so, like... i can get where people are coming from when they say it looks like a science tool.

honestly, i think it's... a little silly that our tools have to be color coded- departments and uniforms i can understand, but... tools not so much.

that being said, if it makes people happy, then why not... just... do this?

and, like... if the pointed part is also something people dislike, then... it's like... 5 pixels to erase...

BRAINOS' sprites are better but both of them look like laser guns out of DBZ or something.

If we're going to keep the Star Trek reference, at least represent it correctly as something like either of these two:

There have been many instances of hypospray, outside of Star Trek, too. But even within the Star Trek universe hyposprays have been looking very differently. For example, looking like a gun:

If you want to stay more "real", hyposprays have been used in real life, too (without much success, though) which have looked like a clunkier version of the above. Having it look like this is a) no problem and b) not even destroying the reference to Star Trek.

This seems kinda overblown, judging from what brainos had to say on the matter.

Grain of salt from me: I'd prefer if the hypo looks like a medical tool and not like a science tool, but the current appearance is passable enough that I don't mind if it's changed or not, so long as it still looks like a medical tool.

I am motioning for a close on the revert PR, as the current one in game is pretty much OK because no one really bothered to object any further after the initial outcry.

I won't be closing it, as I only held on seeing it pushed because I was told there were going to be revisions made to the sprites, either on your end or on BRAINOS', and neither of these things have happened yet despite several weeks of time. If you won't act on the feedback that was given, I'll push moreso for a revert until you do, as that was the only reason I held it up in the first place.

I was never opposed to how the original sprites looked, but the revised ones definitely had an eye popping flare to them that I enjoyed, and I guess I’ll state that I enjoy those ones more than the second revision since this thread became active again.

I think having a revert to the more popular sprite would be a solid take. Just because people ‘stopped complaining’ doesn’t mean their opinions changed, and the feedback thread here seemed to garner great support for the first revision and not the latest one.

Hello, supporter of BRAINOS’ sprite here. I stopped objecting to Wezzy’s replacement due to assuming that a version taking in the community’s feedback was being worked on, either by Wezzy or BRAINOS. Since one is, seemingly, not being worked on, I support a full revert to the BRAINOS sprite. The support is there, if we take this thread as evidence.

"BRAINOS IS BETTER" is literally not useful, constructive, or conducive in any way.

I'm not here for some popularity contest, just trying to make good sprites.

Because the revert already went up, and people said they would work on another version? People stopped the "outcry" because they were waiting. It is not "OK". Neither was your PR.
