  1. Oh, awesome. Yeah, more colorables are always good. Keeps the loadout tidy while producing options.
  2. Using phoron salts in a recipe makes it needlessly complex and dangerous. The idea of it being limited is a good one, though. Cloning blows and this is a good step for a better alternative IMO.
  3. Makes sense to have one. If a helmet gives this type of unga HoS confidence to go in first and get killed immediately, then this suggestion will be my favorite on the forums.
  4. These are extremely good answers and demonstrate an understanding of the lore very well. I can't think of many newt characters, but you certainly have the roleplaying chops to pull it off, as other people have said. I do have some personal gripes with parts of your roleplay, but on the whole, you're one of the consistently better players on the server. You're open to conversation and criticism, you're very kind OOC, and this is an extremely good app. A well-earned +1 from me.
  5. Sec main bad -1 Goret's a good lad and a solid mod. I honestly thought you were around for much longer than this. Good RP, good sense of the rules, definitely someone who understands that the round is meant to progress as a story rather than "shut down the antags and win so I can brag." Definitely a player who can reign in the validhungry workers in his department, and someone who can communicate IC pretty well- I think Goret as command would be great for the server. Hearty +1
  6. Generic, but not bad as alt uniforms at all. Good for gimmicks where you want to look really professional. I don't think JB's critique of desaturation is a bad one; you can have colors pop without going full cartoon. But Kyres is right in that they need more selection, and these are nicely done and would be a good set in a pool of choices.
  7. Mining is okay but sort of wish we stuck with the purple. They just look so bland, and almost engineering colors. Not into it. The voidsuits are sharp, though I agree with Fresh's points. Lockers are REALLY cute, big fan. Cargo tech sprites look just gross. I really, really don't like that yellowish-green. It's like vomit. A big step down from their current uniforms. As for alt colors, I like their current mix of grey and tan already present. Maybe work with that.
  8. Snoopy is the only sec main I like. Your RP is incredible, your ability to enable creativity and antag play is top notch, and you've been here for a long time. Love the days of Sunny and Azza. There's nothing more to be said. Snoopy as command would be something I'd love to see, especially since command lately has been.... Well, actually, let me ask you. What's your experience with the current state of command, and how would you like to improve or contribute to it? I know that's a broad question. Regardless, a very firm +1
  9. Pikes are what I originally thought were how you made spears. It's quite easy. All you need is ten planks of wood and a spearhead. The rest you'll put together.
  10. Yikes.
  11. There is a book in the library which tells you how to make a pistol. So "find out ICly" applies.
  12. Haha holy shit, this is awesome.
  13. Again, cargo having things does nothing to reduce the grind. I agree that starting with ALL levels is too much. It totally went over my head that that's what was meant. Even with engineering, the things were streamlined, but still require intervention and setup. But something? Even like, 2, 3 4 in certain things? Anything to help robotics have SOMETHING when there isn't science staff (And you can't use the 'unwillingness' point here, since unless you're making a character able to do both jobs, you really can't do anything about it even if you're willing to put in work). Anything to reduce a bit of the tedium for RnD by a little bit.
  14. Fair enough, but unfortunately I saw Dick Yung around last night and he, again, seemed pretty greytidey. Yelling about beepsky eating him, carrying around a fuel tank you bought like it's a pet, etc. Overall really not seeing great RP from you, though some moments were pretty okay. I'd like to see you try your hand at being a less jokey character so we can see you're able to adhere to our rather lax HRP standards. A -1 from me for now, but I hope the feedback encourages you to improve rather than discourages you from trying.
  15. Will @Zundy have a romance arc?
  16. I thought Douglas Day was greytide, given how much he screamed one round about chemistry being on fire, when it was a vaurca in there, and later did other LRP nonsense in the same round. Not a great start. Dick Yung seems to know very little about speaking with his team, and frankly I've seen you display a serious lack of keeping up on communications. It's quite frustrating. I really don't feel you're ready for a command whitelist. You need to spend some time working on your RP and playing well-rounded characters, as well as keeping up on communication. Honestly, I feel like you're not even too comfortable fitting in with a HRP environment from what I've seen. I'd like to see you work on your core play, especially coming off a recent unban, before even thinking about going up to command.
  17. Even as a cargo player who knows what department gets what, sorting and sending the warehouse, even if TRYING to get this stuff to science asap and ignoring everything else, would still take a good ten minutes. A normal sorting would take 20+, longer if people are new or RPing. This also does nothing to alleviate the grind, which is the main issue presented in the OP. It just means you're saving a couple clicks printing items and shoving them in the science machine. The only thing the warehouse does is sometimes allow them to get levels beyond the "I need mining's delivery" stopping point, on an unreliable basis, which is not the talking point of this suggestion.
  18. This is a consistent problem I've gnoticed with Khaled's play. Gno matter how many thotty command waifus I make to try and have a romance arc with him, he turns me down so I have to settle for someone like Nick Volvalaad or Kuhserze Ioraks. Just about every day I see this happen. I've gone through perhaps fifteen captains alone since my command whitelist. Honestly this has gone from an IC issue to what I suspect is an OOC metagrudge. I've even started making the waifus look different and have different personalities recently, but that doesn't even work. You need to double check your responsibilities as command, Abo. You may be busy coordinating your department but you have obligations to command, too.
  19. hmm today I will be the toxic hero the station deserves

    1. furrycactus

      furrycactus

gosh doxx stop trying to play hero all the time smh

  20. This would help robotics tremendously. This is akin to the engineering updates which removed tedium (shield setup on surface, phoron canisters in hard storage). I would suggest a middle ground- Not the level max before you require materials, but starting with something so it only takes maybe 5 minutes. This provides some busywork, sure, but it's also good for early-round teaching new players how to shove things in the science machine, even without miners on shift. However, I do not play RND so take my idea with a grain of salt. Robotics, though... we need SOMETHING. Pleazze, zzir, juzzt a crumb of rezzzearch levelzz...
  21. Yeah it's not worth using a single emag charge on a drone that can deconstruct walls, open/bolt/electrify every airlock for you (and still walk through them), control alarms/computers/etc, build things for you with self-generated materials, and unlike a borg is totally ignored by crew until it starts attacking or interacting them (and can be carried in your hand/on your head). Better save that charge to open a door, or make the cleanbot spray gibs.
  22. sol blows lmfao elyra 4 life
  23. Adorable. Quality stuff, as ever.
  24. Something that makes them a tool in an antag's arsenal rather than a weapon. Emagging things provides utility- access, distractions, etc. Drones should be in line with that. They can be a personal multitool of access. Remove the plasma cutter. Sure the damage is weaker now, but coupled with the drone's ability to hide and control airlocks, it makes it a powerful weapon it has no business having. Remove the drone's ability to electrify doors. It really shouldn't have this to begin with. If you're right and they can't be ion'd or affect by EMP, make it so they can be. Reduce drone durability overall. Even regular drones don't need to be tough, to be honest. This would be at least a start to making them easier to deal with.
