  1. Trial began as of 13th May, 2019. It will conclude on 13th June, 2019.
  2. Interview: https://pastebin.com/hqaRidAX
  3. Welcome. I believe we've encountered eachother briefly in-game. I hope you enjoy your time here.
  4. This application was accepted. I am just terrible and forgot to process the thread itself. Welcome to the team!
  5. My specific suggestions for improvement on the department I play is as follows: Engineering Jumpsuit: Reviewing the sprite, I think the puffy knees should be removed. It makes the legs look almost like they're attached to the hands when putting things like drop pouches, belts, gloves, and accessories on. Other than that I think the jumpsuit is fantastic in design. It could perhaps use a slight modification around the shoulder area. It does look a little bit long. I suggest shortening the highlight by a pixel and seeing how that goes. Atmospherics Jumpsuit: Same changes as the engineering jumpsuit in design, and add some sort of accent in a darker teal color. I think it would look cool to change the color scheme to match the engineering jumpsuit, and change the high-vis accent to a teal, but that might be confusing for people to tell at a glance. I think that they look a little bit like firefighter uniforms, which is what really makes them cool to me. Some minor alterations and I think they'll be something I could see as an excellent update. I am curious to your thoughts. Let me know.
  6. As someone who's main role for the past several years has been atmospherics, I've always been a fan of the aqua/teal coloring. I could see going for a darker teal-like color than the more garish aqua if you wanted it to fit within the more subdued color scheme you seem to be going for, but I'd still like to see the subdepartment coloring there personally. Of course mine is not the only opinion that matters. As for the puffy knees some have commented on, I think I see what you were going for but I am curious how it will look in-game. My concern is that it will look a bit silly, though that is with the sprites as giant screen-filling previews rather than tiny in-game versions. It could very well look fantastic once in-game. I like that the service/maintenance roles have what appear to be mechanic's jumpsuits now. I feel like it fits the lore a little better. To be quite honest, most of my characters don't even wear the department jumpsuits and instead opt for a horrifying mix of loadout items to bring together a cohesive look. HUGE fan of those bio-suits. They look really nice. The OLD department jumpsuits for medical are frankly, quite gross looking with all the bright, contrasting colors in my opinion. I think this also brings the overall look of the uniforms forwards to a more "sci-fi" aesthetic, rather than "modern but with bright colors". You can definitely see this in your reference art and in the sprites, with their large, body long zippers and latches. Overall, good work. I'll be watching your progress eagerly and am happy to continue providing my personal feedback.
  7. I am a fan of these. I will miss my aqua highlights on atmospherics though.
  8. Hi. This has been sitting for a few days and appears to be resolved, so I am going to close the thread. Please contact @Senpai Jackboot if it needs to be re-opened. Locking and Archiving.
  9. Following JMJ99’s departure from the CCIA team, I am going to close this. Please contact @Mofo1995 if you feel this needs to be re-opened. Locking and Archiving.
  10. I am also fully against the removal of secret extended. Voting for dismissal.
  11. I am in agreement with Alb. If you jump to jointlocking someone immediately, you will get bwoinked. It's already covered in the escalation rules. If all else fails and you are forced to jointlock them, then you are fine. Voting for dismissal.
  12. Abo has my full support. I don’t think anyone has been more dedicated to the server in my time on staff. +1
  13. I imagine if this was implemented that stats could be collected per round as well.
  14. I don’t think they add very much to the game that couldn’t be handed off to the smelting or stacking machines. Could just have them print the yield declaration on command, already filled out. Then you just sign it. Fine with removing or reworking them.
  15. Things were slow at times but it worked well enough in my opinion. I don’t think any change is needed. Voting for dismissal.
  16. Agreeing with Alberyk here. The custom item crew already takes this into consideration. Voting for dismissal.
  17. I’m in agreement with Alberyk. I think our spread is fine as-is. Voting for dismissal.
  18. Echoing Alberyk. Ahelp them and we will deal with it. Voting for dismissal.
  19. I don’t think this is necessary. If the amount of money antagonists are asking for is payable via station accounts and messing up gimmicks, then they can ask for a higher sum, or simply drain/freeze the accounts themselves. Voting for dismissal.
  20. I’ve outlined my thoughts. There even exists leeway in the current rules as long as you aren’t ridiculous with it. Voting for dismissal.
  21. As was already echoed. You can just kill them, and they shouldn’t be preventing you from breaking things anyways. If they are, ahelp them. Voting for dismissal.
  22. I’d be cool with a notice. I don’t like how bloated the directives are becoming so I think it’d be better that way.
  23. I think it can be incredibly damaging to players who are very very new. Personally I don’t mind being discriminated against because I enjoy the dynamic. I think a lot of our players who go through the trouble of applying for an alien whitelist either feel the same or see it as a necessary evil of playing an alien. However, a lot of people who we get coming to the server are very new to role playing, and I don’t think they enjoy the same masochistic experience I do. I don’t think it’s going to kill humans or anything. I just think it’s going to make playing less desirable for people who haven’t played on our server before, and I don’t want that to happen to new players. They’re already going to catch a lot of flak for not knowing exactly how everything works. I think it’d only add to the negative impression if every other alien is trying to oppress them.
  24. I think existing players might enjoy the dynamic. I don’t think new players joining for the first time are going to enjoy it. For whitelisted species’ players, they know exactly what they are getting into when they sign up. A new player would not have this option, and if they don’t enjoy it will simply not come back.
