  1. Please go ahead and fix your format, removing the bold from the answers and fixing up the spaces between the lines. Remember that in order to move into a trial, you need to gather the community's feedback. For that, you are allowed to post your application once per round on the OOC channel. We'll re-review this application in about a week. If the feedback is not enough, it will be denied.
  2. As per the rules of this specific section of the forum, you may not post in the appeals unless you are directly involved in the actions that led to the ban. Please abstain from continuing the argument. All previous posts that do not adhere by this rule are going to be soft-deleted, meaning staff will still be able to read them. Any future posts from people not related to the appeal will result in punishment being issued. To those parties that are be involved and wish to participate, please see to the other rules. Thank you.
  3. Hello. After some discussion, we've decided to give you a trial. It will start today, and will last for a month, ending on the 10/MAY/2019. Good luck!
  4. After some discussion, we've decided to go ahead and approve this application. Congratulations! Locking and archiving.
  5. Okay, hi. This needs to stop. @veradox and @Ferguson , please. On another note, DeadLantern's interview will be conducted soon.
  6. We've read over the application, and the positive feedback you've received, so we have decided to move into the trial phase of the process. It will last for a week, until the 06/APR/2019. Your application will be reviewed again at that time. Please continue to advertise your application in order to gather feedback of the trial phase. Enjoy!
  7. As @TheSleepyCatmom has said, our command whitelist is separate from the species ones, which are themselves one of their own for each species. I am going to deny the application, but you are free to re-apply for any of the whitelists mentioned above with no restrictions. Good luck!
  8. Denying the unban given the lack of response and the fact that the ban already expired yesterday. If you are going to apply for an unban in the future, please make sure to answer the questions presented.
  9. Given the positive feedback to your application, we have decided to move into the trial phase of the process. It will last for a week, until the 01/APR/2019. Your application will be reviewed again at that time. Please continue to advertise your application in order to gather feedback of the trial phase. Enjoy.

  11. I love this idea, but not without some minor modifications: Maintenance still needs to be "easily" accesible in case of radiation storms, and such. It would be ideal to keep a few (maybe around 3-4) actual maintenance airlocks accessible only from the hallways. That would imply removing all departmental doors. One airlock per section of hallway should suffice; that's one for the central area, one for the southern, western and eastern hallways. This way, people could still move into maintenance relatively easy in case of storm. All other accesses would be of the type that the OP describes. Removal of maintenance access. I agree that the tunnels should be kept only accessible for crew that is actually meant to be there. Basically engineers, and potentially paramedics in order to access the rescue airlocks that are found along the hull of the station. No one else (except the captain, obviously). The access requirement would be ignored in case of a rad-storm, as it is the case currently. The hatches should require access. Because it wouldn't make sense to have access-locked airlocks into maintenance, but then basically allow everyone with a screwdriver into the tunnels, I suggest that an item is impletemented, that engineers and paramedics would spawn with, which would look something similar to one of these long keys used by safes (see picture below). It would be necessary to use this item on the hatch to unlock it, which would then have to be crowbarred out. This item could have a chance to be spawned in Cargo or the tunnels themselves, as well. If Security needs access into maintenance, for whatever reason, the Command swipers have already an option to disable access on all maintenance airlocks, which would unlock those 3-4 airlocks mentioned before. Just my two cents for this idea. I'd quite like this to be implemented, one way or another. Picture of the key:
  12. Hello. I have deleted your double-post. Please follow the format given. You can check other appeals in this section to see how to write them. The ban was given after you were contacted a few times via admin-message, while you kept hitting the person on the floor. You were then frozen and contacted again, which is probably when your screen went black, due to the freezing. You were kicked off the game, with the written reason being something along the lines of "Reply to admin messages", and given about four minutes to come back and reply. You never came back, and the ban was made. Why, after all of these attempts to contact you, you still did not notice my messages, but kept hitting the person before being winded? On another note, your "RP" did not extend much more from hitting the person on the ground, from what I could gather from an involved player. What happened prior to this situation? Please answer the questions, and fix the format to continue with the appeal process.
  13. Hello. I have a single concern with this application. Thea is a psychiatrist, but you intend to play her as a Head of Personnel, according to your application. Are there any particular motivations for this? Please consider that both careers don't have much in common, as Heads of Personnel are people who have studied and specialized in certain branches of Business Administration, and are professionals of their field. I have not checked Thea's records, or anything of the sort, but unless she's got a decent history on that field, the only position she can achieve is Chief Medical Officer, if she meets the other requirements. If you wish to start your Command experience with a Head of Personnel, you are going to need to make a new character with the appropriate background.
  14. The application has been denied as per reasons already discussed with the applicant. Locking and archiving.
  15. The final decision on whether to accept them or not into certain department should fall into that department's head. The HoP should promote and recommend assignments to the heads, but it should be the heads' decision to accept them into their department. Otherwise, I'm fine with the idea, and think it should be a notice instead of a directive, as well.
  16. The repeated sound should have a time limit, probably. Maybe a few minutes, and then it just silences itself.
  17. Hello. How many times has Medical missed someone who was injured and on sensors because they were hanging around in another place of the Medical Bay, or just forgot about checking the sensors occassionally? This suggestion entails the possibility of adding new sounds and alert sprites to our Crew Monitoring Console (CMC from now on), so Medical staff can notice any new wounded personnel. The new CMCs would have two new sprite statuses, and would include two new sounds. It would also include a setting menu through which the staff can modify the notification settings, in order to mute the console, change the thresholds of notification or reset the console status back to normal, ignoring who is injured. Additionally, an option to reset the alert per person in the list -with a button next to their name in the form of a bell- should be included, to allow resetting the alert for a single person if they are already getting treatment, or whatever. The first state would trigger at a moderate amount of damage, approximately at +50% and would make the console sound a "beep beep" or any other similar sound, changing the screen status sprite to an orange-based theme. It would remain in this state for as long as any person is being registered with that amount of health, or until the system as a whole is reset through the options, or the notifications for that specific person are reset/disabled. The second state would trigger at a near-to-critical amount of damage, approximately at +0% and would make the console sound a more alerting and annoying sound, with a higher volume than the previous state. The idea is that it sounds like a siren, or something similar. It would remain sounding the siren periodically until the alert is ackknowledged by resetting that person's notifications. The sprite would change to a shade of red, and would blink. The reset would only disable the notification for that person until it reaches a +90% of health again, at which point, any decrease in the patient's health below the previously mentioned thresholds would trigger the alerts again. I'm aware this is kind of an ambitious project, but I felt like putting it out there to see what opinions it gathers. So, lemme hear them!
  18. I think the map's areas should be reorganized, as they do not make much sense as they are currently, as the map is currently a bit of a Frankenstein thing that we've been putting together for years. About the size, it's probably just a matter of reducing certain spaces that we truly don't need, or are underused, and keeping the larger ones that are actually used. But the actual work areas have an okay size, barring Cargo and Security possibly, which are larger than what they should, and could be compacted into smaller areas with the same functionality. What we really need, is a map that is designed by a single person, and mapped by a closely coordinated few mappers. This is kind of an impossible thing right now, but it would be ideal in the case of a remap happening.
  19. Trial finished and candidate accepted as of today. Welcome! Locking and archiving.
  20. First of all, apologies for the delay on this complaint. After going through all of your notes and history in this server, I have decided to deny this appeal. You have been permabanned and appealed two times in the past, plus some other temporary bans and warnings that also exist in your record. I see no sign of improvement through the several years that you have been around, so I have no reason to believe there will be any in this occassion. Most if not all of the history is also related to the same reason of this ban. This thread will remain open for 24 hours, and will be locked and archived then.
  21. You should have been unbanned already. If you haven't, please contact me via PM. Closing and archiving the appeal.
  22. Hello. Reviewing the reason for the ban, it was truly out of place. However, given Abo's stance, and the time it has been since the ban, I am willing to unban you. However, I require a full commitment from your side to not come close to breaking any of our Discord rules, or else the following ban will be permanent and unappelable. I will contact the guys with the power to execute the unban later today.
  23. Hello. Given that Coalf has since then retired from the Administration staff, I'll be taking care of this appeal. Once the case is reviewed, I'll post the verdict here.
