Great! Appeal accepted.

I do like the idea of a regenerative machine that can bring you back from death. And I Like the fact that you've put a lot of ingredients and shit in it for it to do its thing. It should be extremely resource heavy, and very time consuming. Perhaps a varying rejuvenation timer based on how fucked the body is? With say.. A minimum of 5 minutes for the recently deceased, and up to 10 minutes for the most injured? Give the medstaff a need to assess damage, rank and whatnot, instead of just shoving some random body in the thingo. Priorities!

Yes hello, guy here! So as you can see here, you were banned from said role for blowing up security. But I suppose you're due for a second chance. Just be good n' shit, alright?

Right then, I suppose I should say welcome back! Keep your nose clean or you'll be posting here again soon. Appeal accepted!

Hello! I will be taking your unban appeal, as the banning staffmember has retired. So, a few things I want to clarify before. Firstly, I see you have a gotten a plethora of warnings over a relatively short period of time for self antagging and a few other things. Although you want to come back, you need to understand that at this point you are on thin ice, and a rapid accumulation of notes or warnings from this point on, will get you slapped with another permaban. An unban should be fine at this point, but you need to acknowledge what I have written above.

If you mean in the absence of any command staff sure but there is zero precedence for upholding an officer signing his own search or arrest warrant and executing it. That would be very strange. Thing about this though, if someone did file an IR about it, a certain officer would be in deep shit, either icly or oocly, depending on what was written on the warrant. And also, yes. The paper variant of the warrant would be needed in this case.
-
I unno man. Officers can just write their own warrants and sign their own names. If someone yowls that an arrest was invalid or done improperly, you have your own warrant to back you up. The Warden has to explicit power to write warrants, and is not the de-facto HoS when one isnt around. You're trained officers, write your own warrants, uphold regs and do your best under the current circumstances.

From my experience with it just now, it stutters and stammers like paincrit, and it makes things incredibly hard to read. Maybe half the stuttering rng or whatever fancy is used

So seeing we have this wonderful disability thing now. Maybe we could have a suggestion thread about getting some more put in? Anywho, a disability I'd love to get put in is illiteracy. Make the words on paper and possibly PDA/newscasters jumbled. Maybeee.. Something like when the AI tries to read something from afar? Feel free to add your own suggestions here.

If these biosynthetic shells would replace the current shells, Im all for it. As it stands now, Shells are put together very.. Awkwardly. Just an endoskeleton with synthskin slapped ontop of that. Besides, wouldnt it be awesome if shells bled all white? You can fancy up an IPC all you want, organs, blood, heartbeats and even sweating, but that doesnt change what they are (Or should be) at the very core. A cold, uncaring machine.

Character Complaint - Kato Zane/K0NFL1QT
Pratepresidenten replied to tbear13's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
From my limited interaction, there was... Very limited interaction. I got a vault camera alert, so I went to go repair it. I bump into the HoS by the vault elevator. He greets me with "Going somewhere?", where I informed him the vault. He then puts himself in the elevator door and just stands there, talking into his headset. I ask what was up and I get nothing for a while until he says "Talking to the Captain". I get zero information or even a hint that something was even remotely wrong. Another camera alert pops up after standing idle in the elevator for five minutes, so I just leave to deal with that instead. Although I was just a lowly engiborg and not really worth giving a full situation update to, just spitting an "There's an ongoing security situation, wait/fuck off." would be plenty. You need to relay information and guide your department. You're the head of security, not a lone commando. -

You dont play command, do you. Supernatural scenario 101: Bullshit happens, people deny bullshit existing Sec gets valid boners over time, hard like diamonds Supernatural gets caught or killed. BONUS: If Command is applicable, throw the supernatural in xenobio for the rest of the round.

I dont think the issue here are the combat borgs themselves. Sure, they're powerful as fuck and they can stomp on more or less anything. But where do combat borgs come from? Command. Command players are the ones behind combat borgs. When combat borgs are brought out, its not for peace negotiations, its to exterminate whatever they were activated for. Perhaps we should look more closely at command players activating the crisis override for flimsy reasons. One deadly traitor is hardly cause for combat borgs, unless said traitor has wiped out all of sec, neither is a somewhat annoying heister squad, or a teleporting shitninja for that sake. Crisis override right now, is much like the evac shuttle or ERT, Its triggered to end the round, and it should be treated as such. You activate them as a last resort, not to beef up security with extra firepower. Just my two cents on the matter.

Ive said it since day one. Whitelist the AI role. It has just as big of an impact on the round as a command player, if not more. Im very supportive of some form of quality control for the AI, but not the outright removal of it.

Hard pass on this. Either you do it in character with reasonable escalation, lover or whatever, or you dont get to do it at all. FIrst I thought you meant ERPing in ooc over text. lolno. In any case, concerns about age restriction and such has been brought up. Probably wouldnt be too hard to implement a system, to allow underaged to be shielded from things and the rest to.. Do their thing. Our coders are pretty great. In any case. There was also brought up the issue of ERPing over doing your job, well. We'll enforce that as we do anything. As it says in the rules, you need to be able to do your job to a satisfactory standard. And we would enforce ERP related bullshittery harder, like.. Violent rape and necrophilia. That being said, I think it'll be a nice change of pace for those boring rounds where nothing happens, like.. Medical as always, sooo... It'd be a great pasttime with a partner or random encounter you build a relationship with. Nothing like an office quickie, right? >:3

This post here. Lets take this point by point: You question how they were hired, and as pointed out by Menown, the ceti basic requirement is pretty low, or we wouldnt have any Zhan-Khazan Tajara on station, or most skrell for that matter. As for the Chief Engineer, you basically harrassed and bullied them until they had enough and they went to cryo, and you asked who played them twice in OOC afterwards, either to shit on them for being "Incompetent" as you pointed out several times, or to make a character/player complaint about their incompetency. That by itself is not alright. And there is the statement of "That's why I had decided to create some departmental conflict, as I had already established Ronne as a rather rude character." It is not your job as a non-antag to create conflict, especially not in the manner you did. Being a rude prick and rubbing everyone the wrong way is fine and dandy, if you do it properly. You made a passing remark at the stutter, sure, but what it turned into was some OOC bullshit bleeding into your character's interaction with the engineer, and let me tell you why. You kept escalating your rude remarks, saying that she was faking her stutter, and if she wasnt, she was obviously brain damaged. You spent so much time ragging on them, insisting they could just be fixed by medical, so you called the AI and wanted it to schedule surgery for them, because "They werent fit to work in their current state." and it was just a simple trip to medical and undergo invasive brain surgery to correct that "nasty" stutter. And as an addition to them being "Unfit" and all that shit, you seemed to have no problem understanding them whatsoever, and you made zero effort in trying to roleplay their stuttering being incomprehensible gibberish as you deemed them a hazard to the workplace due to said disability. What you kept falling back on was that "Real stutters doesnt work like that" and "I grew up with friends/GF/whatever that had stutters and it sounded nothing like that." There are varying degrees of stuttering, some are mild where you stumble on a consonant once in a while, and some a vowel, or both. And then you have the crippling stutterers which can spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to utter a single word, and sometimes making them give up on the word, trying to find a substitute which is easier for them. So they're using shorthand stuttering to show their character's disability, who are you to judge that this isnt "The right way"? Just because they dont conform to your picture perfect way of typing out a stutter, does not give you the right to try your damn hardest to tear their character apart and call bullshit on everything they do. If you want to show your annoyance/hate towards stutterers, mock them for their stutter. Be a snarky bitch about it, pronouncing words in a disrespectful, slow manner to them as you know they will struggle with it. We're all here to have fun, and what you did to these two was the direct opposite. If you want to play an asshole character, you may do so, but do it right. I want you to reply to this post before I make my verdict ToasterRoboto

If you want feedback on a character, read the OP and make a new thread.

To put it simply for you non-engineers. In engineering, there is a manual, the Supermatter Engine Operating Manual. It details how you set up the supermatter engine, using nitrogen only. Brand new engineers tend to follow this book to the letter, and scratch their head when the supermatter inevitably delaminates from overheating, as a full N2 engine is completely unsustainable with the instructions indicated. But seeing there is a readily available phoron canister in the engineering hard storage, I dont think swapping them out would matter all that much, but perhaps a tweak to the instruction manual would serve new engineers better. Not having phoron in there also gives the Atmostech a reason to exist. Besides, the N2 has its uses for saving a delaminating engine if you dont have phoron readily available, and you dont have time to hack into everywhere to get some.
