Back to back. For instance, playing a round as investigator and then readying up for the round directly after as investigator would end up with someone who had not played investigator last round being prioritized.
-
Long overdue IMO. This is a great and I'd almost wager necessary change for people who play few-slot roles that are highly contested like Investigator.

BYOND Key: PersephoneQ Staff BYOND Key: Sadkermit Game ID: ceS-dMxa Reason for complaint: On the round stated above, I was warned - unfairly, in my opinion - being too harsh on an antagonist. I am appealing this warning on the grounds that circumstantial evidence was not appropriately taken into consideration. During that round, the antagonist did the usual antagonist affair of swiping the spare fairly early on into the round. However, they then blew up the station's main SMES, Medical SMES, and (I believe) a few other places. The station had absolutely no power for upwards of an hour, and during the station's attempts to restore power, the antagonist did not comment on the radio whatsoever. Instead, they lurked in maintenance and silently emptied the armory. Security was entirely unable to respond, and having been without power and suddenly no armory with no RP for over an hour, I decided to ahelp. Kermit took the ticket, acknowledged the antagonist and said they would speak to them and give them a chance. Shortly after this, they attempted to take my character hostage. My CMO got away, and the situation was avoided for the time being. The antagonist said publicly that they had plans to make another attempt at kidnapping my character, and that they would have a high ransom. Given security had no way of dealing with the antagonist (they were limited to some armor, and disruptors) my character proceeded to chemistry to prepare polysomine for her hypospray. After a back and forth with the antagonist over comms where they stated they would come for my character and not use lethals on her, I decided to segue into a confrontation considering the round was near the 2:00 mark. Hypatia (my character) asked for security to come to her location, but before they could arrive the antagonist found her. I backed away from them, and they came towards Hypatia and began to shoot her with the stun function on the carbine. It was then that I hyposprayed them acting in my character's defense, ending the confrontation at around the two hour mark. My character acted in her own self-defense, as she was publicly indicated as a hostage target by an antagonist who had completely removed security's ability to fight back, and bombed multiple areas of the station. To summarize, I acknowledge that the use of a polysomnine hypospray isn't exactly fair. However, I believe that it is about as far as silently blowing up the station's main powersupply, bombing medical, silently lurking in maintenance and then emptying the armory completely without a word. The crew was removed of virtually all ways to fight back against the antagonist. Kermit acknowledged that the antagonist could have done better, as evidenced by their reply that they would speak to them and give them another chance. This is the only time I have ever used the hypospray in this manner in my near year of maining CMO, and do not plan to use it in this manner again. I understand and respect Kermit's decision, but I am requesting that the decision be overturned or the warning be downgraded to a note. I disagree that I shut down an antagonist. They had nearly the entire round to swipe the spare, lurk in maintenance, empty the armory completely and bomb multiple SMESs to severely harm the station. The antagonist being hyposprayed at near or around the 2:00 mark after being able to do all of that with virtually no contest is not being shutdown. Evidence/logs/etc: The warning in question: Additional remarks: None.

i think that this is sort of a callous take. people (generally) roleplay to enjoy themselves and have fun, and a lot of people (myself included) are total big babies about character death. my definition of fun is, generally speaking, not character death. sure, it is roleplay. but to me, and probably a few other people, it isn't fun roleplay. people put a lot of love and work and effort into their characters, and having them die goes against that. some people enjoy that, but many others don't. i think that it's fine to not want your character to die, but in that same vein i think it then becomes your responsibility to moderate what kind of roleplay you involve yourself with. for example, i'm a big bitch about having my characters killed - I really don't like it. Therefore, I do not attend any events that are outright violent. For me, attending the big murdery slasher event arc, that alb repeatedly stated would be very violent, was a no-brainer in regards to not going. if you do not want your characters to die, i think that is respectable and a valid decision. however, it then becomes your responsibility to avoid risking your character. that means not attending violent events, and not doing stupid shit if you do go to an event. if you don't want your character to die, and you attend the event that's been described as gigafuck hellkiller 9000, then that's your fault IMO.

I'm sure Duck could do command, but I am worried about their tendency to go do personal RP over performing the functions of their job. Often on Hakim, their warden, there are delays with armory access or disruptor authentication because Hakim is off doing personal RP somewhere and isn't present to perform their duties as Warden. This could be even more of an issue in Command, because if the Command staff is shirking their duties and doing personal RP somewhere, it can negatively impact multiple people. No one likes command who're always off doing personal RP and not in the department.

PMCG Subcontractor - Task Force 281
Faye <3 replied to BunkyB's topic in Lore Canonization Applications Archive
task force 281 is an incredibly generic name. it sounds more like something from an activision game. -
Why not? They are command staff, and the Aurora is a hazardous place. They are also given hand-held flashes.
-
they'd just be nice to have. the item tab even specifies 'security/command', but as you can see here even the quartermaster can have flashproof glasses, but not RD / CE / CMO. i think a nice change would be to add the missing command roles in. especially given that head roles get hand-held flashes.

Reporting Personnel: Hypatia Lucrezia Saint-Augustine Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Chief Medical Officer Game ID: ceN-dMdt Personnel Involved: - Hypatia Saint-Augustine, Chief Medical Officer, Victim - Marion Ashworth, Roboticist, Offender - Ronald Monday, Officer, Witness - Stephen Degausser, Captain, Witness. Arrived on-station after Roboticist entered cryogenics. Secondary Witnesses: - Atiyah Hakim, Warden, Secondary Witness. - Fehra Maskini, Security Officer, Secondary Witness. Saw the initial insult. Real Time: ~10 PM EST Location of Incident: Near Kitchen, later, the bar. Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [] - Neglect of Duty [X] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct Overview of the Incident: I had taken a break from my shift to have a meal at the kitchen. As I waited for the chef to prepare my food, Roboticist Ashworth walked by and insulted me directly - called me a bitch - with no provocation. Officer Maskini was present for this. After recovering from my confusion, I PDA'd the roboticist to ask why she insulted me. She stated it was for her own amusement, to which I replied if she thought it would be amusing if I had her arrested for i109. She said it would, infact, be funny because it would prove her right about her insult - having called me a bitch. I then proceeded to security, and ordered Officer Ronald Monday to carry through on my threat. Monday saw the chat logs - which I will post below. Monday needed a warrant to move on with the arrest, but the Warden was unavailable to produce one. Monday informed me that he could not get ahold of the warden - Atiyah Hakim - and that it would be out of his hands. Deciding to see to matters personally, I went down to the bar myself to look for the Warden. I found the Warden Hakim drinking with Roboticist Ashworth. I told the Warden to get up and do their job immediately, which they replied with an apparent lack of knowledge about which I spoke. Ashworth proceeded to call me a bitch once again, that I was childish, a childish bitch, and that I was having a temper tantrum. She (Ashworth) then said she was not putting up with this any longer, and entered cryogenics. A short while later, Captain Degausser arrived on station and was briefed of the situation. I cryoed myself shortly after, and decided to make an IR as the offender cryoed before anything could be done. Frankly, I have never met Marion Ashworth before. I have no idea why she would act this way towards myself. Submitted Evidence: Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [x] - Yes [] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: I am a Head of Staff. Actions taken: I tried to order an arrest, but they entered cryogenics before I could do anything. Additional Notes:

I like everything about this post except the service manager role. quartermaster already has very little authority without Executive Officer / HoP reinforcement, and this seems like more of a micro-manager role if anything. i do not think we should have the bartender / kitchen staff restricted by having someone manage them.
-
i don't see the point of this. service is hardly it's own department in my opinion. the bartender or chef needs no oversight. the janitors don't either. i can't see any service player liking having someone tell them what they can and cannot do in their own kitchen / bar / chapel / garden. the quartermaster position works because cargo is centralized. service is not.

I really like the new console sprites, and would like to see them in-game. They're swanky and cool. The wall sprites however I am fairly neutral on.

Expansion of Review Requests/IC Punishment System
Faye <3 replied to Robotic Potato's topic in Policy Suggestions
if a system like this was instated i wouldn't want to see it on the relay because that'd be boring as fuck and a huge funkiller. the relay is kind of a shitshow, and that's the fun in it imo. people are going to talk shit and fling insults and mess around, and that's just how it is i think. part of the humor. it's a work chat. there's bubble. why is central affairs monitoring the nanotrasen equivalent of discord? if you make threats or commit a crime, your character can already be punished. -
Expansion of Review Requests/IC Punishment System
Faye <3 replied to Robotic Potato's topic in Policy Suggestions
i am not entirely opposed to the idea - i think it could be cool to give heads a bit more 'oomph', but i would not want to see it extend to things like the relay. it should stay purely in-game. -
Hihi. I was the officer that shot the borg b/c they were in the way. we had a pretty big shootout between myself, warden Dekel, and the antagonist. of those three parties, two were synthetic. myself (aesma, the IPC officer) and the robot antagonist were fighting while Dekel was a bit behind Aesma. We were on the far right side of the Captain's office, and if I recall correctly behind the desk or very near it. There would have been no wounded for DOG to retrieve except for the warden, and we had the CMO themselves directly outside of the office. anyone who has played a response role before knows that the number one role of response is to not impede the situation and make yourself into a casualty / liability, which was violated here. doubly so when playing a role that is not meant for response (not a medical borg, etc). i do not find peppermint's conduct to be unacceptable, and i likely would have ahelped myself if it wasn't bwoinked.
-
Yeah this is cool, I like it.
-
hahahahah i like the more sci fi cool monitors. they're funny in a good way.
-
Nothing I want to say hasn't been said by Lucaken and Peppermint already. Interesting idea, but I would not want to see it in-game.
-
honestly i don’t really care how it’s implemented, just that there’s some way to open the robotics bay doors. for clarification, i do not mean the doors that go back into science, but the wide door that goes back into the central primary hall when the garage is up and open
-
Hi. I've started to go to Robotics a lot more recently, and I think it'd be really nice if the robotics repairbay had a button next to the door for people to let themselves out, like how medical has in their lobby. That's all. Sometimes the roboticist is busy and can't let me out, and a few times they've went AFK and I've been stuck there. It'd just be nice to have.
-
lame imo. getting cuffed shouldn't be a game ender for antags, and we already punish ppl for cuff spamming. this would also make it awful for hostages
-
I mean yeah honestly I second everything above. Half the time I walk out of cryo and forget about it, then have to make the walk of shame back. It's frustrating.

hi. i play verline steerpike in sec. i've worked with you a few times, and i think you can probably hack it on command. you reply to people over comms and communicate well, and that's half the battle right there. my main criticism for you is that you use a lot of IRL terminology and methods in-game. i think that this is an issue, because i do not personally believe that one needs IRL knowledge / familiarity of a subject to enjoy that subject in-game. i would want to see you try to find a more 'happy medium' with this kind of thing,- make it so a layman can understand and be interested, and be able to RP with you easier. i hope my feedback helps!

This llooks much better! Thank you.
