Scheveningen Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Your character is not meant to be a sexy nurse from one of them suggestive films. This is utterly sinful. Repent and submit to the pope. You are a sinner if you get a rise out of this. The nurse outfits were originally designed to be part of the cosplay outfits from cargo. Someone, I know not who, decided to add them to the selection of the more practical and legitimized uniforms. The skirt-only-look-no-pants-mom! nurse outfits are genuinely immersion-breaking and create other issues on top of that. The nurse outfit expose the knees and some of the arms, while the actual jumpsuits cover the arms and legs completely and are properly sterilized. Any hospital takes sterilization protocol very, very seriously, and it's part of medbay expectations to keep their department cleaner than any other as it is a sterile environment. Showing skin is completely impermissible, and it would be best if the nurse outfits were relegated to the abandoned theater or the costume shipments instead.
Zundy Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I agree so long as they stay in game in say the costume shipments or maint for research purposes.
Butterrobber202 Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 But they promote, uh. Healthy blood flow. Yeah
DronzTheWolf Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I say remove it from the Nurse pool, cleanse Medbay of Thots and Fools. Also add an Orderly alt-title. to go with the uniform.
sonicgotnuked Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 How does this effect anyone really? Who cares if pink hair nurse decided to be dressed as a nurse. I guess we are getting our eyefull of 2d spess nurse boobs. I never actually really seen it memed as much as the maid bot.
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 How does this effect anyone really? Who cares if pink hair nurse decided to be dressed as a nurse. I guess we are getting our eyefull of 2d spess nurse boobs. I never actually really seen it memed as much as the maid bot. People who want to be taken seriously cant wear it. And you spawn with it if you dont have a custom shirt you spawn with. Its like if sec ran around in booty shorts and tricords. Its just bizarre. Its from a bygone age.
AmoryBlaine Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I totally agree with this- the Orderly outfit is equally out of place. Scrubs are what most everyone in Medical should be wearing other than maybe suits and the like under labcoats.
Sytic Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Speaking from experience, I've only ever used it as a joke. It's quite literally just a joke costume item. It's very out of place.
Chada1 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I'd say keep the nurse hat, put the nurse suit into the costume crate. Nurses should probably stand out enough as nurses just with the hat.
Coalf Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Might as well, nobody outside of IPCs wears it anyways. But I don't see why not just keep it as an option in the sub-level medical and make nurses spawn in something more normal. It's about a "Why not" out of 10 from me.
Fox009 Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 I personally enjoy seeing a variety of uniform and clothing options for each department. Not really any reason to replace it unless someone were to re-sprite the default nurses uniform to look more appropriate.
Asheram Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Perhaps time to put nurses and medical residents in scrubs?
Arrow768 Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Implemented with the april update https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/4520
