Hi. I'm the guy that gave you the initial warning. What kind of punishment you get is largely up to the staff member, it does not HAVE to follow the escalation outlined in the rules under certain circumstances. In this case, you deliberately ignored what I told you, tried to make your self-antag arc canon anyway, and was banned due to being told off about it right before in a warning. You also said "it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission" when told you likely wouldn't be given permission to do things like this anyway, which shows us you really don't care much about the rules and were looking for a way to game the escalation system. That is why you were given a permaban. In conclusion, you were permabanned because you blatantly ignored a staff ruling.

Hi, I do like this idea, and think it consuming phoron during the crisis is an interesting way to make it relevant. I'm the one who wrote the original article, and iirc I left it at that because there were concerns about the article and powercreep or something along those lines back then. I don't know, looooong time ago. Anyway, I find this interesting enough to add into lore in some capacity, so I'll be moving this to deferred acceptance. Woo.

Nol wants to rule medbay (Command App)
Roostercat replied to Nol4's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've been enjoying their CMO a lot. They are knowledgable enough, coordinate well, and act like a normal person. +1 for sure. -
Hi. Being an antag doesn't really prove that you were planning on coming back sooner, and even then, you should ahelp and cryo if you know you will be away as an antagonist, ESPECIALLY an antagonist in a limited slot role. You also have a significant note history about this kind of thing, so you should definitely know better by now. Appeal Denied.

Definitely a big improvement. The cornered table also gives more seats than it used to have. Can't wait to see it.

Head of Security begone: Long live the Chief of Security.
Roostercat replied to KingOfThePing's topic in Archive
Chief of Security is definitely better. Chief Security Officer kinda' downplays the role a lot. Just sounds like an officer that happens to be marginally more important than every other officer. -
Avowals Abolished as the Court of Queens Advance in Vaurca Rights Since the Vaurcae arrived in human space, special permits for them to join the workforce have been required. This trend began with Nanotrasen, shortly after the Zo’ra were taken as refugees in Biesel. As a means to ensure their quality and to generate trust, the megacorporation established Avowals of Responsibility. Soon after, others like Hephaestus Industries followed with their own iteration. However, as Vaurcae become more important to our society, avowals began to feel outdated. The topic of avowal abolition is not a new one: in 2461, High Queen Vaur and President Joseph Dorn discussed a work reform. The bill, however, did not go far. After the re-establishment of the Court of Queens in late 2463, abolition became a hot topic for all Hives. Efforts to ensure streamlined incorporation of Vaurca labor in human space began from day one, as it can be read in the public logs of the council. The results of the Inter-Hive organism are finally here. Last Sunday, Stellar Corporate Conglomerate representatives were invited to the Court of Queens’ chambers. The meeting concluded with positive results: the Vaurca civilization was named a friend of the SCC and avowals are no longer required for active employees of SCC facilities, namely the brand-new SCCV Horizon. Vaurca employment in human space is now coordinated by the brand-new Commission of Vaurcesian Affairs, located in New Sedantis, Caprice. They serve as liaisons between megacorporations and hive-cells, as well as provide all the necessary paperwork for Vaurca employees. Local regulations in Skrellian and Unathi space still apply, as well as any requirements from smaller businesses within Tau Ceti.

Regarding the seperating wall, I liked it a lot more. it added some privacy and the sense that the kitchen was its own area instead of just being carved out of the hallway's wall. I would be happy to see that returned. As for the rest of the layout, I hardly even play chef so I have no real opinion on that side.

[Accepted]Pictish20 Vaurcae Application
Roostercat replied to pictish20's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Hi! I am satisfied enough with the app to think you have a decent grasp on our lore. Application accepted! -
This can pretty easily turn into funny guys that try to murder station chars on extended and things like that. It can get to the point of not being very believable as well. I'd prolly only support this if it was a rare event, like Deadlantern said. As an aside, Marooning is probably too intense for a stowaway, given marooning is a capital punishment iirc. Maybe just HuT.

(Hostile) Third Party Ships (and Canonicity): Clarification Needed.
Roostercat replied to Kintsugi's topic in Archive
I think the non-canonicity of the ships is for the best. Having hostile ships constantly propping up would get old very fast, especially if they were all canon, so spacing them out with non-hostile ships and such would be good. The category system seems a good fit for this, though I still believe antagonistic ships should be rare. -
so it turns out Vrow is already fixing this oorah https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/13399

This suggestion is to revert this PR:https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/13096 But why?: I really dislike these sprites for a few reasons. The chief one is that, while the sprites themselves are not that bad, they really clash with the style of most other items in medical. They look drastically different to things like sleepers or pills and this makes them look much worse in comparison. They are meant for Eris and Eris sprites, and look bad here. This is especially prevalent in the bluespace beaker, which looks like a wizard item more than a science produced item. Here is a picture of the current sprites for those that haven't really been paying attention to them: Another gripe is that the previous bottles had more variety. They came in different shapes and sizes instead of just this one bottle with very little changes other than color. The sprites being massive also makes them look worse to boot, even if they are easier to click. I'm not much opposed to the new syringes or dropper. Ultimately I think these sprites are worse than the ones we used to have, and believe this PR should be reverted to fix that.

Right, sorry this took a while. I do actually remember your miner, and what happened was that you breached the station whilst out mining, walking in next to the TCFL shuttle, and then died. I know you are the right person in this, so I'm not too convinced on this argument. In addition, you also have other notes about breaking into OTHER places as a miner. Given all of this, I will be denying this appeal.
