Which, later on in the shift, Taika Thomson confirmed with a Reisha experiment. Though at this point, the question then veers away from why she was not wearing a suit, to why she was conducting an experiment with a highly dangerous Fungus whilst informing nobody, with one person on station qualified to treat mycosis, knowing there was no available PPE to protect from infection. Which is as dangerous to the rest of the station, including the one person qualified to handle it, as it is to her. This means she endangered the lives of everyone on the station for an experiment she knew was absurdly hazardous, running past multiple people in medbay with no internals, coughing. She had also claimed that she had done this "hundreds of times" and that this has never happened. Which I have been told by multiple people, was a flat lie. Meaning this is not even the first incident of her endangering lives. After a discussion that lasted around twenty minutes revealing the above information for which Neith Mekesatis was present, Astra left the medbay and resumed her duties. At this point, I walked to security and had asked the Warden to watch what Astra was doing in Xenobotany in case something more had happened later in the shift. At this point, Astra left to the representative's office, of which was occupied by Bjorn Agni-son, a Zavodskoi representative to talk about the incident and the possibility of an IR. At this time Taika Thomson had woken up from cryostasis and I had informed him of the events. After confirming that Astra was still insisting on not attempting to use any form of protection to continue the same experiments that caused the incident, Taika performed a test with Reishi that confirmed the Biosuit and gasmask were indeed faulty. Afterward, Taika came to medbay so the resulting Reishi poisoning could be rectified, and another argument surfaced both over radio and in medbay as Astra tried, once again, to defend using no PPE to conduct experiments with K'ois, stating "My aim is faulty" for the reason as to why the previous mycosis case had occurred, and "I have done this hundred of times" as reasoning to keep going. The argument over general radio was between Bjorn Agni-son and Neha Koepple revolving the incident, but it was mostly just Bjorn trying to defend Astra from people questioning her methods while HAMMER-55 threatened to fine him for keeping it going. At this point the shuttle arrived and the shift ended. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: HAMMER-55, Head of Security Actions taken: Due to the nature of the incident and the fact that HAMMER woke up near the end of the shift, I was informed to make an IR. Additional Notes: I have been informed that this is both not the first time this has happened, but also that Mrs. Zemin is married to a Xiao Zemin, who is a Research Director, and supposedly used her to avoid punishment, which is unacceptable of both employees.
8. I don't think there is a single soul on the server that actually dislikes Mel. she is all in all a very likable person, who is competent in solving issues and directing players appropriately as needed, not to mention her performance last time was stellar from my view, so a big +1
9. Hi. Sorry it took this long for a response, but I have been busy with stuff™ To get to my problems with this application, the story is both in a weird format that is sortof hard to understand, and has a glaring problem. I am reaaaaaally not sure if characters on station can be former kataphracts. This is more unathi lore's decision, but I am unsure on whether NT would hire Kataphracts to the station. Not to mention the tidbit on the end that sounds almost like corporate espionage if I am interpreting that correctly. I also have some questions. 1) Which brood is Avek from, and how does this shape how they behave? 2) What is Avek's view on the Hegemony? 3) What is Avek's view on the other two hives? 4) Which religion does Avek follow, if any?
10. The Zo’ra join the fight! Dis opened! Following a brief announcement from High Queen Vaur’skiyet’sca of Hive Zo’ra, it has been determined that the Republic of Biesel will be allowing Hive Zo’ra to deploy over 8,000 Unbound Warriors and over 300 Warforms belonging to the Zo’ra that were previously being held under supervision in a facility codenamed ‘Dis’ on Caprice for the purposes of repelling the recent Solarian invasion force, with the majority of these warriors and warforms being from Lesser Queen Zoleth’s brood. These forces will likely be concentrated on a mix of both boarding Solarian vessels and repelling incursions on friendly vessels at the same time, playing a crucial role in both the offense and defense of the conflict, aiding the stressed TCFL and Corporate forces as they struggle to keep up with the 35th Fleet’s invasion. The following is an excerpt from a speech given by Ta’Akaix’Zoleth’akeh Zo’ra shortly after the announcement of the Zo’rane troops joining the war effort. “For the past five years, The Zo’ra have lived in Tau Ceti peacefully alongside its citizens. It was a time of peace and, to an extent, prosperity. But alas, times have changed. I am able to recognize when the time for war has come, and I will do what is necessary to ensure both my hive’s safety, and the safety of Biesel as well. We will drive the intruders from the system, or die trying. And they cannot hope to stymie our wrath for their transgressions.” Following the end of this speech, the official order for the Zo’ra to move out was given, and thousands of warriors, as well as the feared warforms, have already joined the battle raging in the system to great effect. Due to the Vaurca being naturally resistant to the vacuum of space, they make stellar candidates for exterior boarding of vessels. At the time of writing, eight ships have surrendered to Vaurca boarding parties, with more assured to come in due time.
11. The K'lax brood of Leto has been rewritten by yours truly. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Leto,_The_Seeker Now with no Vox.
12. Possible operations on Mars! New information from a source inside of the Alliance of Sovereign Solarian Nations has revealed the possibility of a large operation being performed on Mars by the Solarian Government, though not all details are known. Currently intel suggests these operations are no coincidence; as the Alliance's supplies and reserves of phoron begin to dwindle during the shortage, more and more fleets of government freighters are rumored to be carrying this crucial material. Since there have been no major military movements in Martian space, this can only lead more credence to the theory. Alliance officials have condemned what they view as an 'unrestrained rumormill', insisting these suspicions have no basis in reality and that further allegations of irregular phoron movement or usage are nothing but unsubstantiated speculation by parties uninvolved and uninformed. Our insider source has refused to give more information at this time, though we will be closely investigating the situation for any further details, so stay tuned!
13. Well, the answers to the questions satisfy me enough. I support the app.
14. I miss the days of Obrigald and that one IPC who sold magic to people. Unfortunately good wizards seem to have gone effectively extinct, so cutting this tumor out now would likely be a good idea, though my only real concern is that the antag list grows ever shorter.
15. Sorry, but Trix are for kids. Denied In all seriousness, I have quite literally never had a problem with Shen OOCly, as they are an amazing person, writer, and roleplayer. I am very confident in her ability to play a character, even though a medical Za makes me a little skeptical. The backstory is definitely one of the more fleshed out ones I have witnessed of late, and stands out in a few areas, which is very nice considering that is one of the hardest parts for a Vaurca character in the works. That said, I have questions. 1) What does Trix think of the Mi'kuetz? Being a K'lax in the wastes, they likely know what they are. 2) How does Trix view the hegemony? 3) How do you plan on showing how a Za is not typically meant for a healer's role?
16. Some of these are good suggestions, and the point made at the beginning is definitely true. I stopped playing recently for a combo of reasons, but medical being bulldozed and changed every other day somehow was definitely one of the biggest ones. (SERIOUSLY STOP CHANGING THE FUCKING CHEM NAMES, CHRIST) As for infections and what Prate said, more often than not shrapnel doesn't actually do anything other than the occasional pain message. I have never seen it lead to an infection personally. And even then all infections are solved magically by constantly pumping Thetamycin into the patient's bloodstream. Different types of infections with different treatments could do wonders to keep things interesting, as medical has turned back into a conveyor belt as almost all problems can be solved by throwing the patient onto the surgery bed and healing organs while you fix the original problem. Sleepers only really get used for dialysis and the stomach pump, and so on so forth. As for Cryo Tubes, please god do that. They are literally more harmful to the patient than helpful. Putting someone with an injury in there is basically a death sentence. Making them actually stabilize people means they could actually get used for once. As for addictions and physical therapy, these sound like very nice additions. It would also give Nurse characters more to do as it could fall in line with them to help (or at least would, I looked at the git log and noticed all the alt titles are getting nuked anyway hahAhahAHH). Not to mention I have not seen an actual psych for weeks on end due to the lack of mechanics and the role not being fun in general. All in all, spicing up medical a bit with changes like this would be wonderful. +1
17. Hep definitely has my support. They’ve been a good influence for as long ad I can remember, and I am very confident in their ability to be Central Command. +1
18. +1 please god yes I beg of thee the amount of times people have rammed Iv's away from patients is staggering and is annoying as fuck
19. Well, its fairly obvious that you care about the app, with the proofreading, questions to myself and others, and even pointing out lore issues in the lore chat. And from your player backstory I can tell you obviously know the gist of vaurca and how they operate. That being said, I have questions™ 1) What was their first reaction to the world around them once exiting VR? 2) What is their opinion on the hegemony?
20. I may just be dense but what exactly do yoh mean by flipped?
21. Hiiii. Glad to see someone finally noticed the dev apps are still open. So, that said, I find this intriguing and have questions™ for you. 1) What would you change first about the queenless? 2) Warforms are generally pretty up to the imagination even if most of the time it does translate to 'big bug go smash and puke napalm'. What is one of the ideas you have in mind for a warform? Can be minor or major. 3) How willing are you to work with other species in terms of lore arcs and the like? 4) Are you willing to run events? If so, how big?
22. Not a +1 or a -1, but my opinion is that this will only turn into a fuckload of drama over people 'throwing' or being accused thereof, or people half ass playing because they didn't want to be forced into playing cultist. I personally think the rune should just kill someone after a certain number of tries.
23. -1 on armored gloves due to the reasons Hepatica stated. They would be COMPLETELY resostant to stuns and would take an absolute fuckton of lasers or bullets to actually go down, speaking as someone who has been cult a bit as well. And thats for more than one cultist as well. The cult robes already need to be toned down, removing one of the only counters is a bad idea until that happens.
