  2. Oxycodone gives no pain messages. Oxycodone is the ideal reagent for surgery.
  3. No, I mean: In the station, at the default temperature, with unaltered atmospherics. Completely normal workplace. Also, if thinking and interaction and so forth generated heat, then positronic brains would heat up the tile they are on when active. As they don't, it's not the processing of their core that generates heat, it's the operations of their chassis. A chassis with very minimal plating, considering how easily damaged they are, which would lead me to assume it should have far better ventilation than it does. Image
  4. This would definitely be nice if we straight up tried to imitate Lifeweb's medical system even moreso, with severed arteries and the like being the real danger of combat.
  5. A classic ERT tactic when they didn't want to risk defusing a nuke was to circumvent that by C4ing it. It was understandably patched iirc because it was somewhat awful, and that's why I'm mentioning it here so it doesn't end up an issue for any new iterations of defusable bombs. I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Destroying a nuke before it explodes is a legitimate tactic to prevent explosion. they require things to be just right to start the chain reaction It was a bad thing because it was no effort to completely negate the only real diplomatic advantage of Nuclear Operatives, as the Nuke was the only thing that would make people listen to them.
  6. Firstly, imperial system is the only system I believe in. Secondly, this is the future, there is no excuse to have these smaller robots running (In normal conditions, mind you) hotter than my computer playing Evolve at max settings on release day. They would burn people they touched, which is unusual considering these are generally designed to be around people, wear clothes, and handle things that should generally be kept room temperature. Get some liquid cooling in these fuckers.

  8. As Delta said above. Slimes are fine, if anything I would recommend putting a manual to xenobiology on the table for inexperienced players to read. If we were banning people for being terrible at their job then we'd have a mostly empty medbay station because noone would be able to learn anything.
  9. People can very easily accidentally walk into these. The current system is fine but a slight sprite change and name change would do it well.
  10. 1) Yes. The classics are always good. SS13 players are also generally terrible poets and I'd rather not have the library's poetry section be a dedicated cringe festival. 2) I don't see why these are mutually exclusive. You can have real books and fake books side by side, this is not an issue. I also fail to see why one should force abstraction instead of, again, having both abstract and non-abstract available. I come to the library to read the writing of various historical authors as well as players, I don't want to open a book and see a single fucking line in it when I want a story. That is to say I'm not against single-line books for certain things, but I despise the idea of forcing them. The only time I've seen abstraction make sense was in a grammar book for Ceti Basic, because the language does not actually exist and there is no basis from which to create a proper grammar book unless you're being a smartass and just copy+pasting an English grammar book. You mean like actual books? If you want to make the text walls more bearable, add a method of having 'pages' in a book. You currently can (If I recall correctly) tinker with your writing to some extent if you know the little commands to do such things, such as changing text size or what have you.
  11. Adding more military-grade bomb varieties for the various antagonists/ERT/etcetera with such a system would be nice, but the current tank transfer bombs are fine as is. If someone has had the chance to defuse your tank transfer bomb, you're not a very apt bomber then considering you can remotely trigger those, unlike the nuke ops' namesake. Also I guarantee that if you add more types of bombs that require wires then ERT will just c4 them all, so anyone who tries to implement such devices should keep that into account.
  12. I still question how they don't take damage anyways since any semblance of a basic built-in cooling system in them is non-existent. They run at about 150-170 Fahrenheit as their normal body temperature, wouldn't someone realize the very obvious design flaw there?
  13. Ah, the story of how spess cat lore came into existence.

    Mice Bites

I'll give you a single, solid reason why mice should never be able to cause damage.
  15. We're already bad Elder Scrolls fanfiction, just look at the catbeasts.
  16. I like the clothes and healing abilities, but I'd say the 'evil space spirits' should only be a thing on Cult and Wizard rounds considering the supernatural flavour. Stone altar would also look terrible considering the chapel is currently using carpets and wood flooring, and not stone tile flooring. I do agree the Chaplain needs a little more attention at times, but there has to be an understanding that the reasons he might not get as much interaction are more likely to do with location and people being generally busy. Want more people coming around? Host Mass for the crew or so forth, try and get them actually semi-interested in what you're doing. Being tucked away in a corner means people have to go out of their way to involve themselves with you, and you have to encourage them to do it in the first place by catching their interest.
  17. Downside of the cultist IEVA suit is you look shoeless in it because of the recent code change that made things like boots, masks, and so forth to not show through IEVA suits (This also ruined the look of gas masks and syndie softsuits). The cultist IEVA suit sprite lacks any boots on it, so the easy fix would be to just nick the cultist boot sprites and frankenstein them onto the IEVA suit sprite.
  18. This story hits too close to home.
  19. Having it available from the start means it'll actually be a feature that sees use, as otherwise you have to go through walls of paperwork to do anything interesting. This, fully.
  20. What's good is good, what's bad is bad. If noone's mad then all are glad. Getting angry or sad over a video game is fine. It shows that you care about the game to some extent. There is nothing wrong with this. But in either case you should always take some a break for a few hours, or maybe a day, as the saying "It's only a game." does hold merit in that what happens is unlikely to affect you in the next session, unless it happens to be something RP-based, in which case keep being mad/sad/glad/what have you. Validhunting is bad. Winning isn't bad, but winning tends to be dictated by the goals of those who try to win. Surviving is a good goal, making RP is a good goal, these things make sense and work well together. Validhunting is not a good goal, it may be fun but it can also be something of a cunt move and it neither prioritizes your survival or RP.

    Mice Bites

No damage of any sort pls or I will have to start shooting mice. Also can't you just emote a bite as a mouse, at this point?
  22. I expected unnecessary depth here, but I'm surprised. Seems reasonable as long as the chemistry recipe for the antiviral doesn't require anything horrific or unusual like Plasma (As a non-catalyst) or such. Although I will say the infections aren't realistic at all considering you get necrosis within an hour or less.

    Rimworld

Something is very, very wrong with my sculptor.
  24. I see forgetting how to make anything and having to refer to a wiki page/github even more than chefs already do as is. Making the job even more wiki-reliant and confusing will not attract people unless you also plan to write an in-depth guide on every recipe and cooking process you include with this new system.
  25. Port goon cooking 2016. Whilst the above comment was entirely serious, I do truly believe that unnecessary complexity isn't always a good thing. Although renaming food would be quite nice.
