give traitor borgs a 5 use emag when they overclock themselves. You can regain 1 charge per 30 minutes if you visit a recharger after the 30 min cooldown. basically just to buff traitor borgs, since being a solo antag is hard enough, but they don't even have hands.

Wiki updates will be big on this update. Also, this would be a fantastic time to include those Xeno Medical Differences. *coughs in Skrell and Vaurca Blood

I absolutely do not want the mute removed. Because you know Tits McGee is going to scream bloody murder and reveal the cult at the 0:13 mark when they get stunned.

open ghost spawners to occupy station pets

Removed Access Restrictions for non-secure areas.
Butterrobber202 replied to BurgerBB's topic in Archive
Remove medical and Command from this, and we will be good. command is a super secure area with quick access to some of the stations functions, people should not just wander in there. -
Or a gamemode that randomizes the mixed antag types.

We remove all the posters and make our own

I like the idea. But for the 4 posters you posted armory, can you change their background from tiles to something abit more... idk aesthetically pleasing? The Staff Members in departmental color background with the text would look better than the floor tiles. -
Sword good. jumpsuit is boring, it doesn’t look sci-fi cool at all. It’s overly simple and uninteresting.

and now it’s back on the front page of the forums

bumping this because it is still hella useful.

[Accepted]Butter's Tree App?

1. WiSS developed an understanding of martial conflict from consuming Unathi Blood and being Immersed in their culture. WiSS holds the belief that while martial conflict is necessary for some situations and people, it personally would rather avoid harming others if that doesn't conflict with it protecting itself. 2. It follows a philosophical form of Th'akh, mainly that the combined consciousness of its nymphs creates WiSS's soul, and thus creates WiSS's individuality. 3. WiSS believes in being honorable in your dealings with others, but as said above, it follows a "self-defense" policy when it comes to fighting. -
BYOND Key: Butterrobber202 Character Names: Species you are applying to play: Dionae What color do you plan on making your first alien character: N/A Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes, It was a fun read. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: To be honest, my reasoning for this application is two-fold. The bigger of the two reasons is boredom, I’ve played all the other xeno races in the Aurora lore, and I’m seeking a fresh roleplay experience with Dionae. The second reason is a slightly goofy one, but since I have all the other whitelist a small part of me wants to get this just so I can be a completionist. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Dionae have the easiest time with this question than any other xeno. Starters, unlike Humans (or the other xenos) they are primarily plant-like in nature. They consume biomass and radiation to nourish themselves. Their unique biology and anatomy provokes interest and fascination, it is uncommon to see a species that is composed of multiple beings at once, that work together to act as one singular being. It’s almost like intentional split personality disorder, but the splits are actually beneficial. Character Name: Weeping in Shifting Sands Please provide a short backstory for this character What do you like about this character? Weeping in Shifting Sands is a character with a backstory that makes me feel, “Yes. This is a character that has a foundation.” I enjoy the backstory I’ve created for them and I feel I will enjoy playing them on the station. I also think that I will be able to produce some decent RP based off of the Diona’s backstory. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 8/10, I’ve improved but I’m not the undisputed master of the roleplaying arts. Notes: unga bunga tree

Well for starters, I'm not here to please you. I'm here because I have an idea that I believe will improve gameplay for everyone. Thats the point of the suggestions forum. Second off, I'm not implying that ALL of security is doing this, but there is little else to do to get the results. if you have a suggestion feel free to shoot it. Third off, this will not be hard to enforce at all. Just have officers follow SoP, and if they break it, fine them accordingly. Finally, I do believe that some Security mains do this to hamper antags, regardless if you like that or not. It's a fact there are people who have those intents in mind. Again, I'm not saying every Sec Main does this, but there are some who do it to get the upper hand.

Pretty simple idea present in this thread: Change standard Security SOP to not enter maintenance tunnels without a probable cause. Officially it could look like Reasons for this change are listed in the linked thread, with alot of input from multiple sides.

stop sweeping maintenance the second the round starts
Butterrobber202 replied to Butterrobber202's topic in General
I've found tools and supplies that have helped in being an antag. The other methods of acquiring those items draws attention and can backfire. Also, if its junk, then there's no reason to round it all up, no? -

Don't you think letting them get misused would create a more interesting and fun situation rather than just going on a scavenger hunt every round? -
Every single round, regardless of ANYTHING else, one or two security officers will dive into maintenance and remove ANYTHING that could be even somewhat useful. It's every. single. round. What is the point of having a mechanic in the game that randomly generates items every round if one group of people instantly remove those items from public use? Does anyone ever think that maybe those items should stay in maintenance rather than throwing them all in the armory? An antag could've maybe used some of those items to create a cooler narrative, but nope, since Security has decided that the items must be removed, they are gonna sit in the armory and do nothing to entertain the players. Honestly, I think the practice stems from the fact that most Security mains would prefer removing the chance an antag might have the upper hand rather than letting some cool happen. /rant

Security (And other roles) Less Likely to Become Antag
Butterrobber202 replied to BurgerBB's topic in Archive
big agree due to the opinions above. -
Coming back to this thread since forever, my stance as changed slightly. I like the icons posted in OP, but I would still like some kind of design change that makes me “cool!” idk having a random chance of a paint job, rust, it battle damage would look cool. Kinda an “old team” feel.

Overwhelming support for this. I've been thinking about this for months now, and simply just thought "but everyone would disagree." so I didn't make a post. If I get shot in the head, without anything equipped, I should be dead right there. Why tf can I survive in a vacuum unprotected for even 10 seconds? I should be dead right there. If someone stabs me in the gut and my organs are spilling out, I should be dead right there. You ever wonder why antags are so bad? Its because all their weapons don't deal the devastating amount of damage they should. There is no threat of an villain whose tools don't work.

JamOfBoy's Vaurca Lore Writer Application
Butterrobber202 replied to JamOfBoy's topic in Developer Applications Archives
jam is a forgiving, dedicated and talented person. I've dealt with them many-a-time on my Vaurca Adventures and I've never had an encounter that made me go "oh that sucks". They are patient and generally a good dude/person/humanoid(?) +2
