No. You brought it back up on the general channel with; "I was flamed earlier for talking about it." in the general channel. I realized you were upset about the round, which is why we buried the topic after everything was over, and would have left it at that. But then you brought it back up, which is the straw which broke the camel's back. I wouldn't have made the Request otherwise. You've gone back on what you said on your appeal, and given your actions, I'm not sure you should be in the community anymore. Is this similar to the "constant shitstirring" that got you banned on Citadel? I think you have the potential to be a good person, but your constant complaints that chip away at everyone's spirit cannot stay. I hope ya get those medical problems figured out, it sounds like it sucks. Best of luck for that.

BYOND Key: Geeves Players Byond Key: BurgerBB Time of Act: 01:30 - 02:00 GMT+2 Reason for Ban: Failure to adhere to the requests stipulated in General toxic behaviour in general discord. Haven't seen in-game or OOC, so cannot comment there. Byond key: Geeves Discord key: Geeves#8863 Character Name: Kuhserze Ioraks Item name: Iorakian Welding Mask Item function(s): It's a standard welding mask. Item description: A modified version of the standard issue NanoTrasen Engineering Corps welding mask, hand-painted into the colours of the Ioraks clan. Various alterations are clearly visible, including a darkened visor and refitted straps to keep the mask in place. On the inner side there is an ingraving of the Ioraks clan emblem, an open splayed hand with its palm facing the observer. Item appearance: Why is your character bringing this item to work? How did your character obtain this item (1 paragraph or more please): He handsprayed his welding mask to fit his clan colours, because the standard grey welding mask is ugly, crimped his style, and clashed with the look of his cloak. What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell? (2 paragraphs here please): The item is valuable for the same reason the cloak is valuable, looking fly as fuck reminding him of his clan and the whole reason he traveled to Tau Ceti to provide for them by sending hard-earned funds back to them. It is a one of a kind item that is a literal in his face constant reminder of what he's here to do. To him, his tools is his only connection back to the clanmembers who taught him the basics of Engineering back on Moghes, and to have the item that protects you while you work painted in their colours honours them and their spirits. How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP?: It works in the same vein as what the cloak does, but as a welding mask. A few times over the last few months since getting the cloak accepted, I got passersby to go "Hey, nice cape.", which then launched into a tirade Ioraks talking about his clan, how he got educated on Moghes, and how he ended up as a Chief Engineer. I believe this will serve the same, but with the addition of "Spirits protect me while I work", whilst the cloak is "Spirits, make me look good." Item name: Delegation Armbands [each item gets a unique name] (Armband Box, Azszau armband, Kutzis armband) Item function(s): It's a box that starts with eight armbands, four of the Azszau armbands, and four of the Kutzis armbands. Item description: - Armband Box: A box full of team coloured armbands. It has a small picture of an Unathi's face misprinted on it. - Azszau armband: A quite comfortable armband denoting its wearer as a member of the Azszau team. In fine print on the in-line of the fabric, it has \"The Skilled Hands\" worked into it. - Kutzis armband: A quite comfortable armband denoting its wearer as a member of the Kutzis team. In fine print on the in-line of the fabric, it has \"The Bright Minds\" worked into it. Item appearance: Why is your character bringing this item to work? How did your character obtain this item (1 paragraph or more please): As he is a Chief Engineer, he brings it to work to give it to his engineers, which delegates them into teams with their own team leaders. This allows him to say "Azszau team go fix the bar" instead of having to call them out by names he might not have learned yet. Or which he finds difficult to pronounce, damn Vaurca and Skrell. He likely obtained it by requesting it from Central and the Odin's cargo team. What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell? (2 paragraphs here please): It's pretty self-evident which value this set of items has to him as a Chief Engineer, it makes his life much easier. And is a cool idea he tried out in the past, which failed absolutely horribly due to the difficulty of assigning people to teams. It tells the tragic tale of a Chief Engineer who only wishes to organize his team even more efficiently, but lack the tools necessary to do so. How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP?: By being split into teams even further than they already are, they can be sent together to work on things, working on things together builds bonds and a relationship. Characters who enjoyed working with eachother in a team will likely request to be in a team again in the future, and the cycle continues. Maybe I can pull some Gordon Ramsey shit and "take a chef's apron" so to speak. The possibilities are adequately sized endless! Additional Comments: I would like if the welding mask were restricting to spawning as an Engineering role, as it'd be ballbusted OP otherwise. Similarly, I would like if the delegation armbands only spawned if he joins the round as a Chief Engineer, because the whole point is to assist him with delegation as a Chief.

[Accepted] Skyglazer's Unathi Application
geeves replied to Skyglazer's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Skyglazer approached me to help with their application on Discord, but it ended up being me going, "Yes, yes! This is just right." about forty billion thousand times. I really like the concept, I enjoy that you're using a little used faction in our lore. (One I intend to revamp one day.) You're respectful in DMs, and I think you have ties to some of our new lizard whitelistees, which effectively means you're already great. I like your answers to Shenaanigans' questions as well. You've got my support. +1 -
I'd be behind mechanical introduction of heights and such. We can cap the minimum size to 6' for that Aurora feel.

Moot point when they're losing access as well.

I'm definitely behind this, maintenance should be for antags.

Pretty hot.

I can use my keyboard much faster than I can reposition my mouse to the small sprite of an open door. Using the mouse currently is a trade-off between using the pointer for combat, to mess with my inventory, or to close the door. Often times, scrambling to get your pointer onto the door before something horrible kills you is quite fun.

the little antennae on the headsets look weird, almost out of place, but i can't put my finger on why. can u also add intercom sprites that have a light on when their microphone is on and when their speaker is on?

Works for me.

https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/6919 As of August 30, 2019, Shrapnel has been reduced to an annoyance more than a death sentence. It causes no bleeding, nor organ damage. It merely hurts. I suppose that would be fine and dandy, if the prepwork actually involved the gimmick. Cutting Security's teeth out in preparation for an assault? That's fine. Doing all of it just to play a peacewiz without anything else happening? Not fine. The previous actions should be either preparatory for a specific objective related to the prep, or reactive to actions by the opposing force. It's the very same reason we made it so that voidsuits are uncomfortable, so that Engineers wouldn't run around in voidsuits all the time "for in case a breach happens". A previous antagonist ban as well, if I remember correctly. I am fine with this conclusion, as long as rounds and situations like I described does not occur again, whether by administrative action or personal choice, overseen by administrators and moderators.

It's this mindset which is pretty much my issue, it's striving to play the most efficiently time after time. The reason things go unused is because people don't tend to try and fight against someone that has everything. It leads to a stalemate which either leads to the entire station dying, the entire station pitching in to nuke the antagonist, or literally nothing happening. There's no in-between. Perhaps it's sportsmanship, perhaps it's for the other people's enjoyment. While I'm sure it's fun to be the antagonist in this situation, or the friend of this antagonist, I have found myself on the side of this as non-security, and found it incredibly dull. There's no means to deal with it, so you just have to go with the inane. Others have felt this way as well, and I'd be happy if they pitched in, as Schev has pitched in for the other side. The issue is never with the equipment, but how they're being used. Why has no one I've seen before stocked up to a level of this ridiculousness? There is no point in removing good equipment. Often, the reason there is good equipment is so that many of the players in the round can have one of each, for fun, no? I'd rather not. I don't trust your judgement regarding anything pertaining to Aurora. How? No? Why hasn't anyone else operated like this and gained the reputation Naelynn has? Yes. There are many ways that doesn't involve maximum efficiency and gear to achieve this. I could possibly bomb Red Dock and the Central Ring, that'd generate conflict, but would it be good? If I remember correctly, the specific round I reported only had a single detective. Though, this complaint isn't simply about the single round, but the repeated behaviour over a long period of time. Food for thought, though. Per the Rules section in-game, on how to play an antagonist: Try to do things which will be fun for others, not only yourself. No, and that's a positive. EDIT: after a brief discussion, it would appear that the person who took the complaint is here to stay. i encourage people with things to contribute to post here as well.

Aticius' Lizardhead Application do not steal
geeves replied to Aticius's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Having been a component of this application, as you've discussed many of the facets of Unathi lore with me to be sure you got it right, I'm convinced that you're in tip top shape to play an Unathi. Your lack of characters don't concern me, your reputation from previous servers precedes you. The feedback was all good. The application, as well, is using the new lore I wrote, and makes masterful work thereof, I am extremely happy about this. Application Accepted, now I just need to get the Unathi maintainer to give you the whitelist. It should be done by the time you wake up. (maybe a bit later, cursed perms) -
make it spawn randomly in one of a few defined places, and only the captain knows where, ehehehehehe

BYOND Key: Geeves Game ID: b4f-cwPm Player Byond Key/Character name: Naelynn Staff involved: N/A Reason for complaint: Powergaming as Antag Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? No, the round was in progress, and this is an issue far greater than a single round. Approximate Date/Time: 16 November 2019, 07:55 PM GMT+2 The person I'm lodging the complaint against seemingly has a repeated issue with powergamey behaviour. I say it's powergamey, because it skims juuuuuust below a level that would be unacceptable. In the round example given, the Wizard rushed the spare ID, the captain's voidsuit which they took for themselves, stole all the station voidsuits, stole all the contents of the armory, then crushed it in disposals. Their reasoning (this was ICly, so take it with a grain of salt.), was that, if no one had guns, and no one had voidsuits, no one would try and do something harmful. Well, that's the problem, isn't it? And it didn't just happen in this round. They have a tendency to roll antag merchant, and stock up on the most powerful gear they can get their hands on, just so that they aren't threatened in any way. From what I can see, it's an attempt to railroad gimmicks, to prevent other players from doing anything that might throw a wrench into their plans. I suppose, if it were to happen in a single round, as a raider gimmick perhaps, it'd work out great, but yet again, this is behaviour that keeps occurring. Screenies: Space Wizard (Reported Round): Antag Merchant: Unsure: Antag Merchant: Note: The above screenshots are of different rounds, taken across I think a month or two.

I support removing this feature, it turns a telescience accident into a buggy mess. Teleporting is already criminally underused, and being able to be yeeted out of a round due to RNG isn't fun in the slightest. Not only that, but it doesn't make any sense to me at all. Merge bluespace echoes with the meme gametype or something.
