  1. Be gud, things will get better <3
  2. Ive bumped across this on some server, I cant remember where. And I thought it was super nifty, and could possibly help a lot during deadhour. What is it? Well, from what Ive pulled up on various wikis is that the AI shell is a small drone with a limited toolset, capable of dragging things around and interacting with machinery around it. There's also a secondary option where you can install an AI interface chip into a completed borg shell to allow the AI to intergrate with it and use it as a normal borg, or something of the sort. So the suggestion is to make this a thing here too. It would give robotics a little more functionality if there's an AI present, and it would give the AI more functionality to be physically present if there's a need for it to be. Setting up the engine, patching a few holes, operating or acting as security aid, depending on which shell its inhabiting. Perhaps to counter power-swapping between shells/borgs there could be a cooldown between uploads unless the shell it was inhabiting is destroyed or something. (The destruction of the AI core would obviously shut down everything). So the tradeoff here would be omnipresence for limited physical interactability. If you're on-site, you cant spy and help out everywhere. But what if there is no robotics to make the borgs or shells? I was thinking that the AI core would spawn with a dormant shell it could inhabit if needed.
  3. Ive always gone with the lore that cryopods are loaded into a bluespace cryopod cannon and shot over to the NCV Curie (Cryostasis freighter) and redistributed to the pre-designated habitat/housing cryoport through automated shuttles! But for the suggestion, having it take into account time passed as offline, that'd be nifty.
  4. For those of you not wanting to look it up. i210 Unlawful Modification of AI/Cyborg Laws. To modify the laws of a cyborg or artificial intelligence, without need, proper access, or authority. But I agree, it should be updated on the regulation page.
  5. Psure the vending machine was deleted from odin
  6. What makes elevator doors a "Powergaming barrier" as opposed to a regular airlock?
  7. Outside the crusher I'd hope. If its inside, it kinda destroys any play where someone is actively trying to crush someone.
  8. BYOND Key: Pratepresidenten Character name: Zohra Mrakiizar Item name: Cup of coffee, Mug, Generic cup, something of the sort. I dont really know what would be best, its not fancy or anything. Why is your character carrying said item to work? As some interactions went some days ago, a few jokes was made regarding my character being best warden, and a reply given that its only true if its printed on a mug, so she went out to get one. Item function(s): Its a cup, you drink from it. Item description: A generic white cup. The words "BEST WARDEN" is printed on it in big, bold letters. Item appearance: Courtesy of Dronz (ily bby) How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? Well, I suppoooose.. Its gonna be visible on the security front desk to collect passing grins or questions by visitors or security dorks. Who has this kind of cup? Awesome right? Additional comments: Wanted to take a shot at this due to.. Well, it was a very spur of the moment thing a few days ago and it sounded like a great idea! Feedback would be neat, especially about the name I guess. Kinda walled on that.
  9. The species themselves doesnt necessarily have to be the constructing party. Im sure humans make plenty of Tajara shells to put around into key places to ensure stability and favor for the greedy human race. Who is truly flesh and blood? Is your best friend like you, or have they been a machine all along!?
  10. I mean, seems like a pretty easy fix. If this should be re-implemented at any point, and someone is caught using it for a species they dont have, they lose their IPC whitelist on the spot, be it for a year or permanently. Simple as that. As for the xeno shells, I was always a fan of these, so Im supportive of the reintroduction of them.
  11. Really? I've imagined the entire cybernetics gig being extremely modular. You install a prosthesis socket and then just pick a limb to attach. As I see it, basic cybernetics would be a lot like plug and play, since you know how your arm is supposed to work. But Im betting having tools and gadgets installed in a limb calls for a lot more precise calibration as some of them probably need you to.. Mentally call for whatever tool you want to deploy? Not to mention training yourself to think or feel the correct command for that spesific limb/tool I guess?
  12. Vore has better shit once again, smh. But seriously, we have cloning and borging but not a toolkit in your arm, this needs to change! Very supportive, bless this post.
  13. I think this addition would be great to your character, good for the bad juju feels!
  14. Maybe they'll implement more cross-regioning to the vanilla servers when they hit. One can dream.
  15. EU and US doesnt mix. You would need to buy a whole new game for either region and level a new toon, just FYI!
  16. Get drafed into spess Spend 10 minutes going through clothing lockers on the arrivals shuttle because I thought this was relevant and/or important Go to robotics, people comes pouring in, wanting to be borged Borg a few, they just keep coming Guy comes to the desk, offers me an INFINITE CAPACITY POWERCELL Ask what the catch is Dont borg my next patient "No problemo" Next patient comes in, run the debraining gig Patient dies, stuff his remains and brain in disposals, tote my infinite capacity cell around Evac is called, go to shuttle Entire fucking shuttle explodes on departure Die instantly
  17. Bless u precious creature
  18. Overclocking was flash-proof right? If so, yes please. Its hard to get anything done as a borg without being flashcheesed to oblivion.
  19. I can understand the boring, shitty setup of the shields, but.. How is engineering different from any other department? Its a job that needs doing, and without staff, it doesnt get done, just like any other department. It seems to me like you just want a play-ready department to spawn on at roundstart, because doing the engine setup and various tasks is painstaking and boring. Isnt R&D the same? You do literally the same thing over and over for levels. What about mining? You mine for research to get your KA and other shit. Why not just give all the departments full roundstart-ready equipment? R&D can print lawgivers on the spot, mining starts with fully kitted rigsuits and maxed KAs, the kitchen, bar and chemistry for both medical and science comes maxed out with 3 of every possible thing creatable. What makes engineering more of a hassle than any of the other departments?
  20. Hello, AI here! From my point of view, emptying your gun into the antag at that point was not unreasonable at all. The round had progressed to the point where they had to be lethally captured or killed, as they posessed immensely destructive weaponry. As a Captain, you shouldnt put yourself in harms way, which you did on a few occations. I did tell you to step away a few times as there was severe danger. This itself was a little problematic, but not critical. Now as for the argument that the Captain should rely on the ISD and ERT to do the work. At the point where the ahelps went down: Officer 1: Died to reading the scroll Officer 2: Obliterated by fireballs in the brig + sharded/turned to a juggernaut Officer 3: Cornered and trapped in the crusher maintenance room. Officer 4: Barely conscious after being trashed by the juggernaut. (Captain witnessed) ERT: Hadnt even docked yet iirc. As I see it, there was no fault to the Captain's choice to discharge their firearm in an attempt to injure the wiz and have the one and only officer left saved. You have a duty to your station and crew, not just stand by idly while they get destroyed.
  21. That's a pretty big buff for it though and would have to be balanced with limited used, a long cool-down, or making the change temporary. Not that much of a buff if you ask me. Just strip away the critter transformations to prevent shitty low-health ganks. But as a counter balance, a five minute recharge timer? Dont want it to be too long.
  22. Just take away the RNG element and have it give you an option for what you want the target to become. More manageable, and opens up more routes for the wiz to take gimmickwise.
  23. I am a huge fan of this to be honest! The prospect of having tasks modified by stats is very appealing, allowing you to further tailor a character to fit the job needs. A hard working miner would have more melee weapon damage and would hit harder, and a constant on the move paramedic would have faster movement speed. What is there not to like about a system such as this? Either you can do a thing awesomely, okay-ish or fail horribly. Although such an implement would require a very long time of constant tweaking and rebalancing, not to mention ripping apart our current system, and y'know, people would most likely cry over certain aspects not being perfect for them as people always complain about this or that. In any case, this suggestion has a lot to offer and it has my utmost support! Make it a reality please.
  24. You challenge my kitty empire? For shame! But seriously tho, Im a big fan of pets, and this one has harm coded out and adorbs coded in? Maybe we can be friends afterall <3 I wholeheartedly support this precious addition.
