ERT Resprite + Human/Skrell restriction

I'm trying my hand at respriting NT ERT suits. Here's how it looks so far.

The order is security - medical - engineering - command.

Only Human/Skrell suit sprites will be made and the PR I put up will restrict ERT to Skrell/Humans, seeing as Unathi have Kataphracts and Tajara being in a famous PMC response team based in the heart of Human space doesn't make much sense.

Personally, I would prefer they carry a similar aesthetic to the Sec and Hazard suits- and the HAPT suits. I'm also not that big a fan of the role colouring, would be nice if they all used the L/Tpr's colours with badges or armbands denoting their role. Or maybe different types of helmets to differentiate them.

i love the colour usage, and as fifty percent of the unathi lore team, i'm fine with unathi not being part of the NT ERT

I get more of a power rangers vibe. I do agree with Danse however that the sec suit should be more red and less pink. 

Otherwise, I'm very much looking forward to seeing Kyres' work on the ERT in game.

I think the gradient for the color is a little bit too smooth, but looks pretty good.

 

I don't know about you, but the pink looks more like cherry to me.

The ert is a nanotrasen force. Tajara and unathi work for nanotrasen in high numbers. Therefore tajara and unathi would be be in the ert. The company would explicitly need a race based recruitment policy to make sense of it, which would be good to be upfront about. The other faction based response teams have extenuating circumstances that limit their recruitment outside their species.

I am not a huge fan of the new sprites. 

Imho it would look better if we used the blue one with colored highlights to signify the different roles.

pretty easily, considering it is literally the exact same thing + a combat suit resprite.

Also it holds to some of the feedback here, having done away with the gradient/palette in exchange for a unified palette with highlights. cool

Looks good, a strong improvement, though my concern is it makes NT-ERT very visually similar to TCFL. If this was done on purpose to show that they share a source of equipment, that's a neat touch. But if not, it may raise concerns on how identifiable they are at a glance.

While both ERTs do look a bit similar now I still think the new sprites are 

a) heccing great and

b) similarity shouldnt be too much of a problem since both ERTs almost never will be on the field at the same time. There are also other identifying factors except the suits.

I don't like the color scheme on the ERT suits. These look like Standard NT Voidsuits someone put colored tape on, the biggest offender is the S-ERT RIG, the Blue + Red + Green  just doesn't look right, the colors don't mix well. Additionally the Chest armor just looks odd to me, it's just a vertical strip of armor? It doesn't actually look like a chestplate.  It might just be my perspective, since we don't have any side facing reference pics.

Military RIG looks fine though, and I like it quite a bit. I'm not sure why it's purple tinted, but sure.

Given that they're both NT's armies, I think it works fine tbh. 

I think the sprites are nice and fine for the suits, but I do second Butterrobber's point that the color used may be a little too similar to the one for the NT sec voidsuit. Maybe darken it a tad? Design wise it seems fine and inline with our current freshest set of voidsuit sprites, and the combat respite is way way overdue. I also think that the ERT being restricted to humans and skrell is good, they're the only species that can be Odin guards after all. Feels fitting that NT's ERT would be comprised of just them.
