I too, am down for this. What have we got to lose but awful extended. Maybe make it a separate extended if people are so obsessed with their high drama rounds. Regular Extended - Actor Assisted Extended.

[1 dismissal] Remove 2/3rds vote requirement and just make it 50/50.
Hendricks replied to BurgerBB's topic in Rejected Policy
Yes please. It should be fair, not a biased vote. If more then half people want to leave but a few just want to draw it out then it shouldn't have to stab people in the back. -
yeesh, well. It would at least make the round surely interesting. But I don't it would be my cup of american sweet tea.

Making an IC AFK option is a good idea, just that little edge over screaming in OOC, overall sounds like a cool idea for sure.

I love the idea, but I think Tradeband should still be the most delicate and untouched or if at most more blunt. I like Tradeband the most because I like the Latin mix language aspect. As for accents and making them optional I think is a great idea. Maybe make gutter or Freespeak harsh and blunt. Kind of like Ye' for yeah or yes. Or nah or a mix of shortened harsh words since there supposed to sound like a growled language apparently. If it's the right one I'm thinking of. The character Brayden Parker is a great inspiration for an accent.

I think this should just apply to Lings definitely, as much as I'd love to hear people's words after I'm wordlessly blown away would make it more fun, but not being able to hear makes sense and leaving your body as a ghost is acceptance of defeat. Plus being in your body after your dead is just kind of feels immersive to me. But I'm not fully opposed to the idea since you would still remember nothing upon being alive again. I think I'm 50/50 on it really. It'd be nice, but muh immersion.

Does anyone here actually play any of the other games on BYOND?
Hendricks replied to Mogelix's topic in Other Games
Nope, legolust mania hasn't released yet but 2020 hypetrain. -
It needs to be changed, the old sprites for Space Carp look terrible, it has really obnoxious and as stated, it is not shaded at all and having them re-sprited would make things stand out a bit more, perhaps even make them more fearful looking which is necessary if you want people to be afraid of something dangerous. Probably why so many people died to little gift boxes on Christmas. They didn't seem that dangerous at all. So yeah. Updating the Sprites would be very nice.

Disagree, it's fine. Extra spaces is nice when you need to retreat to places where antags won't instantly find you in a small station.

Nawfal's Pineapple Wallet Part 2- Looting corpses edition
Hendricks replied to Resilynn's topic in Completed Items
Oof, well it has one of the best reasoning's I've ever seen so, +1. -
Yeah, as much as I am for realism this sounds like a really quick way to die, especially when you can't open shutters due to lack of access or lack of tools, so nah I do not think this is a good idea.

I love it. I like the idea of them a lot and the background, it makes sense to me. As for the backpack ESS, I imagine having no storage capacity would be a pain in the ass, but I wouldn't mind. But some people with specific jobs might.
-
Gimme dat cowrp, seriously though I like the idea, but I'm pretty sure a lot of people do not.

I would of said I am the worst, I constantly make people wait an appropriate amount of time and I spent most of the time out of department in some crippling state from what I discover from there within, but that is just me. Thanks for voting for me, whoever the 18 maniacally insane people are.

I think this is actually a good idea, it can alleviate some pressure off of Medical and bring potential rp and interaction with the Chaplain job, two birds with one stone kind of job.

Dude. That lighter looks sick af. Also, telling gifts from evil gifts apart will really help when Christmas comes. the bots, I don't really care what they look like, it's not something you really pay attention to, but sprucing them up a little will make a nice small change I think. As for the watch. I have no clue, looks cool I guess. EDIT: Also if you want to work on sprites, could you perhaps do a different sprite for labeled and tagged crates, the tagged crates used to have a yellow outline and it helped you tell which ones were marked, it just suddenly disappeared and its really annoying to redo things when you forget, also adding a small labeled sprite would just help again in a minor fashion, maybe jsut like a white square with some black pixels, but not too worried about it. But the tagged crates is a must since there is no way to tell if they are tagged or not. Saves a lot of frustration.

If this is going to be a thing, make the hair being pulled off the sound of a piece of paper tearing.

Can't even fight a bear, -1. But nah I think in all seriousness, that being my specialty I like Bretscher, focused unique and stupidly volatile, like a movie Scientist it just works and I think a little toolbox that I always hear him mentioning or often seeing him carry one would make him just a little more unique so I likey.

I've said Hendricks@NT.net before because it was the only thing I'd seen, so I figured might as well keep it as that.

Lore Canonization Request - The Station is a Social Experiment
Hendricks replied to BurgerBB's topic in Off Topic Discussion
lmao, snowflake station for the win. -
Resisting should be gone as you get a sensual succ. But yeah I don't resist when I get vamp'd and it shouldn't really be there in my opinion.

I think I have struck a good balance personally, if they aren't hostile antags I would investigate out of curiosity, if they have a sword and say they will use it I don't mess with them. If it's a powerful wizard who is saying their in the bar doing tricks, who would sit in their department for 2 hours. I think as long as you do it realistically it's ok, if my character is in a corner or trapped and has no other choice and the antag gives a chance for interaction, I usually determine whether my character would fight, or if they are taken by surprise, my character has no problem sticking up to other employee's as she doesn't like tp be pushed around, but if it's a group of people on one, and it turns south I always run, if two people were approaching you with intent to beat you to hell, I would stick up my hands I would bail, I think same applies to Aurora, if it's a wizard or say, a person in stupid bright robes claiming to have powers, you can be skeptical and just get annoyed thinking it's a wacko and possibly conflict that way, challenging them verbally. Maybe a shove if it gets rude. But if a co-workers face suddenly extended a proboscis and you don't have a weapon on hand, I think you would back away freaking the hell out. I don't know, as people are saying it is HEAVILY dependent on situation, fighting back can be really fun but you need to accept that you ain't a master elite especially against aliens or people in suits with guns, if you have a knife you could threaten to attack which is what I do, /me pointing the knife at them and saying things like 'don't come any closer' that can be a lot of fun. Either way I'd like this, because combat is fun when it is realistic, but I don't want to see everyone grabbing any weapon they can, stabbing a few hits in then backing away like it was self defense. I've experienced it, having a verbal debate then someone jumps counter grabs the bar shotgun and blasts your face. Like, you just need escalation that is where the fun is to me, if you got numbers, say a Unathi with a RIG and a huge fire axe, your going to feel a little more confident, if your on your own with a pen and a guy in a voidsuit comes, just a good idea to raise your hands. I've done it with BSA plenty of times and it is more fun then just attempting to fight. I've had a forced game of russian roulette instead of just being shot by them, I've been blown up by them, I've been set on fire by them, it's more fun when both parties give and take then a fixed goal of kill. Which is more fun the just killing, so I think -1. The rules aren't the problem, you can have just as much fun doing fear rp combat, like pointing objects or raising a bottle to throw. Also depends on antag, sometimes they just rush you. Situation dependent.

Looks swagger, and cool backstory and reasoning, +1. Think it will be cool to see around.

Medical Supervised Living Center (And Physical Traumas)
Hendricks replied to a topic in Completed Projects
I love the idea, but cloning is a hassle, if a bunch of people died and I was a doctor, I can see the dis-appeal of doing it, it would take so long and constant supervision, I think the trauma system is bad, even having slight brain damage can give you a trauma, it's annoying, tedious and pain staking. As much as I'd love it to be longer and be able to generate more rp, cloning usually does end in bad tier rp. I don't think cloning should be removed, their is nothing worse then start of round gank, which does happen and then having to wait 2 hours possibly more if you don't have another character to play as, or basically can't play the character you want, I am all for the changes to sub medical though, make it a nice place to stay or a nice place to go when medical is full of screaming people, I think either we need to reduce trauma's because their is RARELY a chemist and psych like Burger said, in fact I have not seen a psychiatrist in a long time, it is one of the most underplayed jobs because you talk to yelling crazy people. I think we really need a re-work or just to ease the stress of cloning off of doctors. It is just a pain in the ass for everyone, doctors not cloning people sucks because it's fair, I wouldn't want to do it if I knew what was to be expected. Maybe robotics could make more robots to help medical since Robotics is slightly more played, maybe they could make an auto surgeon that does surgery accurately and without failure, maybe their could be robots that make psychotic medicine, maybe their could just be medicine in the first place so we don't have to go around with tourettes or speech impediments. -
[Resolved] Player Complaint - L0rd_English
Hendricks replied to CampinKiller's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
That doesn't bother me at all, I just think, since they didn't know, they figured they should make a complaint? Isn't that a decent idea instead of letting it go by, if no action was taken? I think if action was taken their isn't need for it too. I didn't know their was.
