I would never support a nerf unless IPCs were made vulnerable to HALLOSS. It can safely be said that they're the mechanically strongest 'species' on the roster, when they demand lethal response or more often the singular ion rifle. If you're an antagonist with telecrystal access, invest in the 'IPC surge prevention module' or (and this applies to several without telecrystal access) use your choice of ion/EMP to disable the enemies' energy weaponry in a beautiful irony. If you're a non-antagonist, accept that you have a mechanical weakness in exchange for being one of the most anti-antagonist 'species' on the station.

Sol Common remains one of the most disgustingly terrible things ever written in the history of science fiction. I'd support more variety (I'd say real life languages but those can be RPed well enough, though it doesn't mean I'm averse to them) to draw away from the ridiculous concept of 'only one language used in Sol'.
-
I'm not against more cultural languages. Why not.

Give them very slightly faster natural regen or something. Humans heal very well, compared to most species. I would never want to see them (or any species) become anywhere near as blatantly overpowered as IPCs. Those are a very poor model to compare against in regard to balance.

Should be visible yes, make the vampire need to expend blood or something to conceal it on a living being and make them unable to conceal it on someone dead.

I like the third idea. The points were already increased fairly recently, so upping to 20 doesn't seem quite right. Clothing being cheaper also makes sense, I suppose.

With the nukies I'd just suggest letting them spend TCs on it so they have to make the decision whether to invest their limited resources into medicine, or to steal/manufacture it themselves on-station. Heisters weren't really supposed to self-surgery outside of using ghetto methods, but if they've fallen behind due to the medical changes that's unfortunate and should probably have something done regardless.

I'd rather never see a system of moods as that would imply the game is telling me how my character emotionally feels. But suggestion this seems harmless enough and can be well and easily ignored if a player decides to - even if some Chaplain will inevitably complain that his aura isn't mind control or something silly like that.

I don't have any feedback, this is simply a good suggestion. +1

I'd say make the age a flat 18 just to avoid the creepier aspects of the community.

100% should be viable weapons that need to be wielded. 30 brute when hit on the head or bust.

No one uses the pool. Just expand the access to other roles, since only the Janitor and Engineering should be fucking with the lights anyways.

The only server I'm aware of that does it is (currently) closed source.

I'm curious to see how this goes, do share any results of test merges.

Ideally with the apolitical rename, Sec may be more or less inclined to take a neutral stance or support the Contenders.
-
It's a year later but from what I recall I picked the names for both being roughly apolitical and somewhat on their definitions. Intent was 'Contenders' for Revs, 'Fellows' for Loyalists. I don't have any balancing ideas for the moment as I haven't seen enough of the recent rev changes to argue for or against anything. Best I can say is that if you go with the reflavour, keep an eye on how it affects recruitment statistics and accommodate accordingly if it ends up particularly one-sided over many rounds.

Agreed with the above. Less inane shit like potted plants and sunglasses.

Let Liasion/Consular open a ghost spawner for an assistant.

Someone's personal assistant doesn't change every 3 hours. I understand your intent, but for immersion's sake the liaisons/consulars should be able to select their assistant - or easier, just let them pick whoever from the crew/visitors in the good ol' RP way and add some supporting paperwork for this. -
Sure why not. Also yes cigarette butts aren't going to burn you, even at their freshest you'd need to be an absolute fucking pussy to get burnt by them seeing as you're hopefully not pressing them into your skin.

You're murdering the only person capable of reliably figuring out who a murderer is. The Detective is the biggest threat to anyone attempting to be stealthy; why ruin the fun for him by killing him instead of challenging his investigative prowess? If there's a risk involved of dying, then you're dissuaded from murdering someone. The radio thing isn't a risk, most people either won't notice or they will and will never figure out what happened to him. The station's biggest non-Command target shouldn't be an easy kill.

I have no feedback until something tangible is shown.

If your cybernetic limb comes off easy as a limb in Toy Story, then it's especially poorly designed - these aren't modern prosthetics that can be yoinked off, they're cybernetics fully integrated with their owner. I do like the idea of the HUD integrations, though.

Let Liasion/Consular open a ghost spawner for an assistant.
Carver replied to Roostercat's topic in Archive
Would they be able to select a specific person for this role? Per pAIs, ghost spawners are utterly unreliable and it generally might make more sense for characters to have specific personal assistants rather than 'random joe from dsay'... To which, now that I ponder it, it'd probably be better to just have someone come on as a visitor and be your assistant/bodyguard rather than having a weird spawn system for it.
